Great food. good service. oddly no drink menu??? wth!?? I asked them what they had to drink and the waiter said«everything». umm that’s great Im not a bartender I was expecting the RESTERAUNT to come up with the drink types. You wouldn’t ask me to come up with the menu would you? I had to get up and go to the outside bar to ask the bartender there for suggestions. Now over to the service bar to ask the Hostess who was also the bartender and maybe the manager too to make the drink. Here comes a waiter he interrupts and tells me to hold on and he places his order. YES its the service bar but I am STILLTHECUSTOMER and I would be there if you had a drink menu!.. 15 min process start to finish Im starting to get POed but the menu looks good. food was awesome. DONTMISS the Stroganoff app. Super delicious. Waiter was actually from France nice guy little stuffy. but he hes French right? I definitely recommend but come on guys it looks lazy that you haven’t put together a drink menu!

This is our favorite restaurant in Orlando. We live in Philadelphia, but come to Orlando frequently and always try to make a special visit to the Venetian Chop house and previously the Venetian room. Having been to many of the finest restaurants in the northeast we are always blown away by the quality of the service here. Easily rivals the best restaurants up North. The food is delicious. Make sure to save room for the soufflé at the end!

I really, really wish I could give this location more than 5 stars. THAT’S HOWWONDERFULITIS! My family and I visited this restaurant while visiting family friends that were staying in the hotel. We were a little weary about coming here because of the menu prices, but decided to give it a go. Immediately upon entering the restaurant, it felt like you were at home. Happy, smiling faces greeted you as you walked in and seated you at your table. One thing I can say for sure is that I don’t believe I have ever had such amazing customer service in my life. Our server, Yan was delightful. He has worked there for over 10 years and knows what he’s talking about. He guided us through the menus(which lit up by the way) and was more helpful than I could ever explain. You receive an array of different breads with gourmet butters that are life changing and I would go back to this location just to have their burgundy butter again! I ordered the salmon, which was the most delicious salmon I have ever eaten in my life and my family members all enjoyed different cuts of steak which melted like butter in your mouth. You definitely pay for the amazing food, but it is so worth it. Again, I cannot commend the staff enough. Everyone from the hostess to our server to the bussers and food runners went out of their ways to make our night enjoyable. When our young son asked for ketchup with his mountain of chicken tenders and fries(which were the best I’ve ever tried in my life) they even brought the ketchup out on a plate in the shape of a smile. It’s the little things like that that make a night enjoyable for the whole family. Jerry, I believe was his name. I apologize if that is wrong, but the GM of the restaurant was so wonderful as well and personable that he added the cherry on top of the whole experience. He graciously thanked us for coming and was quick to fix and/or add on any thing that we could ask of him. Overall, this is a hidden gem of Orlando that everyone needs to try. I cannot wait to return.

I had a good experience at the Venetian Chop House for my husband’s birthday but not great. I had to take off 1 star because it took them ½ hour to get our entrees out and it wasn’t really busy and also we had an extra charge for sauce on our bill which we did not order. Besides the 2 problems, I would say this is a nice place to celebrate a special occasion.

We’ve been going to The Venetian Room for special occasions since 2012. Always a wonderful experience. Kept wishing it wasn’t such a haul from downtown into the Land Of Tourists. We weren’t surprised by the name change since we had been alerted to some«tinkering» with the menu but wanted to find out first hand. Took advantage of a birthday offer and made reservations. Very pleased to see multiple occupied tables. «Jackets required» is now«suggested» and maybe that’s part of it but Chop House breeds familiarity and the addition of several meat entrees to some of the old favorites is the draw. My wife had the filet and proclaimed it to be on par with Christner’s(high praise, indeed) and I had the lamb porterhouse, two thick pieces of perfect, too much to finish(and I do not say that often). Service is always outstanding. We’ve had Matsi Levi take care of us almost every visit and we look forward to seeing him again. Stylish, personable, unintrusive… as is the entire staff. I kept bugging him to not let me forget my remaining lamb and it was waiting for me at the door as we left. Classy idea. We took our own wine but their list is impressive, carefully selected and certainly not run-of-the-mill. The Venetian Chop House is still one of the finest restaurants in central Florida.

Located in the Caribe Royale, this is such a romantic and cozy dining room for couples to sit next to each other in their own private table area! We felt like we got the best seat in the house, but honestly, everybody did! Our server was cordial and unobtrusive. Without asking, Evian was poured for us. Love this! At a fine dining establishment where you’re paying a pretty penny, it’s a nice touch not having to shell out extra for something other than tap, or even having to decide on it. Loved our dishes, especially the bison short ribs – falling off the bone, literally! Their soufflés are absolutely amazing – their special for that night was a tropical flavor, and I only wish I didn’t have to share it. Grrrr. However, the Dover sole made Long John Silver’s more appetizing(no offense LJS, I heart you!). Based on other reviews, I was looking forward to an amuse-bouche and/or palate cleanser mid-meal – got neither. No chocolate truffles with the check either. Boo. Otherwise, a great dining option for couples and mature adults to get away momentarily from the surrounding children’s entertainment mecca of the world.

This is a very fine establishment with an excellent staff that catered to our every need. We ordered the bison short ribs, which were excellent!!! It’s the first time I have seen that on a menu and I was not disappointed. They were cooked to perfection and were falling off the bone. Also, I highly recommend the tropical soufflé which was also another first for me. Our waiter(Matsliah) was really nice, one of the best we have had. My only complaint was the Dover sole we ordered – it was really disappointing and really doesn’t deserve to be on the menu. If it wasn’t for the poor experience with the fish this place would have gotten a 5 from me. I would definitely come back next time I’m in Orlando. Hopefully by then they’ll do something about that sole…

This is one of my favorites places to dine in the country! The food is fabulous and the staff is even more fabulous. You will feel like royalty when you dine at this fine establishment. I’m originally from NYC, so I know my restaurants. My favorite waiter is Yon(not sure about spelling). We ask for him every time. His ability to select wine is best in class. I love this place!!!

This place was amazing the food is great. Well worth the money. We came for a friend’s birthday, although pricey, but it’s definitely worth the money. The lobster bisque was absolutely amazing. The filet mignon was cooked to perfection and cut smooth like butter. Service was 5 star dining worthy. I will be returning for a date night with my husband so he can experience this place with me again. I will most definitely be ordering the lobster bisque!

This was a lovely experience. Great for dates! The services was exceptional. We were treated to crab cakes appetizer and they were wonderful. I ordered the GNOCCHISTROGANOFF. This was my favorite part of everything I had. Every flavorful and delicious. I could have stopped there. I had the filet and my friend the sea bass. The steak was lovely and perfectly prepared. The fish… unfortunately was very fishy which is very odd for Sea Bass. Not sure if it was just my sensitivity to fish so I didn’t say anything. The crème Brule was very good as well. Again… great venue, excellent service, Check it out!

These French trained waiters give the absolute best service in Orlando. Steak cooked to the perfect temperature. The sauces are all tasty with a perfect texture.

As you can see from my past reviews I have visited here for at least the past 7 years in January always to enjoy my dining experience. This time was no different. One of the things, which makes this place so good is the mature wait staff. This is one of those old style classic restaurants. Kathy and I started our birthday celebration with a bottle of Domaine Saint Michelle for $ 42. I also started with a bowl of delicious lobster bisque for $ 15. We both enjoyed our scallop/shrimp home made risotto specials for $ 45 each. We also appreciated our sorbet intermezzo. See my pics. Our server Matsliah had overhead we were celebrating our birthdays so Matsliah had comp’ed us on a very nice birthday dessert and home made chocolates, which topped off the end of a very nice birthday dinner. Our total bill less gratuity was $ 156.56.

I had high expectations for the Venetian Room, and was a bit disappointed. Not disappointed by service at all. In fact, service was the best part! I was disappointed in a lot of the food. Probably the highlight of the meal was the crabcakes. These babies were choked full of crab, and the sauce was fantastic. We got the gnocchi too, and I just didn’t understand the dish. I don’t even think I got a bite of the gnocchi. I had seen such fabulous pictures of the lobster bisque so I ordered that, only to he disappointed. The bisque was too salty and very thin. I like a bisque that is creamy, and this was almost broth like. In fact, adding the puff pastry into the bisque made it taste better. The sorbet intermezzo was delicious, which was presented before my filet. I had extremely high expectations for the steak, which was cooked a perfect rare, but wasn’t fantastic. It was standard, and the meat wasn’t even fork tender. It was served with a potatoes croquette which for me was too much, but I enjoyed the egg roll type vegetable mushroom side. We did have dessert. The tiramisu was meh, the carrot bomb needed more cream cheese frosting to it(it was presented on the side), but the chocolate dessert was amazing. It looked like a spaceship, and was by far the highlight of the meal. I believe this place used to be good, and for the price and experience, it should have wowed. Oh well, tried it, and won’t do that restaurant again.

There are moments when food rises far beyond sustenance and becomes ingrained in your memory. The Venetian Room is one such dining experience. In its intimate dining room, with service that feels like you’ve made a friend by the end of the night, each plate is revealed through a theatrical lifting of their silver lids. The Lobster Bisque topped with puff-pastry is a the very definition of creamy, seafood decadence. The Bison Short Ribs offers bold, daring flavors in its accoutrements that when combined came together harmoniously. The Tiramisu was a reliable alternative to the more-intimidating Grand Marnier Soufflé(which I will try upon my return) that perfectly balanced its mascarpone creaminess, light fluffy ladyfingers, and coffee liqueur. And completing the meal, the truffled chocolates provided one final reminder after many that evening that elegance never goes out of style. This is one of the best places to dine in Orlando.

I was quite impressed with this small yet elegant and intimate restaurant located inside the Caribe Royale Hotel. We came with a party of 4 during Magical Dining Month. Luckily we called couple days ahead for reservations. For starters the corn and lobster chowder was fantastic, very creamy with sliced pieces of lobster. The BBQ duck confit on a waffle was interesting with a sweet touch to it. I’m not sure if I loved it though. The highlight of my meal was the lump crab key west Mahi dish. It was Amaaaazing! The fish was cooked just right. Black angus rib eye was good but nothing spectacular, I mean you can get that anywhere. To end the meal, apple tart and a chocolate mousse sphere. Apple tart was good, the filling kind of tasted like a cheesecake texture. Chocolate mousse was too sweet and rich for me but my friend seemed to enjoyed it. Our waiter was courteous and he frequently checked up on us. Service was top notch. The presentation of the food was pretty and impressive. Overall a positive experience.

4.5FAST review coming right up. Lindsley A and I saved the last day of Magical Dining Month for this AAA4 diamond restaurant FOOD: Everything was delicious. I can give details and descriptions on how i enjoyed every ingredient and presentation but the menu will change. I just have to say that I loved the gourmet ingredient and the expert way everything was cooked and presented. Plus pictures are worth a thousand words… so check out the pictures. They start with a complimentary amuse bouche– a little bite-sized treat prepared by the chef. We had a cream cheese and tomato combo. Nice and tasty. Then they begin the bread service with 5 kinds of bread and 3 kinds of spread! Then on to the appetizers. Wow-factor was they poured the soup table-side. FANCY! After the apps course they provide you with a tiny serving of sorbet to perfectly cleanse your palette for the main course. The main courses are served with those fancy metal dish covers for added presentation points. Dessert was amazing and chocolate truffles were served when our check came. AMBIENCE: Small dining room makes for a romantic and intimate dinner. Dim lighting with chandelier areas. Typically sit couples side by side so they can cozy up next to each other, unless you get a table by the window. The clientele was mostly well older adults who seem to be regulars here and then a few of us couples trying this place out for the first time. SERVICE. Throughout the dinner, our waiter was attentive and friendly. The others who brought our food and cleared our settings were all very courteous and unobtrusive. As some people said, they are a little stingy on the water, but maybe cause they use Evian. I was drinking Malbec anyway… TIP: They have valet, but there’s plenty of self-parking. Save yourself a couple of bucks. The place is small so you should probably get a reservation I was a little nervous to try out this place since the hotel that it is located in is going through renovations, but was glad to find a great fine-dining restaurant. A few minor improvement details and this would’ve been a solid 5 star

Magical Dining Menu fare. BBQDUCKCONFIT — interesting best describes this. Okay interesting with the flavors of Halloween? Hard to discern what is going on here. Good is about as appropriate as interesting. Once will do fine. CORN&LOBSTERCHOWDER — This was tasty. The three minuscule slices of lobster and the pair of dice sized, «Peruvian purple potatoes» accompanied with another pair of jalapeño cornbread croûton cubes, too were welome to the dish.(the soup is poured into the bowl of pretty arranged parts in front of you.) The lobster was very flavorful bits and the soup is the corn chowder base.
BLACKANGUSRIBEYE Warm pink center was delish. Their searing process is quite a flavor add. The Cabernet sauce also added enjoyable dimensions to the flavor. Pre sliced steak on the plate is different, but that allows the chef the creative license to make it purdy wiff all the other colorful things on the plate. My solitary baby yellow squash may have been a little undercooked but I do prefer under to over cooked vegs. The toasted couscous, red chard, was totally lost on my pallet– as I tasted little to nothing. Mom did say to eat my vegetables and clean your plate. Service was great up to near the end; in which they will allow the water glasses to go arid w/o conscience and become rather scarce in visitations. Oh-I forgot the APPLEMASCARPONETART. Rum infused mascarpone? Okay– The shell for the tart is their black cocoa which was a good cocoa flavor. The dish was actually a bit heavy after all the previous arty-sey dishes so I managed about ½ the tart and all the caramelized cinnamon apple slices.

Came here during Magical Dining & It was an experience. The restaurant reminded us of the old world italy type ambience. You are seated by your partner arm to arm not across the table unless requested. Wait staff will walk with you to show you where the restrooms are located in which is a nice gesture. Why 3 stars? Poor Water service, Average Wait service and bloody presentation in which is unappealing for a fancy dinner. Water here is lukewarm however we were told its part of the«European Flair» is the reasoning behind it. Hmmm ok. Water is bottled with the Caribe Hotel label on it. Chair was not pulled for us when we requested across the table seating. I was quite shock because the wait staff are dressed in tuxedo attire and would expect higher standards in customer service and wait staff mannerisms! Wait staff did not describe the menu options and also many times left our water glasses unfilled. Had to wave down wait staff to have water refilled. Really? Now to the foods — The tomato soup was the starter we chose. It was presented with 3 small pcs of ingredients. ball of chutney, grape tomato of some sort and herbs I believe. Then the the soup itself was a pour down presentation. The soup was tasty except that Nasty Chutney messed up our palate! We were then served a Salmon Amuse Bouche compliments of the Chef. Reminded me of Salmon Cream Cheese on a tart pastry? It was ok tasting and a nice gesture from the Chef. (The Amuse Bouche was served prior to the soup starter). After the soup — We were served a Raspberry Sorbet plated in a Glass tulip dish! Gorgeous presentation! The spoon and glass dish were frozen — You can see the ice particles on them. This was served as a «Palate Cleanser» prior to our entrees being served. The only downfall to the glass floral dish is if your sorbet melted inside the dish its hard to retrieve the sorbet! The entrée were served in metal covers & were revealed tableside. Nice classy touch until My NY Strip entrée was exposed to me. The first thing Ive noticed was Juices of Meat Blood merging to my plate of sauce!!! Very unappealing!!! They cut my meat too soon! I ordered Med Rare & They should have either a) left the meat uncut & I would cut the meat myself or b) allowed the meat to sit longer. I somewhat lost my appetite when I saw bloody juices on my plate! That ruined the gorgeous plating presentation!!! The meat was overcooked outside but tender inside. I should have requested a new batch of NY Strip but I felt it would have ruined our«magical dining» night. The wait staff barely asked us feedbacks on our foods. All of this affected tip % on the bill btw. The dessert was pretty decent. I chose the Espresso Trio. This plate is a Chocolate Lovers dream! Including the base cookie the plate had about 4 – 5 pcs of dessert options! It was plated nice and I actually enjoyed it especially the cake! We expected fine dining however the standards we received this day — They need to learn a few tips from wait staff at Normans & Bluezoo!!! Free Valet Parking!
