I’m staying round the corner at the double tree and wanted to not eat at a chain restaurant. This place had good reviews so I hoped in a taxi. Nice and clean interior and very friendly staff. Good music and not too loud. Ordered some veggie tempura that was very lightly done. Miso was good and hot. Ordered the spider man roll and a masago sushi. All very good. They’ve got lots of sake to choose from too. I’d come back to this mini mall sushi restaurant again.

Ok food and super slow, unresponsive service on Friday night. We got there about 8.05 pm. We were waiting to be seated for about 15 minutes. Since nobody greeted us, we decided to just go ahead and sit at the table. After sitting at the table, it took another 15 minutes to be greeted by a server. We ordered 3 maki rolls and 3 nigiri. It took about 1 hour(we were told it would take about 20 – 25 minutes to get our food). It was very, very slow considering the restaurant was not very busy(probably about 40% of capacity). Even if it is busy, 1 hour of waiting for 3 maki rolls is a bit unacceptable for a restaurant. We are sushi lovers. The most waiting time we have had, not including Sushi Kichi, is about 20 minutes. After getting the 3 rolls(served on 1 plate), I asked for 2 empty plates. The server forgot about it. We had difficult time to find her(didn’t even want to wait for her to bring the plates). We decided to eat without plate(from serving plate to our mouth). I saw about 6 people change their mind(decide to leave) due to long waiting time to be seated even there were 3 open tables. This was our first and last time at this restaurant. So many things are wrong in this place!

Small restaurant in a small shopping center. You won’t find any bento boxes here but what you’ll find is great sushi. We ordered the salmon carpaccio. It was delicious! It was in a soy-oiled based dressing with shredded shallots. We ordered a few other rolls. The salmon teriyaki was also very good. The salmon was thin and the back skin slightly crunchy. Oh so yummy. There was one lad serving and bussing during lunch hour and he did a great job.

Oh my Goodness! What can I say? This place is simply amazing! Price was great, exceeded our expectations. Food is fantastic, service is a little slow, but worth the wait. Do try it out. We were here on Valentine’s Day by the way, so It might have had something to do with the slow service.

What a nice surprise to fly into Orlando and go to a great sushi place! We ordered the following: edamame, gyoza, tempura udon, 4 types of rolls(Poseidon, Spicy Salmon, Spicy Tuna and Ceviche) and salmon sashimi. I love this place. The udon noodles were the best and very authentic, the broth amazing. The fish so fresh and being a Vancouverite, I know my freakin salmon sashimi. Delish! The rolls were all good recommendations from our server. Thank you for a great meal upon our arrival.

This was my family’s first time here, and it won’t be our last! As soon as we walked in, we knew we stumbled upon a strip mall hidden gem; it was packed on a Wednesday night! Never saw that before. The food alone deserves 5 stars — everything from the edamame, grilled squid, sushi/sashimi, and even the complimentary side salad was FRESH and DELICIOUS! My dad ordered the Sushi Lover Combo, which came with 1 roll and assorted sushi and sashimi. He raved about it throughout the meal! My mom ordered the grilled squid special and only had compliments about it. As for me, I had the Royal Salmon roll which I’ve never had anywhere else before. So tasty! My family and I are already trying to figure out how We can schedule the rest of the trip so we can make a return visit before we leave. So why didn’t I give them a full 5 stars? There were some minor issues with the service, which I think were just because it was a busy night but still annoying nonetheless: — Food — both apps and main dishes — took awhile to get. I’m used to waiting for good food but it seemed a bit longer than expected. — I had to flag down my waiter for water. He didn’t come very frequently but I know they were busy. — They seemed to be low on menus. My parents and I had to share one for a few minutes and then they were able to give us another menu once another table was done with it. Again, not a big deal and I’m pretty sure that it was because it was a busy night. We’ll just have to visit again to see if service gets better!

This little place is very close to the JW Marriott and not far from Sea World. I prefer to find places that are not chains and Sushi Kitchi did not disappoint. Service was a little slow, but the music was cool so I didn’t mind. I had miso soup and a veggie roll and I was very happy. Many fellow diners in the small restaurant, all seemed pleased.

I have to admit when we found this place on Unilocal and chose to go here to eat, we were a bit leery of the fact that it was located in a strip mall. But we are so glad we went! This place has fantastic, superb quality sushi. My husband and I are from New York City and we have access to some of the best sushi in the world but this place puts almost all the places in New York to shame! The fish was so fresh and Ive never seen such a variety of choices of rolls or menu items. I highly recommend the momotaro roll if you like it spicy. The smokiness of the escolar(which is usually such a fishy fish but not in this case; so fresh) on top of the tempura shrimp mixed with the coolness of the cucumber and the hit of habanero sauce gives it such a zingy umami taste. Besides the food, the staff was so friendly and the atmosphere was really relaxed and inviting. If you’re in the Orlando area and are looking to get away from the usual chain fare or selections, come here to get an authentic experience!

Wow very impressed at the uniqueness. Sushi kichi is located in an empty place but once inside you can feel the genuine nature of the restaurant. Tip: order the hot food, not the sushi. Hot food is way better than you think. I had the hamachi Kama, the salmon over rice with salmon roe and of course seafood mix over rice. Best part is they come with miso soup and salad. The miso soup is one of the best miso soups you can have anywhere.

I wouldn’t think a sushi restaurant next to a grocery store in a shopping mall plaza would be any good but we decided to try it anyway because we needed food before heading out to watch a cirque du soleil show in Disney Springs. The staff was very friendly and got us what we wanted. I had their special ramen of the night which was decent. Although after eating few bowls of ramen in Orlando, I like the ramen shops in Chicago more. My husband ordered a bunch of their sushi and he really like the salmon. Overall we had a good time. fast service. Parking is very easy. it’s in a mall plaza.

Was visiting Orlando for the weekend and needed a place to grab a nice, but casual dinner after wandering around Universal Studios all day. The hubby found Sushi Kichi on Unilocal and reviewers did not steer us wrong! Very clean, minimally decorated place in the middle of a strip mall 2 doors down from the Publix. The waitress was adorable and SO nice. She and the other server(a young guy) were super attentive and sweet. We ordered: Poseidon roll Vampire Hunter roll Princess Tuna roll And Sushi Kichi Ramen All were quite good, but my favorite was he Vampire Hunter. It had garlic infused olive oil drizzled over the seared tuna topping and was to die for! I ate the entire thing. The ramen was also quite good, although the broth to noodle ratio was off for me. WAY too many noodles!(Although not necessarily a bad thing). The hubby really liked all the rolls as well, but really enjoyed the smokiness of the Poseidon. Overall, charming little place and very yummy, filling meal!

I was on a business trip and staying nearby, so I gave it a try. Una don(eels) was tasty so I came back to try teriyaki salmon the next day. It looked a bit dry and I was worried, but turns out it was yummy! The texture of salmon was not dry at all, and the teriyaki sauce smells so good. A few days later, I came with my husband and this time we tried sushi, sashimi and fried pork chop. My father-in-law owned a Japanese restaurant, so my husband grew up eating Japanese food and he is quite picky. He loves the food and said that it is authentic. If you love Japanese food, this is a must-try!

Excellent place, one of the best in Orlando, great sushi rolls and ramen. I just ate the Alaskan Volcano and the momotoro roll both were excellent and spicy. Also they have a really great warm sake. The ponzu is a most for every roll. My friend had the ramen and he was speechless with the flavor. My wife had the club lobster roll which had a very unique flavor!

On a Sunday night when a majority of Japanese restaurants are closed, Sushi Kichi was open and the only option available for sushi within a 5 mile radius. I made a to-go order of agedashi tofu, royal salmon roll, and an eel fighter roll. I was disappointed to have discovered the agedashi tofu wasn’t fried. It was good, but could’ve been better(fried). The royal salmon roll seems to be a Unilocal favorite but mine just came out bland. On the other hand, the eel fighter roll was too saucy. I can’t comment on the service as I ordered takeout, but the gentleman I spoke to on the phone was well mannered. The décor inside was actually unexpected because it was more appealing than the other Japanese restaurants in the area. Unfortunately, the food did not hit home with me.

Delicious food, but maddeningly slow and unresponsive service. It’s hard to put just one rating here. For food, it’s a 5 star. For service, it’s a 1 star(the staff were friendly, but otherwise totally failing to take care of customers in a timely manner). I was really puzzled at the high ratings for the place. Look around here on Unilocal and you’ll see like three other«horribly slow service» reviews among a ton of raves. Maybe we just got unlucky? Maybe someone key was not working that day, or something was on fire in the kitchen? If the food wasn’t so darn good and the reviews backing it, we would have stormed out after the first 45 minutes of sitting at our table wondering whether they had forgotten about us. We arrived at 7:30p on a Sun and were seated almost immediately, and it took us an hour to get our first bite of food, and *90* minutes to get our main courses! Our table was dirty when we were seated, and they didn’t clear it for at least 15 minutes, which on experiencing it, is something that just doesn’t happen at normally functioning restaurants(when was the last time a restaurant had you stare at the previous party’s spilled food for 15 minutes?). We had to get our own menus, since they didn’t offer them to us. The two servers were super friendly and polite, so we tried to find reasons why something else might be going horribly wrong in the kitchen to delay things. However, simple things like asking for a glass of water or a dish to hold soy sauce for sushi would take an eternity to be serviced. Our waiter asked us if we were ready to order, and we just asked for some water because we were absolutely parched. We watched as a customer walked in the front door, stood for about 10 minutes without any staff talking with him or acknowledging his existence, then walked out. I asked our waiter what was happening to cause such slow service, and he said he didn’t have much to explain other than«bad timing» because everyone showed up at once. The restaurant was full, but that’s it. It’s called *dinnertime*. We felt like we were on the losing team of Top Chef’s restaurant wars, where the«front of house» person gets kicked off the show. That said, the food was really, really good. My sushi was generously portioned and at just the right temperature. The gyoza were crispy on the bottom and soft and juicy elsewhere. Seaweed salad was good. Curry was yums. So like I said, delicious food coupled with the slowest service I’ve ever experienced. This is based on my first and(as a result) only visit.

Had a sushi craving, so decided to try Sushi Kichi because it is close by. The atmosphere is very casual. They have regular, high top, and sushi bar seating. Service was impeccable. The entire team seems to take great pride and genuine pleasure in their restaurant. I ordered the Agedashi tofu appetizer. This is not a dish I would have considered ordering, only did so because of other Unilocalers’ reviews. I’m glad I did because it was delicious! I also had the Momotaro and Volcano rolls. Both were fantastic. The Momotaro has an habanero sauce, which definitely gives it a kick. I ordered the Volcano with a California Roll instead of spicy salmon. Yummm! I gotta say, to me sushi is all about the rice. if the rice isn’t done right, the sushi is just not worth eating. And this rice was perfect! I didn’t want to leave a single grain on the plate. To finish it off(because a meal just isn’t complete without dessert), I was excited to order the custard puff. Alas, they had run out. So I had the apple cake instead. It was served warm, accompanied by a small scoop of ice cream. Yet another pleasant surprise.
