Nails So Happy

I’ve tried a few of the nail salons in the area since moving to oakleaf last summer, and had not been impressed. I saw this one the other day when I stopped at the publix next door (normally shop at the other publix). I wish I’d seen this place sooner! It wasn’t anything fancy, but it was clean and despite being pretty full for a weekday, I only had to wait a few minutes. Pretty much by the time I picked my color, someone was ready for me. All of the staff were very friendly. I got a great gel manicure. Their prices were very reasonable. I really liked that they had a nice big service menu board that was very detailed. There were single service as well as package prices and up charges. They also offer Kid’s services that were listed with pricing. Usually you have to ask about kids. At the register they had pamphlets with all of the same pricing as the board to take home. I really like how transparent they are about pricing because I hate having to ask, or not realize something is extra until it’s time to pay. Overall, a great experience and I will definitely be going back!

I came in for a pedicure. I was not able to relax because there was a group of loud teenage girls. He prices are pretty good here. The staff is very fast and efficient. My pedicure came out really nice.

This place is horrible, can they not make me bleed every time I go? My nail beds always are swollen and painful when I leave and they stay that way for three days! Stay away!

I just moved in the Oakleaf area so I was out looking for a nail salon and thought I’d check this place out.
The store was clean and had enough staff to pedicure chair ratio. All of the chairs were full. Many options for Pedi to choose from with different pricing. Some places do not offer a ‘menu’ for pedicures and make an assumption that one knows what sort of pedicure they want.
Courteous staff with fast service. Not sure what some of the other reviewers were talking about since I did not have the same experience of getting cut or my polish being bubbly or cracking.
Recommend making an appointment on the weekends or holidays since this place is in a very busy location.
BTW –since we live in Florida – insect repellant makes the nail polish bubble.

I don’t know Why I continue to come here when I come into town.
This first time I came here:
The young lady cut me and I was bleeding for a while.
My nail polish was bubbly
My polish cracked the next day
2 days later I had more hang nails and dry skin peeling up.
The second time which was a couple days ago I asked the gentlemen to please manicure my nails to where there is no dry skin around my nails… I touched around and keep asking him to please fix it and he couldn’t? Iv had my nails manicured flawless and lasted weeks not TWO DAYS.
When the young man was done he didn’t sanitize the tools and put then back in his small box, again disgusting.
When he buffed my nails the buffer/​sander was brown as hell, again disgusting.
I notice here they lightly pick at the dead skin which results in flakey skin around the nails the next day.

This old lady said she couldn’t find her cuticle pusher so instead she used her finger nail to push up his cuticle.
Seriously stay away from this nail studio they aren’t up to code with their sanitizing.

Not too happy with the service here — so much so that I’m actually taking the time out to write a complaint. Granted my pink/​whites look good, the experience was painful. If I wanted painful I would have gone to a tattoo salon and had something inked. I’m just wondering how many times you have to say «Ouch!!» before they get the hint here? It’s been almost a week now since having my nails done, and my whole right hand is still sore on the nails… And they don’t have white tips… Something I wish I would have known before coming here. I guess I learned my lesson — never sway from your usual spot!

I now travel 25 mins from Green Cove for Miss Mary’s divine pedi mani massage and nail work. I use to come here when I lived in Oakleaf and was always pleased with the level of service from Mary and her staff. A real plus the massage chairs work and are a treat, most chairs at other places are not that comfortable but these seem to be pretty nice, these are new chairs, not the one’s she had when I used to come there.
I am now back after being disappointed with my choices in Fleming Island. The only thing that would make this better is if it was on the beach in the Caymans…
