Please don’t go. Nothing was good about it. I felt they were serving old stale food. Just reheating and serving it

I was in Orlando on a vacation. There couldn’t be a worst end to it. Eating at this restaurant played a complete spoilsport. Except for the food, they had nice music playing. THEWORSTPAKISTANIRESTAURANT I ATEIN, TILLDATE. The Tikka they served in the Buffet was«Half Cooked» which arrived almost at the end, making it even worse. The«Gulab Jamun» they served was like chewing a Gum. My suggestion — THANKYOU. NEVERVISITAGAIN.

Coming from New York to Orlando for spring break, i was missing some desi food so when i found this restaurant i was soo excited and lets just say this place is a big NO! first off, this place does not follow their business hours, or at least the day i decided to go give it a try. We tried going there for lunch, but apparently they weren’t going to open up until 5pm that day. so we decided to come back for dinner and when we walked in it was a bad vibe right off the bat. We were greeted and seated by the owner himself which was nice. however, the restaurant had very poor and tacky decorations, the utensils and glasses were very dirty, and there was a clothing store on one side of the restaurant and the owner’s person living space on the other. my family and i walked in about 7pm and the restaurant was still setting up which was odd to me. the menus were nothing but a piece of printed paper which was very unprofessional to me. i dont know what the rule is in Florida for restaurant, but in NYC, restaurants are required to provide their customers pitchers of water with no charge. Ok, if you’re going to charge me, let me order the water on my free will rather than bringing multiple bottles of water to my table without me asking for it and charging each bottle afterwards. even if you dont drink all the bottles, they still charge you for the unopened ones which is ridiculous. the food was very over priced and for that price, the portions were very small and not worth it at all. $ 12 for just ONE small kabab. really? and that was the cheapest thing on the menu that seemed appetizing. even the indo-pak restaurants near the touristy areas dont charge that much. also, while dining, the owner’s son was running around everywhere, creating much noise, bothering other customers, which made the experience even worse. overall, this place was a total rip off and totally unprofessional. i recommend for you to save your money and dine at a indo-pak restaurant nearby the parks and hotels because this place was not worth it at all.

WORSTSERVICE ever, been waiting more than 1hr for nan while the food was getting colder and colder. Really had high hopes for this place per reviews on and Unilocal. They were super slow on service just overall horrible service. Would not recommend for any tourist to come to this place? But would say its Zabiah food confirmed from the owner. Really want the owner to make it better extremely disappointed

I live in jersey, but was down here on vacation and Unilocaled a close by Pakistani restaurant. My entire family and I were very pleased with the service and food. The owner was very friendly and accommodating, as we needed to catch a cruise so he rushed to get our order out on time. The food was fresh and extremely flavorful! Chicken korma, biryani, and tandoori chicken were amazing. But my favorite thing was the naan! I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone craving a homey Pakistani meal!

A tourist trap far away from touristy spot. On our recent trip to Orlando, we decided to give this restaurant a try since it was one of the few Indian restaurants that served Halal meat. We took a break from the parks and made a long trip to this restaurant for lunch only to find out that the restaurant wouldn’t open until 5PM, at least for that day, contrary to their advertised business hours. So, we went back for dinner and it definitely wasn’t a good decision on my part. First impression, this is not your ordinary restaurant: tacky décor, poor set-up, clothing store on one side, and the owner’s personal living space on the other. However, none of these would’ve bothered me if at least the quality and the price of the food equated the expectation of such a restaurant. For example, $ 11.99 for just plain Shish Kabab is a stretch even for a decent Indian/Pakistani restaurant closer to the attractions. Maybe I am just spoiled, because in New York, any hole-in-the-wall Indo-Pak restaurant would charge no more than $ 5 for them. Overall, for the price, food, and service, I would stick to some of the other Indo-Pak restaurants on International Drive, which are closer to the attractions and hotels.

I was in Orlando on vacation this past week and craving desi food. Being from Boston I didn’t really know of any halaal restaurants around so obviously I checked Unilocal & and came across Lahore Grill. It was nearing their closing time so I called wanting to know what time their kitchen would be open till. My call was answered very warmly and I was told to come on down and that they’d take care of me. From the moment I walked through the door till the moment my family and I departed, we were given exceptional service. I «LOVE» dining out and my friends know me to be a very fair critique of food, service, ambience etc. In a nutshell, I’ve rarely had such delicious desi food in the US. If you’re in Orlando, this place is a must!!! Details: I walked into the restaurant, white lace adorns everything. The décor sets a tone and you can tell you’re in for a good time. My family and I were greeted personally by the owner. He is SO charismatic. Now this was what one would call service with a smile. We knew a couple of the things we wanted to order, the rest he made recommendations for and boy were his recommendations amazing!(DEFINITELYTRYTHETANDOORICHARGAH) For the most part I think we all love our mother’s cooking; well certain dishes at this place certainly rivaled those made in our own homes… I can’t emphasize this enough: SOGOOD! If you’re picky like me, you care about utensils, glass/tableware in addition to the quality of the food. Lahore Grill does not disappoint. All their cutlery is super-chic. I was wicked pleased. Aside from the food delighting our taste buds, we were absolutely amazed by the quick service. We walked in here starving and got our appetizers almost instantly followed by our main course selections. All of the food was freshly made, piping hot, extremely well-done, artfully presented and scrumptious. Loved the chai as well! We ended up taking a bunch of items to-go as well. I fully recommend this restaurant.

Okay so I don’t even know where to start with this. Décor/furnishing — It was pretty bad. I normally don’t care for décor but it was just noticeably bad. It was like walking in a garage. Food/Pricing — I did the buffet. There were like 6 different main items to choose from. Very limited. Especially for the already more than usual price for buffets. To top it all off, rice and bread costed extra. What kind of buffet actually does that? Quality of food/service– All of the items were cold. The chicken was undercooked. Everything was overly spicy. You could tell some of the food items weren’t fresh. Nothing was labelled. Oh the best part was that it took 20 minutes after sitting down to get water. The wait was after asking too. They really need to understand the value of serving drinks if they are going to have a restaurant in America. They have no waiters or host. Just the owner and his uncontrollable son. The owners son — Alright I don’t mind kids. I do enjoy their company. But there is something seriously wrong with the owner if he allows his son to just run around screaming. Not only was he a nuisance with noise, but he would often just leave his fathers cell phone at our table. Sit at our seats and even steal seats whenever someone in my party got up. Extremely distracting. I saw a review on here where the owner stated that in defense that ‘people don’t understand what a family business mean’. The owner is clearly confused to what a family business means. A family business doesn’t mean have your family run around and scream and disturb your customers. A family business means great service, great prices, fresh and high quality food. So the owner needs to get over himself and start learning what customer service is. So yes, I don’t plan on going back there again nor will I recommend this place to anyone.

Went to lunch with a groupon we got. It was for the buffet which isn’t open on the weekend. We were really disappointed but the owner was friendly and our food was very tasty! We order the chicken biriani and chicken korma and naan. Both very good and service was kind. When we talked to the owner about putting out another groupon he said he has too many negative reviews. When asked what for, he said his son! Many of the comments on Unilocal talk about a small boy running around making noise during their dining experience. We had notice the small boy as well. He did not disturb us. He didn’t apologize for his son just said that many people don’t understand what a family business means. I hope people realize that their words have effected this man’s livelihood. He is just trying to support his family. So remember it’s an actual person you are reviewing on here not an object. Plus almost 100% of you said the food was outstanding! Why give a lower rating because a man has to bring his son to his job each day! We took 5 minutes to talk to him and got our info straight before we cast judgment! This is what a family business is!

In my opinion, this is a great place to order food to go from, but not a great place to dine in. I dined in once and found it to be a semi-awkward experience. We were the only people in the restaurant. The owner was very friendly in taking our order, but hovered a bit much for my liking. The child mentioned in other reviews was there and did make loud noises several times. I was hoping to try the buffet, but it was not open at the time we were there. When I asked, the owner wasn’t very clear on exactly when it is open. I feel those hours should be posted. On the positive side, the food it very good. We’ve tried the butter chicken, the naan, chicken biryani, and some of the kebab style chicken and found it all quite good. The naan is amazing! Our take out experience was great. The food was ready when promised and all orders were correct. In conclusion, try this place and see what you think. It’s worth the experience, but for my future orders I will stick to takeout.

We went for the buffet on a Sunday evening. The owner stated that they don’t do the buffet on Sundays. That is not what is advertised. He stated we could order off the menu. There were absolutely no other customers in the restaurant.(There was the 3 year old child that is mentioned in other reviews.) We decided to go else where and had a wonderful meal.

I went there recently twice for the buffet and dinner. First time was with a groupon. Overall this place should not expect returning customers. I’m going to force myself to keep an open mind since I am Pakistani. Allow me first hit a few points to review before considering if a restaurant is good.(1) Food/Taste — Food is authentic Pakistani food and no indian/pakistani place can provide the same selection and authenticity. BUT the food quality is just not good because both time’s I’ve gone there we never felt good afterwards. Both parties I went with became sick and let just say the burning feel was not good. Obviously freshness of the food is in question at this point.(2) — Service — Service is good but the people serving is the owner. It like a personal touch of a owner asking if the food is good and if the service was okay, but I don’t want you serving the food. Plus, if I want to pay with credit card, don’t keep asking me to pay with cash. Your bottom line is your bottom line, not mine.(3) Décor — The setup of the restaurant is horrible and is somewhere I would NEVEREVER bring a co-worker or a date for my wife and I. They have a very weird arrangement of curtains, random furniture pieces placed, and the color/layout is just horrible. It’s a hole in the wall basically.(4) Sleeping at work(I can’t believe I have to write this as a point) — First time I went there, the owner was on a couch with his head back, mouth open, snoring and having a nap. Why would you have a home sofa right at the front entrance and your sleeping on it? Second time I went there — I think it was his son sleeping right in front of the kitchen and buffet area on some bench they had placed. This kid was not 5 but maybe 7 – 10 years old. I’ve also heard the baby crying before(5) Cost — The cost is decent but I think they need to work on their pricing of dishes that come with naan and with rice. Pakistani Chicken Karhai ALWAYS comes with naan. I don’t care about the standards of Orlando. If you are a authentic Pakistani restaurant then you should always provide the naan free with the dish because you are not suppose to have rice with that dish. If you are coming for dinner, then you should expect a dinner portion. All of the members in my party that paid the premium dinner prices barely had any meat in them.(6) Bathroom/Silverware/Napkins — Bathroom soap was watered down completely(I’ve seen a lot of indian restaurants do this, so I guest this is expected?). Napkin provided for dinner — These were the towels from the bathroom. Is that even legal? Those are sharp and harsh when your hands are not wet. That can lead to cuts and rashed when rubbed dry on your skin. Eating utensils were just missing and we had to ask for them 3 times just to get them.(7) Payment Method — If I want to pay with credit card or cash, that is my choice. Do not keep forcing me and my group to pay with cash. The owner did this twice and said to us «you can pay him later, and let your other friend pay with cash»? What heck are you asking me, seriously? I would like to pay for my own food please. And then on top of that you are asking me for tip? Why should I pay the owner a tip if you are serving? I’m already paying you?

There were a couple things I liked about this place and a couple things I did not. The family that owns the place are very nice. The food is good, very spicy, I was surprised about that, but delicious We were sat, and we both went up separately to get our food, no one came to give us drinks. My husband had to actually go find someone and ask for waters There wasn’t much food selection on the buffet. And what was there a lot of times was cold or you scraped the bottom for the burnt pieces. Hardly anything was refilled while we were there. Also nothing was labeled, I had no idea what I was eating They have 2 halves of the restaurant. The side that’s nice and finished, and the other side that’s, well, not. It’s a small place, so all the tables were taken, so we were sat on the other side. There were crumbs on the floor, a dirty coffee cup on another table, holes still in the wall, dirty tables, you get the picture. I would have rather waited a few minutes and sat on the finished side. There was also a child running around. And yes, I do mean running. Climbing all over the booths, screaming when he wanted something. I know it’s a family owned business, but that just wasn’t pleasant When we left, other tables hadn’t been cleaned, trash and crumbs on the floor. They really need to hire at least one wait staff person to tend to people and clean up after them, so more attention can be paid to restocking of the food at the buffet

I couple of days ago my husband and I had the opportunity to visit Lahore Grill, a Pakistani restaurant in Orlando. We first discovered this place through Groupon and since we are both avid foodies, who absolutely love exploring new places, we decided to give it a try. We arrived at Lehore Grill on a Monday evening around 8:30PM. At a first glance we felt a bit out of place since the restaurant’s only patrons were all Pakistani people, dressed in their traditional garbs, and for a moment we forgot we were in Orlando. However, as it is well know, when you enter an restaurant which is predominantly attended by the native people, it is a tremendous compliment and a testament to the authenticity and quality of the food. We were greeted by the owner who handed us his freshly printed menus. Since the restaurant had only recently opened, they have yet to print permanent hard copies of their menus. Once we were seated, the owner questioned us if we ever had any Pakestani food before, and when we answered«no», he proceeded to carefully explain the menu, and provide very helpful suggestions. We selected two chicken entrees — a Seekh chicken kabob, and a chicken curry dish prepared with all the traditional spices. As a side, we elected to go with a spiced up potato dish, and Naan bread. Then we waited, and waited, until after 30 minutes we began to worry whether our food was going to arrive before midnight, and whether it was another Groupon flop. However, just as we were going to ask the owner when the food was going to arrive, the waiter came out with all our dishes. Needless to say, after a 30 minute wait we were hungry, and anxious to get started! Upon taking the first bite of all the three dishes and the bread, we were both speechless! The aroma, and the rich fusion of flavors and spices were as good as it gets!!! The bread was the best Naan bread we had ever tasted over the years in any of the Indian or Nepalese restaurants we had frequently visited throughout the US! The magical feast of the rich and savory mix of their traditional spices was a true royal celebration to our discriminatory palates! Furthermore, our surprise experience at this Festival of Haute Gastronomy was even further surpassed when we found out that all the kitchen’s ingredients were Kosher, Halal, and Organic! The chicken kabobs were made out of Organic ground chicken breast infused with fresh organic herbs and traditional spices which come directly from Pakistan. Both the texture and the medley of flavors were 10 our of 10! The decadent Naan bread was soft, fluffy and steaming hot, made fresh and delivered fresh out of the clay oven. The Curry Chicken was moist, tender and just like the perfectly cooked potatoes, spiced to perfection! The atmosphere at this spacious, newly opened restaurant, was clean, simple and unassuming, family oriented, with a large screen television which was featuring Pakistani programs. The restaurant is owned by a young couple, a husband and wife, who is also the chef at this fabulously divine kitchen. All this culinary extravaganza and excellence, cost less than $ 35 for the two of us, not including drinks and gratuities! I would strongly recommend Lahore Grill to everyone who visits Orlando and is a true gourmand of authentic ethnic foods! For us, this extraordinary and experience simply could not have been any better, and surpassed all our expectations! We are looking forward to our next visit at our favorite Pakistani restaurant! However, I have a couple of recommendations for the American patrons: 1. Since everything, including bread is made from scratch from the moment you order, please be patient, and allow yourself about 30 minutes of wait time, before any of the foods arrive to your table. 2. Please consult the owner, who’s superior knowledge of their cuisine, and recommendations, are extremely helpful! 3. Please be aware that Pakistani food tends to be somewhat salty and spicy for the average American palate. I strongly recommend that you request your food to be prepared with just a tad of salt(since you can always add more), and according to your individual level of spice/heat tolerance. I hope you all enjoy this newly found treasure as much as we did! Bön Appetite!

I went for dinner off the menu, not for the buffet. I think they may have just moved from another location, so that may explain some of the negatives I experienced, but still… 1. Owners’ crying and screaming child in the dining room. Not once or twice, but at least 10 times in a span of about 45 minutes this child cried or screamed loudly. This was very annoying. Yet the owner/father would not take the child to the back out of earshot of customers. This had a very real negative impact on my experience. 2. Inside décor. I don’t need fancy schmantzy, but this place honestly looked like someone’s garage hastily turned into an ad hoc diner. 3. Food way too spicy. They really should have asked about preferred level of spice(like other Indian restaurants do), but they did not, and instead apparently defaulted to high spice. 4. Prices. Given all of the above you would expect the place to be at a lower pricing level than other more typical Indian restaurants, but it was not. It was maybe 10% cheaper than I have experienced elsewhere but not the 50% cheaper that it is for example at iSpice in Altamonte Mall, a place that I think is in some ways at the same level as this place. The owner couple seemed nice, but b/c of the above, I won’t be going back.

Last night we took advantage of a groupon offer and drove down to Sand Lake Rd to try the buffet here. When we arrived at 7pm they were not set up yet so we walked around the plaza a bit to kill time. When we returned the buffet was set and the space had filled up with patrons. I have to say that we thoroughly enjoyed everything we sampled. The food was fresh and flavorful and there was a nice variety of things to try. My favorite was the butter chicken and the potatoes and the spinach with lentils were also really tasty. The naan was great with a slight crispy char in places that comes from being cooked in a hot clay oven. For dessert they put out the Moghul version of bread pudding. Marty said he could have eaten the whole pan of that! I didn’t see the regular menu but based on the buffet food I look forward to trying something from the full dinner menu in the future. I hate the flimsy plastic backyard picnic style tablecloths they use. I’m sure they make it easier to keep things clean but I am just not a fan. It also would be nice if they labeled the buffet options. I admittedly have trouble remembering every dish when the names are unfamiliar and told to me quickly by a person behind the line. Part of the fun of eating different ethnic cuisines is being able to learn about the food and to discover new favorites. But it is less so when you don’t don’t know what something is called the next time you want to order it. The owners were very nice and enthusiastic about their food — genuinely concerned that we enjoyed our experience. I’m not sure how long they have been open but it does have the feel of a place that is still trying to get it’s bearings. The owner said that they will be moving the buffet to an adjoining space soon so I guess they are expanding. We particularly appreciated the fact that they did not react negatively when we offered up our Groupon voucher. To the contrary we were actually encouraged to buy another while we still could. That was a really refreshing response. So often restaurants voluntarily participate in these promotions yet treat customers who take advantage of them like pariahs. A dichotomy I’ve never understood. So we will definitely take them up on that offer. But even without a deal, we will return.

Pakistani Buffet! Ok, well the buffet part won’t be up until later this week, but it has promise. I know little about Pakistani food but I know what I like. This hit the spot. Flavorful currys and fresh bread! We talked with the owners for a bit and the meals are prepared as is, meaning authentic. No watering down, no fusion. I usually look for a place that isn’t afraid to use some spice. The meals had some heat to them and I liked it! The service was good. They just got up and running but so far so good. I love Middle Eastern, Indian, and Mediterranean food because of their unique flavor. One thing I cannot stand is going someplace only to find out that you really do not get to experience a culture as is. I am looking forward to the buffet. Overall, delicious food and great service from friendly people. I felt like old friends stopping by to visit rather than a customer. It was nice.
