Overcharges customers credit cards and does not take care of business by getting refunds to customers. I have been dealing with them for over a year to get my account closed and a refund on 2 months of fees refunded. Horrible customer service!

The tanning is nice and the place is clean but heaven forbid you try and get out of your contract. First, you pay an initiation fee to tan and then you get drafted for the full month on the 15th of the month as well. Apparently the«12 month» contract you sign up for doesn’t start until the first auto drafted payment. Umm okay? So in order to cancel before your 12 months is up REGARDLESS of being unable to control a job transfer which no longer allows you to live in the area, you must pay $ 100. That’s on top of the auto drafted amount. So don’t sign up on the 26th of March one year and then try to cancel on the 14th of April the next year bc you will be told the following 1. You must give 30 days notice to cancel so you will still be charged $ 56 the next day even though you have not used their services in 2 months. 2. You must come in person and cancel. 3. The money that you paid in the beginning just to tan there is just lining their pockets and they will do nothing to accommodate you. Terrible customer service. Do yourself a favor and tan at Celsius. At least your year is up the day you signed the contract the following year not weeks later and it’s not as painful as trying to move out of an apartment to leave this salon. What a headache. Nothing like a run around and an extra $ 56 fornothing.

I have the Level 1 Unlimited Tanning package for about $ 18/mo. When I first signed up here, I received free minutes in the Level 2 bed and quickly used those up. Level 2 was very nice. I especially liked the aroma mist it gently sprays on your face throughout your tan. But, I wanted something cheap, so I stuck with Level 1. I use to tan at Celsius across the street. I did their level 2 unlimited tanning and it was almost $ 30/mo. So when I gave Solarium a try, I was surprised at how much better it was. I tanned faster at their level 1 than Celsius’s level 2. Plus it was nearly half the price. The beds were bigger too. And the salon is much nicer. Always clean, always friendly service. I never buy any of the extras they try to offer(upgrades, lotions, etc), and they don’t try to force it on me like they did at Celsius. They ask every once in a while but they don’t make me feel bad about taking advantage of it. It’s a quick in and out in under 20 minutes. I haven’t tried any of their spray tanning, but I hear it’s really good. Great, fast, friendly service!

I have to agree with Cyndi F. — and this is 2 ½ years later. The place is very nice, clean and has tons of beds. Their prices are comparable to other places I have gone. However, every time I went in there, they tried to sell me something. It really got annoying. I just started cutting off the teeny-boppers when they tried to talk. I’m sure I was known as the rude old lady. You guys are all computerized. Why don’t you put a note next to my name saying… doesn’t use lotion, only interested in a tan for the summer, shut up and let her get to her bed. I found a different place this year through a Groupon. Solarium is fine, and maybe even a little cheaper than my new place, but I gladly pay a few bucks more a month for no sales tactics.
