The beef patties(more like a pastie) were excellent. Crust was flaky and meat was good. The yucca fries were good. First time trying them. Yum. Would eat here again. Thanks.

I came to this restaurant because I wanted to support Bob Marley and salute Jamaican culture. However, my morals won’t let me NOT review this place honestly. First of all, I love the concept of Bob Marley’s house. The live band starts at around 9:30, and that’s super fun. The staff is really nice, super friendly and attentive. They don’t care if you have already paid your bill, they will let you sit to listen to the band. So the service and atmosphere deserves an A++. However, the food does not taste like authentic Jamaican food(which is rare to find in any city). As a group, my family tried the curry chicken, ox tail, and the acci and saltfish. All of the dishes we had compared to food that my mom could make, and it just didn’t make the list. On the other hand, alot of other people who are not as familiar with Jamaican cuisine may not notice and be perfectly happy with it. Regardless, it’s such a cool place that anyone should try!

In our vacation to Universal Studios, this place ended up being my favorite place to eat. Looking for vegan or vegetarian options, we saw Bob Marley’s listed and the family are all Marley fans, so that was awesome. We went for lunch and it was very uncrowded. Promptly seated by a friendly staff member. The background reggae music was nice and not too loud, the AC was cool and it was a relaxing vibe. We ordered the natty dread veggie patties(I had no idea what to expect) and the stuffed red peppers. The kids ordered the Jerked Chicken and the Jerked Chicken Wings. They specially loved the wings. The Veggie patties were a little bland but still tasty. I loved the spinach that was served with the red peppers.

I am a big fan of Bob Marley so when I saw that there was a restaurant named after him, I had to check it out. I have to say that the food here is really delicious. I love spicy dishes! Since most of the things on the menu are spicy, I felt right at home. I tried the Ackee & Saltfish and was really satisfied with the way it was prepared. I would love to come back here and try some of the other dishes in the near future.

I would come here again — the food was good, my boyfriend and I shared a plate of bone in Jamaican jerk chicken and another plate of bone in curry chicken. Both were great, but of the two, the curry chicken was superior. The Jamaican jerk chicken was a little more over cooked and in consequence, dry. However, the plantains that came with it almost made up for it as they were nicely caramelized with huge flavor. These bone in chicken plates were fairly large so if you’re not that hungry, I’d recommend sharing an appetizer and one plate between the two of you. My boyfriend got a mixed drink(dark and stormy) and he said it was worth every cent because it was very boozy. One notable thing was our server was excellent. While the food took a little longer to come out because there was a party of 20 ahead of us, he made sure to check in on us and always made great eye contact and funny small talk. Thanks for a fitting last day of vacation dinner!

The food was ok but it’s definitely not Jamaican. I had the Jammin Chips and Salsa and Natty Bread Vegetable Patties. The patty tasted more like a vegetable pot pie. It came with Yucca fries(definitely not Jamaican). My party had the wings and they said that was good. It was an experience, probably won’t go again.

Mostly outdoor venue, great live reggae bands in the evening. The jerk chicken here is really quite good. Better than a lot of jerk places I’ve been to in Florida. I actually use the recipe for my own jerk chicken(with a bit of tweaking as I prefer very spicy). The yucca fries were awesome. All goes down well with a cold Red Stripe. This is one of the better places to eat at City walk, it’s upstairs in the back behind Cowfish so it’s not very visible from the ground level. It is worth the effort.

One Love. One Drink. One Tribute. Bob Marley — A Tribute to Freedom is just one of the many restaurants/bars/lounges you will find at Universal’s City Walk, however it stands out whether you are a fan of the musicians that holds the namesake or not. With bright and vibrant colors, cool vibes, exceptional reggae music and wonderful meal options for all types, this surely is a one stop shop while in central Florida’s hotspot. Let me always remind readers that I do not eat red meat or pork and so a lot of times, the vegetarian or vegan option is best for me. At Marley’s, you will find all that and then some. I opt for the stuffed peppers, which are plentiful and wonderful in taste Ask for it without the parmesan cheese and it is even more healthy and I believe then also vegan friendly. As I look around the table at what my friends and family also order though, I see so many great options. From beef plates to salads to burgers galore. There really is something for all. The drinks are also a big hit at Marley’s; with modest prices — all things considered — and sweet tastes that will surely remind you of the country of Jamaica. Start with one, share it and surely you will be re-ordering a round for the table as we did our first time visiting. I also would like to point out the live music and dancing after hours. While vacationing during the Halloween Horror Nights a year or so ago, we stopped back into Marley’s and the party was on in full swing. We came in, had a drink and danced a few songs of fun live reggae music. What better way to cap off an awesome weekend? Beats me. So give Marley’s a try and you will fee” Irie Mon!”

I love this bar. Super laid back and easy-going vibe. I’m a big fan of reggae music so this bar was perfect for me. I was in town for a business conference a few weeks ago and decided to check it out with some colleagues. Everyone had a great time! The layout is outdoors which was a nice surprise to me. It feels small, but there is an upstairs level surrounding the stage area. They had a live band the night we were there and they were very talented! They played a lot of big reggae hits. I will definitely be back the next time I am in the Orlando area!

A hidden gem. When I was there, unfortunately it seems like it was pretty dead. Located in the back of everything, I can see people missing this spot. To my surprise, the food wasn’t overpriced for the restaurant being located in Universal. Maybe just the soda. With tip and tax, each person’s person total can be estimated to be $ 20 or under. Service was welcoming and friendly. Our waitress made conversation and asked where we were visiting from. Even though we are state residents, she still made sure to give us tips and insight into the park we were about to go into. Very friendly! Our food came out extremely quick. We ordered wings for our appetizer and for our entrees we tried the Oxtail and the Curry Chicken(with the bone). The wings were delicously sweet — cooked to perfection. Not burnt, but it had crisp to its edges, yum. The curry chicken and the oxtail were both cooked tenderly, that the meat fell off the bones. Both huge portions that one can’t finish. The curry chicken was paired with vegetables and rice. Zucchini, corn and carrots, potato and red peppers made the dish delicious and appealing. While the oxtail, sat on a bed of rice and beans with green beans, fried onions and carrots. Overall, I was pleased to try this new place. I would definitely come again. Better than hot dogs and hamburgers inside the park(for about the same price, jk).

This place was an unexpected surprise. Finding restaurants that serve food that tastes like authentic Caribbean food proves to be quite difficult. My wife and I decided to give it a try anyway on a recent vacation to Orlando Florida. I had curry chicken and she had jerk chicken. Both meals were prepared perfectly. Very flavorful and appealing to the eye. Service was very prompt and courteous. Prices very reasonable. No complaints what’s so ever. We will definitely be back and recommend any other travelers to this area to stop in for lunch or dinner as well. Happy eating!

One love… one loooovvvve. That’s exactly how I feel for this place, delicious! The staff is very friendly and very laid back which I really like. It’s no pressure mon. The drinks are strong which is a plus because you spending good money on them you want them to be good. I ordered the oxtails which was good, the pieces were very thick, juicy and plump. Rice and beans were good and the coconut cake was just ok for me. It tasted like a big almond joy or mound bar which I personally am not a fan of. But it was ok. Loved the music and live band playing, felt like I was in Jamaica. Fan of universal city walk. Would definitely go again.

The Manchester Beef was not all that great. I have had better beef tenderloin at other local restaurants! The draft beer was not cold. The beautiful waitress told me all the drafts were like that. She gave me a bottled one ! Wish I had gone elsewhere …

This is a quirky place and it served delicious Caribbean food. I had oxtail stew served with rice and vegetables — I really enjoyed it and it was very filling. The cocktails were also really good. Service was quick and friendly. There is also live entertainment at certain times.

This review is for the drinks only– we came here while we waited for our dinner reservation at a neighboring restaurant. The ambiance can’t be beat. It’s cozy, charming, tropical and everyone had a smile(even though it was pouring rain). The bartenders were helpful and quick! The drinks were good too! Definitely go there for drinks!

I did not eat here… I just went for the nightlife aspect after dinner. I wasn’t planning on going dancing that night but the music called me in :). The line was long… and there was a $ 7.00 cover charge per person. I haven’t gone to a good reggae club in a while so I figured it would be worth it. The music was great… but it was SOOO crowded. They played a large variety of songs, some crowd favorites and others I hadn’t heard before. There was a DJ for part of the night and a live band for the latter part. Both did a good job. It wasn’t just a crowded dance floor, I love those… but crowded everywhere, the stairs, the hallways, the balcony, the walkways. There was no place to sit out the songs I didn’t like or to rest before going back to dance. It’s an open air space… and it was really hot so the rare under the fan areas were coveted spots that you got pushed around for. Overall…I liked it. Not sure I would go back… it was enjoyable enough for the night. It was definitely fun for people watching.

Bob Marley’s at Universal Orlando City Walk is a one-of a kind celebration of music and culture as Bob Marley– A Tribute to Freedom takes you on a musical journey through the life of the«King of Reggae.» Bob Marley’s songs of faith, hope, rebellion, and determination have brought inspiration and joy to audiences everywhere. Working closely with Rita Marley and the Bob Marley Foundation, they have created a replica of Bob’s home on 56 Hope Road in Kingston, Jamaica. Inside you will find artifacts, photos, and video clips from his legendary career surrounding visitors in the open-air veranda and courtyard. The cuisine features Jamaican-influenced appetizers, entrees and desserts. Some of the most popular items are the Oxtail Stew, the Sun is Shining grilled chicken breast marinated in Jamaican curry sauce, and the Taste of Jamaica appetizer platter featuring veggie & beef patties, mango wings and yucca fries. Although the seasoning is pretty accurate for the most part, some of the heat has been dialed back a little bit, I suppose to appease the masses. After all, it is in a tourist corridor. We really enjoyed everything we had, but speaking as someone who has been to Jamaica, the heat on certain dishes could have been amped up a bit more. Just about every night of the week you can expect a live Reggae band or various live acts at Bob Marley’s. Always good music and good vibes. The Taste of Jamaica A tour of Island Flavors features veggie & beef patties, jerk wings, and yucca fries for 14.99. Everything was delicious, but lacked the proper Island heat that I remember from my last visit to Jamaica. Catch A Fire Chicken Sandwich with char grilled and jerk seasoned chicken breast on coco bread with lettuce, tomato, cucumber sauce and yucca fries was pretty tasty. Coco bread is a mildly sweet bread made with coconut milk and is slightly starchy. Sun is Shining Curry Chicken with char grilled chicken breast that can be ordered bone in or boneless with Jamaican curry sauce, sweet corn, okra, white rice, seasonal vegetables, grilled pineapple and shredded coconut was a real palate pleaser. The Reggae Jamaican Jerk Chicken is a marinated bone-in half chicken that is char grilled and roasted served with Caribbean rice and beans and sweet plantains. At $ 14.99 this is a pretty good deal. I was more than stuffed after eating this, and it was pretty damn good. It certainly is a «Belly Full Entrée» Whether you want to go for the food or the music… or a little bit of both, Bob Marley: A Tribute To Freedom is certainly worth a visit. I dined with a party of three and the food, music and vibes were all good.

Make sure to make a reservation. But do it online because trying to call this place is a nightmare. You will never get a hold of anyone. The set up was really nice. All outdoors but they also have the upper area available if you want to be indoors. If you want to sit by the stage and get a good view of the performance, you have to sit outdoors. The food was okay. I expected it to be better but it wasn’t. The oxtail soup was delicious though. The beef patties were over priced and it wasn’t that great. But we were happy with the live performances. I would go back but just for the music.

Awesome live band, cool ambience and great drinks! This place was rockin… literally! Reggae style. You’re sippin your fruity boozy beverage meanwhile some stranger is so moved by the tunes they choose to just showcase their singing voice or better yet; show everyone their swaggy moves. that pretty much sums up a visit to Bob Marleys little joint here. The place is built quite interestingly. We walked inside and were seated… on what appears to be the patio area by the stage. Its like an open aired courtyard. Because you’re still surrounded by a structure it feels like you’re inside. Maybe you’re confused right now by the visualization I just created, but just see for yourself. Lol. The place is cool!
