Pink Tuna is a good example of what’s been wrong with the sushi fad in America. Largely catering to the western idea that a Roll is the same as «sushi», their menu is littered with food aimed to please the hipster crowd with a mess of ingredients slopped over a roll of pre-cut fish and rice. Yes. Pre-cut fish. Unlike some of the finer sushi establishments, Pink Tuna has their fish stored behind the bar on platters with fish that has been pre-sliced into portions agreeable for sushi rolls. I assume this has been done to speed up the process of getting food as quickly as possible to the patron. Oh. Wait a minute. Speed? I overheard the server telling another patron«we have a lot of orders, so it might take 20 minutes». Huh? With pre-cut fish? Oh, but that’s because they have lots of orders, right? I looked around at the little restaurant, if you want to call it that, and the place couldn’t possibly seat more than 20 guests. And at the time of my visit, they were at(generously) 50% capacity. I ordered some tea and an appetizer. I received the appetizer and it wasn’t too bad. I looked over the selection of sushi and sashimi(not rolls), and didn’t see that much of an option. Yellowtail, maybe some albacore. They can’t screw that up, right? So I waited to put in the rest of my order. And waited. And waited. With a kitchen staff of at least 3, a server, and only 10 patrons… What… The… ! I flagged the server, «Excuse me, can I put in the rest of my order?» «Sure, what would you like?» «Yellowtail» “We don’t have Yellowtail“ What? Yellowtail tuna, out of it!!! How can an establishment that calls itself a sushi parlor be out of one of the most common fish in the west coast? And the selection of fish they have to offer is limited to begin with(maybe 10 types of fish/seafood), they can’t afford to be out of this. Ok. So, the server was nice. By this time I assume that they’re used to upsetting guests, so they continued to pour on the nice. 1 star for service. «Ok, well… Let me just get my check». I’m glad I wasn’t too hungry, otherwise I might be really upset. I’ve been known to spend quite a bit of $ on sushi places that know what they’re doing. I’m glad my tab was a little over $ 10. I don’t recommend this place if you’re looking for good sushi or sashimi. But if you’re hooked on the hype of multi-layered rolls that mask good, clean, fresh fish, this might be the place for you.

Amazing service and food. The California rolls were filled with a ton of crab meat which was excellent. After leaving with take out one of the chefs followed my family and I all the way back to our hotel to give us sweat and sour sauce! Great place and would recommend.

Awesome Bento Box! They are very filling and affordable! It comes with your choice of selected sushi rolls or cooked meats(teriyaki chicken, salmon, pork cutlet on a bed of rice), fried gyoza or California Rolls, few pieces of tempura and salad, all for $ 7.99-$ 10.99 I ordered 2 bento boxes to go, one with SHRIMPCRUNCHROLL and HAWAIIANROLL. Both were very tasty, but the pieces of tuna on top of the Hawaiian Roll were really thin. maybe because it’s in a bento? Not sure. I also ordered a side of Spicy Tuna Roll, California Roll and Avocado Roll in case the bento wouldn’t fill us up, but it did!!! Service was great! The guys who took my order and packed my food were really nice and kept thanking me for coming. Definitely a great spot for decent and affordable sushi!

Pink Tuna! I’m sooo in love! I had no idea this hidden gem was so close to home. Their Bento box deals are amazing. You get so much bang for your buck! For 10 $ I got a huge sushi roll with baked scallops, a salad and pot stickers! Please stop by and try them!

This place is great. Wonderful service, reasonable prices, and food always tastes fresh. Very wide variety on the menu. They deliver within 3 miles, which is awesome. I haven’t ever left this place disappointed. Can’t say enough about their friendly service and great food!

It’s pretty decent for a quick lunch sushi fix in a strip mall. I had the 12 piece sashimi plate my partner had the deluxe bento box his had a lot more food for a lower price. It was good but but not as favorable as some I have had. The wasabi had no kick either. The service was quick and polite everything looked fresh and well displayed it was just kinda bland. I ate less than i normally would. It just didn’t excite me to order anymore at that point.

Service is sloowwwwww here. We came here for lunch and there were only two other tables in the restaurant. Both were in the middle of the lunch when we sat down, but both tables had to get the waiter’s attention to get a check. Once they got their bill, they had to literally walk up to the counter to get his attention again so they could pay. That’s super annoying, especially if you’re on a time crunch and only have a set time for eating. The rumor of good lunch specials is what enticed us here and they were indeed a good bargain if you wanted bento boxes with California rolls. I wanted something a little more so I went with their regular menu. I don’t mind paying for good sushi, but I’m also one of those people that doesn’t mind getting fast-casual sushi that’s loaded with sauces if I’m hungry and just looking to fill a void in my stomach. This is definitely one of those places. I ended up getting the Hot Night Roll(shrimp tempura, crab meat, avocado, spicy tuna) and a teriyaki chicken bowl. The roll was filling and they gave you a lot. It had enough heat so that I didn’t need any additional hot sauce. The chicken bowl was okay, but it had a lot of sauce on it. So much that there was a ton left of it after i finished my rice. Sort of an overkill. Jaime ended up getting the Love Love Roll(spicy tuna, crab meat, crunch, cucumber, tuna and deep fried garlic. I ate quite a few pieces of his and I have to say that I liked this roll a lot better than mine. I think the inclusion of the garlic was what really hit the spot. We both agreed that this was the winner out of everything that we tried. Before we were even halfway through our meal, our waiter asked us if there was anything else we needed. We didn’t, so he dropped off the check, grabbed a to-go order and then left to go and deliver. Apparently there is only a cook and and a cashier, so when a delivery is made, half the staff goes with it. When we were finally done, we too had to flag down the chef to give us our bill. He had trouble trying to get it all together, but finally did. When we were ready to give our card, it took more time… I think we spent more time waiting than we did actually eating. I don’t know if I would actively seek this place out, especially since there are other decent sushi places in the area for about the same price. The lack of attention when refilling drinks and getting payment annoyed me.

This place is right down the street from my job. It’s pretty decent for a quick sushi fix. I’ve never tried it during the day it’s always a night time kinda deal with this place for me. I don’t know if I would actually try it during the day since during the day all the other«go to» sushi places are already open. For the most part the sushi is good, but some of the rolls I got were slammed with a bunch of rice and then some weren’t. I’ll have to try this place again for a better review.
