I went for happy hour after work one day, and I came away impressed. First of all, the happy hour menu was fairly extensive with a wide variety of choices. We ordered a bunch of different options so we could try them all, and I’m really glad! Can’t misses: –The seasonal mac and cheese was amazing! It came out steaming hot, complete with charred onions and crispy prosciutto. It was on the sweeter side, complete with gala apples, but it really worked well, and I came away very impressed. –The crispy yucca fries with cheese fondue was also very good. The yucca were seasoned perfectly and had a little spicy kick to them. The cheese fondue was a great pairing, a huge portion that could have done with a few more yucca fries. –The adobo pork on crispy polenta was probably my favorite of the night. It was the perfect little bit of seasoned pork on top of crispy polenta, complete with pickled onion on top to cut through the richness There weren’t too many misses that I would say to avoid. The calamari were the favorite dish of the table, but that was mainly due to a sauce that was a bit too much on the sweet side. Prices were fairly reasonable for happy hour, too, but I can imagine the standard menu getting pricey, but overall, I would definitely recommend!

So the boyfriend and I had heard rave reviews about this place for Sunday brunch so we decided to check it out. The food was really good, the experience… not so much. We tried to make a reservation on Open Table, but it said there was no availability until 3pm. I called and asked for a reservation around 11am and was told no problem. See you at 11am on Sunday. There was problem 1. Why was it so easy over the phone, but not available on Open Table? Parking was a bit of a pain, but we parked in the Plaza garage behind the restaurant. It just took us a minute to figure out how to get in this garage. We arrived at 10:55 and were literally the first people seated in the restaurant. The problem is they sat us, I kid you not, right in front of a door. They had the door locked obvi, but our table was in front of a door! We were the first ones there and you give us the worst seat in the place?! I promptly asked to move because the wind was blowing so hard that the door was shaking and it was super cold and the wind was blowing through the cracks under the door. So we were moved over and down a little bit. It was far superior to where we were, but considering the place was empty and we had reservations(we weren’t walk ins) I was very annoyed at this seating experience. It got worse too. Clearly no one wanted to sit there so they ended up moving the table, but then they unlocked one of those side doors so people went in and out the entire time and nearly froze us to death. The ladies at the next table over and the couple at the next table over both got up to lock it at various points, but then inevitably someone who was too lazy to walk to the front door would unlock it again. So, I froze for 2 hours. It sucked! The Sunday brunch comes with unlimited mimosas or sangria. I had the sangria. It was good. My bf who doesn’t love sangria the way I do said it was some of the best he’s had. I think it had oj in it, which sort of threw me. Not sure how I feel about that. He had the mimosa and what was cool was the server brought him a glass of sparkling wine and a small carafe of oj, so you could just drink the sparkling wine if you wanted to. Most of brunch is on a buffet. The buffet included cheddar eggs which were good, and flavorful. Best buffet eggs I’ve ever had. They had miso prailine bacon which I thought was good. It was sweet and sugary. The bf did not care for it. The breakfast sausage was not my style at all. It was a thick link. It looked more like a bratwurst. I prefer sausage patties. The bf raved about the breakfast sausage, so there you go. To each his own. I loved the bacon and he the sausage, but neither of us cared for the other. They also had a flank steak that was pretty flavorful and these Asian riblets that had great flavor, but were a bit try. They had fried rice to go with the Asian riblets, but it too was a bit try and had way too many peas for my taste. The chocolate chip pancakes with vanilla butter and the piña colada French toast were awesome. That French toast was definitely a stand out. They also had sweets. The carrot cake was pretty decent which means a lot coming from me as I am a Publix carrot cake devotee. They also had macaroons which I am a total sucker for. The food highlight was the tacos. Our server brought out slips where you picked what ingrediants you wanted in your taco and they made them fresh for you. The tacos were fresh and outstanding. The pork was the best one IMHO. It was super flavorful. The beef was good. The chicken wasn’t bad, but wasn’t as special as the other two. The problem was that we had a difficult time finding our server to give us the taco slips. Our server was nice. He had a great attitude and was pretty good with keeping our drinks filled, but whenever we wanted something like taco slips, new plates, the check, he was nowhere to be found. The waitress in the next station over had 4 tables come and go while we were sitting there. We finally got our check and on our way out attempted to get our parking validated(as we were told they would do this on our way out). We were then informed that they only validate for up to 90 minutes. WTH?! So let me get this straight. First you tell me that brunch tables are only good for 2 hours(both on the phone and when we sat down). Next you tell me that you will validate parking as we leave. Then our waiter is nowhere to be found so we are waiting, waiting, waiting on the check, and when we try to leave 1 hour and 48 minutes after arrival you tell us, «Oops no, you stayed too long. We can’t validate.» No one told us then until the end. So instead of being $ 0 for 90 minutes we were charged $ 10 for 108 minutes. 18 minutes(15 of which we waiting for the check) costs us $ 10. My bf did not seem nearly as frustrated about this as I was, but to me it was just bad service.

This sat in my drafts for WAY too long. While in Orlando for a work conference our boss chose Kasa as one of our team dinners. The beauty of working for Unilocal is that work conferences are usually STACKED with good eats. We ordered a ton of things and shared, but the ones that really stood out: Kasa Corn — Wowzers. This was amazing. Roasted corn on the cob, taken to 11 with the seasoning. Tuna & Tostones: Damn! If my Cuban grandma ever made tuna tartar this is what it would look like. Had a nice kick and you scoop up the tuna with thin tostones! Mojo Cuban Spare Ribs: These were fantastic. I usually love my ribs slathered in sauce, but this cuban twist was awesome. There were plenty of other highlights like the apple mac and cheese and pork polenta cake(both EXCELLENT). Really, I can’t remember anything that I didn’t like. All of the plates are perfect size to share. That’s what I love about tapas style places, you get to try 4 or 5(or 8 in our case lol) things and get different flavors. The service was excellent. They handled our loud, excited group perfectly. It’s pretty funny to see an entire table pull out their phones at the same time whenever a new plate arrives. Then proceed to spin and turn the plate every-which way to get the perfect angles haha.

Came to eat here with a party of 20+ on a Saturday night. With a reservation it still took around 20 minutes to get our table after our entire party had arrived. We waited by the bar area which had TVs and was fully stocked with alcohol so no one complained. The hostess and waitress we had were polite and efficient. We sat near the kitchen and you can see the food being made fresh which is nice. The décor inside is hip and trendy. They also have large circular booths. Here’s what I had to eat: Pad Thai Calamari with pickled cucumbers, carrots, red fresno, roasted peanuts and cilantro — It was delicious! Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The sauce was tangy and sweet. The cucumbers on top gave it a nice kick. Pan Seared Gyoza — flavorful and came with a tasty dipping sauce but just normal potstickers. Tuna Tostones — Spicy tuna was well mixed and eaten with the crunchy tostone chips made it very enjoyable. Also the mango relish added a sweet taste to the spice. Brussels N’ Bacon — really didn’t like this one. It was so bitter and overcooked. Adobo Pork & Crispy Polenta Cake — I loved this! A mouthful of soft flavored pork on top a crispy tater tot base. It was a bit salty but so delicious with the pickled re onions. Mojo Cuban Spare Ribs — for sure fall off the bone and very well marinated with a burst of flavor. I tried my friend’s Sweet Potato tapa and it was very weird. Came in a ball and was sitting in a broth with bok choy. Not my favorite but it was definitely unique. Didn’t have room for desert but the panna cotta sounded very good! Overall good place to try a lot of tapas with a big group but beware the portions are small so you won’t get full off of just a few options.

I dined here with reservations for our large party on a Saturday night. There was an event going on downtown which caused it to be unusually busy– even with a reservation it took 45 minutes to get our group seated. The hostesses did keep in constant communication with me regarding the seating, which was nice. I ordered the Adobo Pork & Crispy Polenta Cake and the Drunken Kobe Brisket(sliders). The adobo was well-seasoned but the polenta cakes were way too salty. The sliders were tasty but I didn’t care for the side of potato chips(somewhat soggy). I sampled others’ food and was not impressed: the mini Kobe braised brisket was completely over cooked(what a waste of meat!), the pasta in the grouper dish was overdone, and my husband’s filet burger could have been used as a hockey puck. The portions were a bit small and I was still hungry at the end of my meal. Luckily we brought dessert for the group so there was no need for an additional food run. The service was hit or miss — our waitress was attentive and very friendly but the waiter at the other tables never checked on his group other than to drop off their dishes. We came here because there were limited options for a 20+ group in the downtown area. Maybe next time we will venture out to another area for a better option. Lastly, I will say: please go light on the salt! I woke up the next morning after dinner and couldn’t take off my wedding ring because of the swelling. And no, I am not pregnant.

I love Kasa. I’ve been many, many times since they arrived on the downtown Orlando scene a couple of years ago. It’s consistently a good time, coupling a great atmosphere with delicious food and drinks. Within recent months Kasa has introduced a daily happy hour, offering deals on both food and drink. Most places would include the least appealing dishes on such a menu, but Kasa actually offers some of their best(and a couple of my favorites). Many are appetizers, but if you’re with a large group just order a bunch and share. While the menu does change from time-to-time, a couple of my go-tos are: The EDAMAMEBRUSCHETTA(so, so good; I dream about it); the KASACORN; and the PADTHAICALAMARI. Each are consistently delicious and unique in their own way. Their full dishes are equally tasty. I’ve had the BISONROMESCOBURGER and TAMARINDGRILLEDLAMBCHOPS on separate occasions, and each was full of flavor and cooked perfectly to my liking. The dining room is open with windows surrounding the entire place, and high, high ceilings which make the places airy and sexy. The bar is a nice place to grab a couple of drinks and apps if you don’t feel like being so «formal» during your visit. I will say on my last visit here the service was very, very slow. And it was during a time when the restaurant was not busy ATALL. Not sure what was up with that as it’s not the norm, but I thought it was worth mentioning. Kasa is a place I highly recommend, and it a great place to grab a quick bite if you’re headed to the movies or perhaps a show at one of the surrounding venues.

The staff at Kasa always strives to present their brand of tapas in a unique and exciting way by serving up small plates that have worldwide influences in a variety of ways. Inside it is very elegant and modern but casual also. Wood veneers, stone work and a multi level dining and lounge area make the location feel very open and relaxed. No matter where you sit inside or outside, you’d be hard pressed to find a better restaurant with a better view of Downtown Orlando. Now Kasa is stepping it up again and offering its diners a full time 3 course menu for $ 33.00. Spurred on by the success of Visit Orlando’s Magical Dining Month and Orlando Weekly’s Bite 30 events where local area restaurants offer guests a prix fixe menu that consists of 3 courses for $ 30.00, Kasa has decided to offer a similar menu option year round. It’s really a pretty good deal too, as just one of the entrée items featured on the 3 for $ 33.00 menu by itself is $ 26.00. Of course if you just wanted to try Kasa out and are unsure of what to order off of the tapas menu, this is also a great way to get an idea of the flavors and atmosphere here as well. Cocktails are not included in the prix fixe menu, but Kasa has a fine selection of craft cocktails and wines available to whet your palate. Our Le Melon Mule featured Grey Goose Vodka, Melon, Ginger Beer and Lime. My first course was the Pan Seared Gyoza pork potstickers with soy dipping sauce. Potstickers may be on just about everyone’s menus these days as the craze for pan Asian cuisine shows no signs of slowing down, but the ones here at Kasa are wonderful. Soft and flavorful with a delicious sauce for dipping. My guest chose the Pad Thai Calamari with pickled cucumbers, carrots, red fresno, roasted peanuts and cilantro. I’m very picky about my Calamari. I’ve had it too many times where it is overcooked and chewy, or worse yet, just not any good. Although my guest ordered this dish, we almost got into a fight scraping the bottom of the bowl for this calamari at Kasa. It was that good. Of course, if you want to add an additional Tapa off of the menu you may certainly do so. While we were awaiting our food, our server suggested a new addition to the menu, the Tempura Sweet Potato with sauteed rapini and oyster mushrooms in a soy miso broth. This tapa was pretty spectacular with a good mix of savory and a touch of sweet. For my main entrée I went with the Grilled Chimichurri Hanger Steak with fingerling potatoes, shiitake mushrooms, sugar snap peas peas, red onions in a roasted garlic demi glaze. This is a full size dinner portion of steak, not just a few slices for a Tapas dish. The steak was cooked medium and had excellent flavors. When you consider that this entrée lists on the menu for $ 26.00 alone, you soon realize what a great deal you are getting on the prix fixe menu. The Pan Seared Chicken was also another dish my guest and I were almost fighting over. The chicken is bone in and pan seared in a flavorful pan jus that works well with the herbed spatzle and oyster mushrooms. I chose the Lemon Mousse with seasonal berries, sweet crumble and poppy seed tuile for my dessert. This was a very refreshing and light way to end my meal.

Excellent brunch! On Sundays they offer $ 32 brunch which includes bottomless mimosas, sangria and food. They also have $ 2 bloody mary’s. 1. Get a reservation! Place gets booked up and packed. You can specify indoor or outdoor seating. We were seated outside which was pretty nice because it was quieter. Mimosas: The server was attentive with refilling our glasses with champagne when they got low. They offer cranberry, orange, and pineapple mix-ins. Sangria: They offer red and white. Giant glasses! The one thing we didn’t like was our server said he would bring out a rum shot to add to our sangria which he highly recommended, but never said he would charge us $ 7 extra for it. Don’t be fooled! Food: They had all kinds of delicious stuff! My favorites were: Bacon mac and cheese Bacon 5 spice french toast They also had an awesome dessert bar of little cakes and macaroons. This is a great place for a girls’ day out, a date day, or whatever! I will be returning.

I can write several reviews for Kasa. I’ve dined with them for brunch, lunch, dinner, and Unwine’d Wednesday, and was happy with every single experience. So here’s a little bit of a breakdown on each. BRUNCH: Seriously, add this one to your Sunday Brunch bucket list. Kasa puts together a solid spread. $ 32 bottomless everything. A few girlfriends and I brunched at Kasa just yesterday and our experience was great! The staff is very attentive. Our waiter made sure our glasses of mimosa and sangria never ran empty. Speaking of mimosas, they have several different types to choose from. We were particularly fond of the mango mimosa. The sangria was also quite good. Our server recommended a shot of mango Bacardi on top, which was a nice addition. The food was good too! A buffet set up with everything from flank steak to spiced french toast. I think my favorite was the bacon mac & cheese with mushrooms. Seriously could not get enough! They also had a nice selection of macarons and cute little cakes which were delish! One of my new favorite brunch spots in O-Town. If you are planning to brunch with Kasa, I HIGHLY recommend you make a reservation. They book up. LUNCH/DINNER: The lunch and dinner situation is somewhat similar aside from a more casual ambiance during the lunch hour. Kasa has a nice selection of tapas which are delicious and perfect for sharing. I like to come with friends, order a few dishes and share. Some of my personal favorites: Edamame Bruschetta, Bahamian Conch Ceviche, and the Azul Spring Rolls. You also NEED to try the Kasa Corn. Seasoned corn on the cobb. So good! Kasa is a nice go-to restaurant for me when I’m attending a show at the Dr. Phillips Center. I can always count on the food to be good and for it to be served in a timely manner so I can make it to the show on time. Plus it’s just a few blocks away from the venue. UNWINE’D WEDNESDAY: These Wednesday night wine events seem to be popping up all over downtown lately. And I’m OK with that. :) I’ve tried a few of them and I think Kasa has one of the better ones. Unlimited wine, champagne, and beer, plus unlimited appetizers from 5:00 — 9:00PM. And the apps are quite good. During this event, the restaurant somewhat sprawls out into the plaza in front of the movie theater and they have a DJ set up with music. A really fun time on a hump day. I particularly recommend it for a GNO! In summary, pretty much every offering Kasa has is good!

Stumbled upon Kasa while walking around Downtown Orlando during a work trip, and my on my we were lucky to get there during the happy hour window. The happy hour menu had everything we could want! My coworker and I shared the following: –Gyoza –Edamame Bruschetta –Pad Thai Calamari –Kobe Beef sliders –La Plancha Shrimp –Deconstructed apple pie dessert –Sangria –Kona draft beer All of what we ordered besides the shrimp and the apple pie was on the happy hour menu which allowed us to save a bit of cash, which was nice. The Gyoza and the sliders were AMAZING. I think my least favorite would be the bruschetta, but it was not bad by any means. But the BEST was by far the apple pie, and the sea salt caramel ice cream it came with. It is for sure big enough to share but the ice cream was magnificent. This dessert was a great concept for a tapas style restaurant. I would go back to this place simply for the apple pie!

KASA Sunday Brunch was something I kept hearing about. With the bottomless mimosas and sangria, it sounded like the perfect Sunday afternoon. I made a reservation and was super excited to go. The interior of KASA was very nice. It made me feel like I was in a hotel lobby with the open ceilings and wooden details. It had a chic, modern feel. There was plenty of food. Their dishes had an Asian flair, which was interesting to see. There was miso glazed bacon, coconut infused shellfish, prime rib, and more. The food was pretty good, not exactly out of this world, but it was delightful. I enjoyed the brunch buffet experience. It was fun to sip on your drink, grab food, talk some more, and continue in that cycle. The waiter somehow magically refilled our glasses as soon as our glasses were not full. Overall, my experience at KASA was okay. It was nothing spectacular. The food and drinks were good, but I really did not like the atmosphere that much. The loud EDM at noon, really did not cater to my senses, however the thing that bothered me the most was our service. Our waiter was not the best. He kept giving me pretentious looks and was not very helpful(besides magically refilling glasses every second.) He was not very attentive and did not make us feel welcomed. It was a fun experience overall, but I probably would not come back for brunch here again. It was a bit pricey and did not live up to the hype.

We’ve been on the lookout for a new brunch spot and Kasa was the lucky straw drawn on Sunday. For $ 30, you can eat from the buffet, in addition to unlimited mimosas and sangria. It’s not the cheapest brunch but if you’re really hungry, it’s worth it. We arrived for brunch a few minutes after 11 and sat at the bar. A table ended up being available so we moved the party there. The hostess explained that tables can only be occupied for up to two hours, so we had to check out by 1, but could move to the bar or an outside table and continue eating and drinking. I chose not to drink so I can’t comment on the sangrias or mimosas, but the waiter kept dropping off entire bottles of champagne for my wife and her friend, so rest assured that they will hook you up. The buffet didn’t have the variety of what you’d see at a chain restaurant but most of what I tried was delicious. The praline bacon was absolutely top notch; I pigged out on it. Be warned, though: if you like your bacon very crunchy, your mileage may vary. The dijon steak container had pieces cooked to a variety of temperatures, so I was able to find a few rarer pieces in the pile. I was able to cut through my pieces like butter and the sauce was on point. The honey Sriracha wings were as good as the bacon, if not better; very balanced sweet and spicy flavor. The sausage and cheddar eggs were decent, but nothing extraordinary. The pancakes and french toast, on the other hand, were disappointing; almost no flavor at all. There were a few other items that I didn’t check out, including mussels, noodles, potatoes, and a pastry bar. The one major downside to the morning was that I didn’t get a chance to try the taco bar. Our waiter dropped off a small printout with a list of items to check off, indicating what I wanted on the tacos. After finishing off my first buffet plate, I filled out my order form and brought it to the taco chef, who informed me that he was not allowed to accept checklists from diners; only waiters can give it to them. So I sat back down and waited. And waited. And waited. About 15 minutes went by before I gave up and hit the buffet again. The crazy thing about this is that the taco chef wasn’t receiving a lot of orders; he looked like he was standing around, waiting for some action. Our waiter was great in every other regard, except for picking up the checklist. Our brunch at Kasa was great overall and I’ll definitely be going back in the future.

I’ve had several work lunches/dinners here and am also a fan of the brunch. The restaurant itself is open, bright and modern with a bar tucked away on the south side, as well as some outdoor seating. The food is always solid. On our most recent visit, they had no trouble seating eight of us for brunch, which is a $ 30 unlimited buffet with sangria and mimosas. The food selection is not huge but there was a good assortment of hearty selections that included traditional items like eggs, bacon and french toast, as well as biscuits and gravy and a seafood macaroni and cheese with a ton of oysters(latter two were my favorite), a wide selection of small desserts like petit fours and macarons, and a build-your-own(of sorts) taco bar — you fill out a little card with your taco choices and then it’s delivered to your table. The tacos were really good, especially the kimchi and pork one I ordered.

I came here with my boyfriend on a whim because everything in Orlando closes at 9 We were starved and really wanted to enjoy a meal. Luckily their kitchen didn’t close until 11pm. We were hesitant but upon walking in saw that the restaurant had a modern/lounge feel to it. Restaurant is tapa style. Lots of awesome choices and the tvs around the bar displayed different pics of food options which was helpful. We ordered the azul ro, yuca fondue cheese dip, quinoa Greek salad, Kobe brisket, and chocolate cake. Everything was GF. Server was helpful with suggestions. Would recommend for someone searching for a dressy casual, modern ambience.

This review applies only to the unwine’d Wednesday event that happens every Wednesday night from 5 – 9 pm. It is $ 15 for all you can drink red, white, champagne and sangria. It is a great deal of you can handle more than one glass(or can’t but don’t care anyways). I knew going in that I was only going to have one glass(someone had to be the DD in our group) so I definitely did not get my money’s worth. I got the sangria with a splash of champagne to finish it off. It was sweet and crisp. I do not like strong drinks so this was perfect for me. They did have a few appetizers: various flavors of mac’n’cheese, chicken wings, salsa bean dip, chips, mini empanadas, fruit, and macarons. They were not all out at once so at several points in the night you had to wait for replacement dishes to be brought out. A suggestion would be to have two food stations to ease the line and provide more options. There were three alcohol stations but only one food station. The event is definitely a place to see and be seen. An eclectic mix of Orlandoans came tonight at least and provided interesting people watching. The live DJ knew what she was doing and had smooth transitions between songs both classics and newer hits. I would also get there early as it fills up quickly. Again, this only pertains to unwine’d Wednesday since I have not eaten off of the menu. If you want more than one drink the it is actually a great deal. If not then like me you’ll end up spending $ 15 on one glass of sangria and a few median appetizers and realize you would be served better elsewhere.

I had my birthday dinner at Kasa and everyone loved it! We went for the happy hour and ordered a bunch of appetizers. I didn’t have one thing I didn’t like! We ordered the fingerling potatoes first and they were crispy and delicious and came with a tasty miso lime aioli. The pad Thai calamari was like no other calamari I’ve had before. It had such a unique flavor. The Brussels N Bacon were another favorite of mine. The happy hour drinks were poured strong, which isn’t always the case for happy hours! It’s a great place for large groups with plenty of big tables, but it’s also cozy enough for a date night! I will definitely be back! I wanna check out their wine Wednesday’s! :)

Came here with my husband and father for dinner before a movie. The location and interior are beautiful, but also a little cold. Clean lines and muted tones abound while you contemplate how many tapas plates you want. So many tasty looking options! A great place if you want to share with others to try new dishes. All around the table our food was alright but nothing that had us begging to come back. Beers, cocktails, and sangria at our table were all served cold which is not always a guarantee at nearby establishments. I would come back again for a small bite or date night if I was downtown but may not go out of my way to eat at Kasa. Nothing was terrible or great. A very meh sort of dining experience this go round but I hope to be back and give it another go.

Chad and I spent some time downtown exploring some of the area restaurants thanks to the citywide Bite30 promotion in June. One of the participating restaurants of Bite30 was Kasa Restaurant and Bar. Like most of the eateries in downtown Orlando, we would most likely never have found this spot if not for Bite30, however, I am glad that we did. In our minds, the restaurants in downtown are reserved for office workers and are primarily open for lunch Monday thru Friday. However, our thinking has changed since we have spent a little time downtown. There are some real great places to eat! Kasa does have odd hours compared to other restaurants not in the downtown area. No dinner on Mondays, no lunch on Saturdays, brunch on Sundays and late nights with no defined closing time Wednesday thru Saturday. The restaurant itself is on Orange Avenue, the main thoroughfare of downtown. The space curves along the block with huge windows, leaving the dining room bright and airy but skinny if that makes sense. First up we ordered the Yuca fries with queso fresco and garlic ketchup. We each had our own order but we easily could have shared. Big thick cut of the Yuca vegetable, similar to a potato but slightly more bitter. Yuca to me has always been primarily tasteless of nature so the fresco and ketchup were needed for flavor. They were almost so thick and hearty that as an appetizer I considered them to be quite filling. Normally the Yuca fries are served as a side but for the Bite30 menu they were offered as an appetizer. Chad enjoyed the Citrus Salmon and Orzo Pasta as his lunch entrée. Though it was small in size, it was very filling for him. The salmon was perfectly prepared, very moist and flaky. I went with the Crabcake BLT for my meal, minus the bacon. The sandwich was light and airy compared to most crabcakes that tend to be dense and heavy. That does not mean that it was lacking in «crabbiness” — quite the opposite. The crabcake has a wonderful flavor with a thin but crispy coat of breading. Garnished with a lettuce and tomato, it was perfect for lunch. My BLT was served with a salad as well– much better than the Yuca fries. You can just never go wrong with a salad sometimes. Kasa is a great spot for lunch. It was quite busy and we were forewarned that the service may be a little slower until the kitchen can catch up with the lunch rush. However, we experienced no delays and were served promptly. Just be sure to check the website for their hours before making a special trip there.

I like Kasa. I know the reviews are mixed but so far I’ve only had good experiences here. First we came for Bite 30 — cheers to them for having huge portions — and the meal was delicious. I got saffron Caesar, salmon, and salted caramel gelato and BF got potstickers, Kobe brisket, and chocolate cake. All were really satisfying. We came back for brunch — I made reservations a month out — and it was also great. Nothing was especially a standout for me but it was all tasty. I’d go again but will state that the food selection is somewhat limited for $ 30 but I guess the unlimited mimosas and sangria made up for it. Then we did Magical Dining. I made up my own menu — shishito peppers, salmon, and Pana cotta and the BF got potstickers, flank steak, and chocolate cake. Again, Kasa gave us a delicious meal. We dined with a group and also got to try the calamari(yum!), corn(double yum!), tuna(great), and BF tried the polenta pork thing. I haven’t yet had a bad experience and will definitely return. I would likely come for happy hour or another fixed price menu deal because their menu isn’t cheap.

Walking in I was pleasantly surprised at the bright open feel of the restaurant. We were sat next to the raw bar so we could view the open kitchen as we dined. We were visiting to take part in the Magical Dining but we also decided to sample a few of the happy hour offerings as well. We had the Shishito Peppers, Pad Thai Calamari, Kasa Corn and Yucca and Fondue. All of which were recommended by our Server Jennifer. Each of the appetizers were brought out one after another giving us ample time to sample and in between without overloading our palettes. All were delicious but my favorite by far was probably the Shishito Peppers. The subtlety of the miso soy glaze accompanied by the herb bread crumbs and sesame seeds was just a fantastic starter to the meal and something I will crave again. For our entrees I choose the Grouper Puttanesca and my friend chose the Fire Roasted Zucchini. While I enjoyed the fish, I found the combination of Fish with pasta a strange combination. I almost would have preferred to have the Grouper with the lentils and Moroccan spiced tomato sauce that accompanied the Fire Roasted Zucchini. But the fish was a very nice portion, extremely moist and flakey and well seasoned. To top off our meal we each tried a different dessert. While my friend indulged in the Decadent Chocolate Cake, I kept it light with the Matcha Green Tea Panna Cotta. The bowl was practically licked clean. This will definitely be a place we will return to for happy hour and try some more of their amazing appetizers and some fun drinks! Great prices and a great staff!
