I didn’t really like the sub I got there. it was a Philly, just with no cheese. A bit salty and dry, even with the mayo. But my Husband and kids loved theirs. I must say they were very nice to me on my visit. There is a coffee place right to them. I ordered my family’s subs & stepped out to get a drink. They held my order for me & I ending up being longer than I thought. I was very impressed by the staff on this. Even after I apologized for being so long, they seemed unfazed. I have been a fan ever since… even though I don’t eat there. LOL. Yet, when my hungry family asks for subs, this is the place to go. They are clean, close, & friendly. They are about as fast as any sub-shop. They have a good selection. I would recommend.

Okay, so… I think my whole experience was tainted from the very beginning. I’ve never been to a Jersey Mike’s before, but it’s new and on the way home, so I decided to give it a try. Not entirely sure how it worked, I asked if I could get the Italian, but I wanted to get it heated. I was told no, they didn’t do that. I guess I can understand them not wanting to back up the line, but they serve hot sandwiches. They have a grill. They had someone making hot sandwiches on said grill literally as I was ordering. They didn’t bother to tell me why? My very first job way back in high school was a little local sub shop. When people would order a cold sandwich hot… We would put the meat on the grill, heat it up, and then melt the cheese on top. Then you just… Put it on the bread. I don’t know. I’m having a super hard time wrapping my head around a request that I politely asked for(and was willing to wait for) and just being told no. It seems strange for a place that basically has a statement on their menu telling you they’ll do whatever you want to your sub. Anyway, I got the Italian cold. The meat is great. Top notch. It saved this review. I will say this, a regular size sandwich is huge, and I was not prepared for that. Not their fault at all. Just a heads up. My only complaint about the actual sandwich is the bread. The bread itself is fine. It’s pretty normal bread, but it’s cut entirely in half. I’m assuming this must be traditional in some places, and it’s not my preference, but not enough to really bother me normally. It probably wouldn’t have been an issue at all if the bottom piece of the bread hadn’t been HUGE and the top piece super tiny. I am pretty sure this isn’t standard practice, and I just got a poorly cut piece of bread, but holy wow… That was the messiest sandwich I’ve ever eaten. The top piece was so thin and small that it just couldn’t hold. It disintegrated under the pressure and oil and vinegar. Overall, average. Not really willing to actually do anything different, even if reasonable, for the customer. Not rude… But not accommodating or necessarily polite either. Maybe it’s just growing pains. Perhaps I’ll try again in 6 months. Edit: Don’t be surprised if you post a neutral/negative review and get a message from someone trying to bully you into changing your review [not from Unilocal])

The staff is friendly. The subs were good, but not great. The bread gets a bit to soggy. I hate that they serve pepsi instead of coke.
