I very rarely write 1 star reviews. I can’t believe I have to write a 2nd one in as many weeks. It all started when my waitress gave me a menu and then asked me that very second, «What do you want?» Ummmmm. it is my first time here… can I get a second? It went all downhill from there. The food is mediocre. I paid with cash, and it took me 15 minutes to get my change back. I think she was hoping that I would just leave without my change. I guess if you want to feed a big group of people and cheap prices is your main priority, you should come here.

Vito’s gets 4 stars for yummy pasta dishes but loses a star for their pizza. I like the taste but you need extra napkins to soak up the grease. The staff are super friendly and eager to help. But I get my pizza slices at the other place across the shopping area. Oddly enough that place doesn’t do pasta very well. Good but not great.

This place wasn’t horrible, but I wouldn’t go back. I would rather heat up any frozen pizza and pay half the price.

This was my wife’s idea. She claimed we had been here before, several years back. I knew I had been, but it was years before I met her. Turns out, she was thinking of Pizzeria Valdiano at the opposite corner of the shopping center, over by Friendly Confines. Whatever, we’re committed now that we’ve walked in. So she orders two slices, one cheese and one ‘bianca’ I think it was called(white pizza). I ordered a cheesesteak sub. We had also decided to get some garlic knots, but luckily I saw the high price and asked the waitress how many garlic knots came in an appetizer order of garlic knots. She said, «I don’t know but it’s like a giant pile of them.» Good thing I asked, I guess, since no one was volunteering the information. Instead we got«garlic sticks», which came in sets of 6 and were far less expensive. I expected something similar to garlic knots, just in stick form. What we got was super greasy garlic bread cut into six strips and covered in powdered«cheese». Awful. The waitress returned to the table to tell my wife that, although it’s mentioned nowhere on the menu and wasn’t caught during her order and has all the evidence of a rule just made up in the kitchen 5 seconds ago, the ‘bianca’ pizza cannot be ordered one slice at a time, you have to order at least two slices. So she switched her order to two cheese slices instead of one of each. My cheesesteak arrived, which was basically Steak Umms(or some generic version of the pressed and formed slices of low-grade meat, cooked and cut up into bits) with cheese and onions. My wife’s pizza tasted like something out of a mall food court, and the crust was hard and crunchy but not in a fresh crust kind of way — more of a «sitting around way too long under a heat lamp» kind of crunchy.

Was visiting from ATL for the weekend. we decided to make a stop here one night to pick up dinner. Everything looked pretty good, so we decided to give it a shot. Ordered a couple pies and some garlic knots. My only complaint is that they took our money and order, then forgot to cook it. After waiting a half hour, I went up and asked about our order. The girl kind of blew me off then I saw them making it. Making pizza was a high school job of mine when I was a kid. It only takes 15 minutes to make a pizza start to finish including cook time. an hour later we were leaving. The manager was a good guy, but the teenage girls in there screw it up.

Straight up: this place sucks. My baked ziti had spoiled ricotta cheese. I tasted the funk on the first bite and spit it out into a napkin. Told the server about it when she finally noticed that I wasn’t eating, and she told the manager /cook dude in the back. He openly sniffed the container of ricotta cheese and looked at me suspiciously. He was extremely indignant about it and insisted that I was mistaken. Funny thing is, he threw the container in the garbage can. They wanted me to pay for half of the ziti, which I thought was absolutely insane. The one bite I took, I spit into a napkin because it was soured. Terrible treatment, service, and food. I haven’t been back there since. If you want moldy cheese, I’d recommend saving yourself some money and just going dumpster diving. I’m willing to bet there’s no difference in quality and taste. If you’re in that area and you’re looking for REAL Italian food, drive into the Publix plaza(on Colonial and Alafaya) and give Goodfella’s a try. Their entire menu is amazing.

Ok, I have to be honest, we weren’t looking for this restaurant. We sat in the parking lot thinking was this the place… no…it wasn’t. For the price, which was very agreeable, and the food was decent. We got the Vito’s Sampler and Vito’s Supreme. This is more or less a NY Style pizza joint. You won’t find the more experimental pizza crust and selections you would in other carry out places. We watched a few orders make their way out, but we were actually well past the dinner rush so it wasn’t crowded at all. Being Sunday they close at 10pm, we sat a little after 8pm. Sort of a peeve of mine is closing prep work being done while people are dinning and the restaurant is open. This is a small venue with an open floor plan so you can see everything going on in the better part of the dinning area and front kitchen. I am not sure if there were break rooms or anything like that in the back, however, the servers’ were wrapping silverware sets and such in one of the adjacent tables. Soon after they closed down the other half of the dinning area, 15 minutes later a large group walked in and sat down in the now closed corner then forcing them to get up and move just after they had made themselves comfortable. The«please be seated» sign was up next to the door. The staff was friendly though and it wasn’t a show stopper, but I am somewhat subliminally rushed when the staff does close prep work next to the dinners. In the restaurants that I had worked in before something like that would simply be cause for decapitation and it likely the reason it stands out. Overall, not bad for the price. The food was decent, prices were in line with the style and service. I was tempted to rate this a three star but the prep activity just made me want to get out. If that doesn’t bother you, roll with it as a 3 star and enjoy, perhaps they will hand you some napkins and you can help wrap a fatty!

Well its Friday time to try and new pizza place. When I looked up the review got confused and and the review for nearbye Valdiano instead. So that was a bummer. I usually go in first to check the menu as I am picky and do not want to go to an overpriced place that serves gourmet pizza. Well when I looked at the menu it said gourment pizzas. I did not see a plain cheese pizza, this wasn’t a good sign. I have gone to a place like this before in Tampa where they did not have just a plain cheese pizza and hated it. They had odd toppings and prices that showed they were indeed gourmet. So I asked a waitress if they had just plain cheese pizza she said yes, then asked if they sold 18 inch pizza? It was not on the menu, but I have found that most places still sell them even if not on menu. She said yes. The reason being is my family eats more then a 16 inch offers, and I didnt want to have to order 2. Well we sat down, I looked at the pizzas that were being served they were rather thin but were ok. The waitress comes over and before we could say anything asks what you want to drink don’t you just hate that? Well we asked if they had just plain cheese pizza and she said yes gave us the price something like $ 14.00 I think for a 16 inch. Then before we could ask about the 18 inch asked us again for drink order again. We then asked about the 18 inch, and said no. She again said well what do you want for drinks, that way you can look over the menu. I told her nothing as we were leaving. She had a confused look on her face, I told her we were told when we entered that they had 18 inch pizza. I did not want to buy two pizzas for $ 28.00. We never did get to try it out. But I was already pissed about getting told the wrong info in the first place. The mad rush to get our drink orders never sits well with me as well. We were also very close to other places to get something we wanted.

It had been a few years since I had been to Vito’s and I wanted to try someplace outside of my usual lunch spots. I remembered Vito’s being pretty mediocre, but figured, «hey, maybe they’ve changed!» There are two entrances into the restaurant. The main one seems to be the one facing 434. Walking in from the other direction, I chose to enter from the side entrance next to Best Buy. I found myself standing in the corner where the employees seem to hang out while they’re not busy. It seemed… awkward. Just use the front entrance. I sat myself at a small table and the waitress came over shortly with a menu. It contains all of the standard pizzeria fare that you’d expect. Pizza, pasta, hot subs — nothing particularly interesting, but I’ve seen specials advertised on the board outside that have sounded pretty good. If there was a special today, no one mentioned it to me. I chose to go with my standard two slices with pepperoni. While I waited, I looked around. There are some nice murals painted on the walls and the restaurant is nice and open. It feels like many of the pizzerias I grew up with in New York. My slices came out pretty quick. Looking at them, I could tell I wasn’t going to be too thrilled with it. The crust is thinner than I like which means it would be crispier than I like as well. There was also a lot of grease pooling on the top of the slices. Good pizza should have some grease, but this was too much. The sauce itself tasted almost unseasoned. Service here was friendly, but not really all that attentive. I take my time eating, but I had finished an entire slice before my waitress had checked in on me. The place wasn’t exactly busy either. She came by after I was finished to ask if I was ready for the check — which I was — but she didn’t take the empty plate from the table. Nitpicky, I know — but I don’t like sitting there with a empty and dirty dish in front of me. In the end, I had paid a little more than I usually pay for a pizza lunch and had an unoffensive, but forgettable experience. Maybe I’ll give them another few years and try them again.

I started this draft while waiting here… And waiting… And waiting. I’ve done lunch at Vito’s more than once, and I have to say, it seems far better for lunch. Being here in the evening, the atmosphere is lackluster compared to the lunch hours. At night, it just doesn’t feel right. The tile floors, green lights, wood paneling… it sounds like it has potential for character, but trust me, it doesn’t. That natural light coming through the large windows on the front and side really makes a difference during the day. The inside is completely open with a high beveled ceiling. The openness contributes to a serious noise problem. Even though the restaurant wasn’t full and isn’t big, it sounded like we were at a place far larger and far more crowded. Basically, it looks and feels like it should cost far less than it actually does to eat here. The food was good, as always, but for the wait and the price I would have gone elsewhere. My beer was brought out immediately — about half an hour to forty minutes prior to having any food on the table. I was here for about an hour and a half to two hours, for the record, and most of that was waiting for food. By the time it got to the table, everyone inhaled it because we were all so hungry from waiting! Being in the Waterford Lakes Town Center, there are cheaper, faster, friendlier dinner options. I was informed by someone in my party that the pizza was worth all of this, at least. The server was nice, but hardly stopped by and didn’t refill any drinks, and we had to wait and wait and wait for some napkins because our dispenser was empty. At the end of the night, my entire party agreed — we wished we had gone elsewhere. We all do still enjoy Vito’s for lunch. I think we all concluded that Vito’s can be hit or miss — and this visit just so happened to be a miss. Overall, not a terrible place, but I would skip it for dinner and go to somewhere cheaper and more comfortable. For lunch, however, Vito’s is awesome.

Picked this place on a whim when out shopping at Waterford. The first thing I noticed was .99 beers on Wednesday nights. Unfortunately it wasn’t Wednesday because that’s one heck of a deal. The server was incredibly friendly and attentive. Their menu is extensive. And the beer was ice cold. It had a typical pizza parlor vibe(something akin to an Italian bar) that my mom and I enjoyed for quite awhile. Great place to duck in to, a «neighborhood» place. The food was okay. It’s really the reason for the three stars. As mentioned in previous reviews, there’s definitely a grease factor. We had both a pasta dish and some pizza that were just a little too bland. Maybe they’re going for a season it yourself thing? There were plenty of things available on the table to spice things up. Plus side, all the food was much better the next day as leftovers.

OK, for a house salad, mozzarella sticks, a pitcher of beer, 2 carnolies and a large pizza(half sausage, half pep) it was only $ 36, and that fed 3 with leftovers. The pizza is really really good… way better than the chain pizza joints. I have never had any of the other many items on the menu, but i plan to give them a try soon… but i just cant get over the pizza… yea its greasy, what pizza isn’t. that’s what paper towels are for, and who said pizza was meant to be healthy anyways???

I may be a little biased because I know the owners and they often give me a free slice on my lunch break. but this place is for sure one of the best Italian restaurants you can find in Orlando, and I’m super picky with my Italian food as my parents used to own a pizzeria. Their dinner entrees are a little pricey, but you get a huge portion. Usually I take the rest home and get at least 2 more meals out of whatever I order, so definitely worth the money. The place itself is pretty well set-up, lots of seating inside and outside. It’s always very clean and the service is great. The kitchen is partially open, so you can watch them make pizzas and salads and the kitchen is always clean and everything looks fresh. Great place, well run, never had a bad experience.

Vito’s is pretty incredible. They have delicious subs, pasta, and pizza. The Pizza Steak Sub is my favorite — it’s almost like a Philly but because they put sauce on it, it’s different, therefore not disappointing me. The only qualm I have is that the prices at Vito’s are a bit higher than what they would be at any other pizza/sub/pasta type place. Perhaps it’s because they package their subs in boxes instead of foil? Either way, Vito’s is definitely worth a try if you haven’t yet!

Vito’s has very delicious pizza! The ingredients in the pizza set it clearly apart from most pizzas. They’re fresh. I’m so grateful that they deliver to East Orlando. It’s some of the greatest pizza around. It has a perfect ratio of cheese to tomato sauce and the crust is soft, full of substance, and tasty. It’s also a great bet for a quick dinner before a movie at Waterford. The service is fast and friendly. The pizza is also affordable. I have no reason to order from the big chains like Papa Johns anymore. I can get much better pizza from Vito’s for a cheaper price.

Vito’s is a fine little Italian Pizzeria and Deli located in Waterford Lakes. I’ve been here a few times and have been pretty happy with my meals. Their Baked Ziti is cooked just right and their sauce is pretty good. They offer pizza by the slice at all times of the day for $ 2.00(50 cents for each additional topping). I ordered a slice with mushrooms, spinach and artichokes and it was pretty darn good. My husband got the Antipasto salad which(for only $ 6.95) was piled high with provolone, salami, and ham. They made it fresh as I waited and it looked pretty tasty. My favorite thing about Vito’s is their garlic knots. They are bite-sized and definitely adorable. They aren’t too greasy and make for a great snack or a compliment to their excellent Antipasto salad. Vito’s gets my seal of approval for fast take-out service, fresh ingredients, and a friendly staff and atmosphere. Check ‘em out!
