I wandered in here on a Sunday morning to try out a new coffee shop and was nothing short of blown away. Right when I walked in, a woman was standing near the door, came right up to me, shook my hand and said«I’m so happy you’re here.» It wasn’t a weird vibe at all, but was overall just very welcoming. I was told I should try the vanilla latte, and it was fantastic. While I waited, they had a dessert bar as well as some other fruits, all of which were presented casually, yet very nicely. The book selection was fantastic — ranging from nonfiction, devotional, fiction, autobiographies, etc. I’m sure there’s something there for everyone! As I was leaving, a band started playing and more people were coming in and gathering to watch. I later realized it was a church service of sorts. If I had more time, I would have definitely stuck around a lot longer. Try it out! Amazing coffee, atmosphere, book selection and much more.

This place is the quintessential cool bookstore with great coffee and a inviting vibe. Many of my friends meet here on Saturday mornings to chill, sip hot exotic coffee, and discuss existential problems.

Ran into this place randomly while looking for a coffee and a place to work in the morning. An amazing place for work and study. A lot of light and very ambient music coming from the far end of the book store and does not impose itself on you. Coffee drinks are double strong and good but you can ask to put less espresso there if you wish.

I was visiting Omaha for work and stopped in here for coffee and wifi. It is a casual little coffeeshop in an historic brick building with very friendly staff and great coffee. I recommend it!

If you’re looking for a cool, laid-back spot to sip coffee and be inspired, this is the place. Recently I grabbed myself an iced coffee, got comfortable in the padded benches near the window, and waited for a friend. The space is well-lit and open and has such a friendly+cool vibe. I’ll definitely come back, if not only to try the delicious baked goods! The gal behind the counter noted that the goodies are donated to them by a local baker. Cool stuff.

Always find what I need and more. My soul is filled when I roam the shelves looking for nothing. but always finding something. Wonderful atmosphere to sit and read. Free Wi-Fi. The coffee shop is now run by Urban Abbey, which is an amazing discovery and now«home» I have found. Jim is usually behind the coffee bar, and has a wealth of knowledge and kindness to share with all. Awesome selection of coffee(get the hot tea– the pyramid tea bags rock!) The desserts are homemade by Urban’s Pastor’s mom ;) Oh yeah, can you get an cuter! The apple/raspberry bar is something I cannot refuse, and I don’t even try anymore to just eat half ;) They are open during the Saturday Farmers Market, and even have events for kids! The best coffee/soul filling bookstore I have ever been to!

Love it. Susan and David have created a wonderful spot to go for a little quiet reflection. You can have a cup of coffee or chai, sit and chat with friends or sit and read by yourself. It is a weekly ritual for us to visit Soul Desires after the farmers market during the summer. We don’t get there nearly enough at other times. They also have alot of cool jewelry and other fun stuff. They can special order ANY book for you. Support small businesses!!!

I’m not nearly a «spiritual» enough person to enjoy this store to its maximum potential, but it’s still a fun place to browse, with a warm, friendly atmosphere and a great selection of books on religious, self-help, and similiar subjects, as well as some neat gifts, lovely greeting cards, and other goodies.
