It’s McDonald’s so yo get what you get. Just wanted to warn other people who get happy meals for their kids to check the expiration dates on the milk you get. The last three times we have been I have forgotten to check before pulling out of the drive thru and each time the milk had been expired by a couple of days and I have had to throw it out once I got home.

I got food poising here from eating a burger, chicken nuggets and fries. I haven’t been to one since because I don’t want to get it again. It was unpleasant and lasted for 3 days with cramps and vomiting.

Sometimes can get really crowded. It can get backed up during certain times. But it’s nice inside, always nice after the wood catches dubs.

I’ve been to this McDonald’s several times in the past 6 months and I’ve yet to be disappointed. I order for a family of five and never had our order wrong. Other than that it’s your usual McDonald’s.

Wait, are you kidding me? This is a terrible place, even by McDonald’s standards. Some McDonald’s are really okay if you’re in a pinch. You get your fries, your milkshake, you sit down. Your food is the appropriate temperature, consistency, etc. If there’s something wrong, you tell them, they fix it. Now, they might not exactly be the American Mary Poppins, but they’re decent to you. However, this is not one of those places and it is nothing even resembling decent. It was empty inside when I ordered. Shortly upon receiving my food I realized that they fudged up my milkshake. It was watery, it was nasty. My fries were also tough and as cold as all of hell. I told them what was up, and I thought I was pretty nice about it. Now, I used to live in Ecuador and am thus pretty fluent in Spanish. They weren’t very nice. The lady in the back said, and I quote, «The skinny white girl is complaining about her food. Check the machine again». Really now? It wasn’t even worth confronting them. I demanded my money back and got out of there, empty handed and empty stomached.

This store actually inspired a potential review of Unilocal itself. Why? Because Unilocal doesn’t have a zero stars review option. That’s too bad; for this store, I would prefer, rather than one star and«Eek! Methinks not» to have chosen zero stars and«This place should be razed to the ground, its employees convicted for crimes against humanity and justice.» Never before — and, I suspect, never again — have I met people ruder than those at this store. Attitude seeps from every pore, disdain from every barbed interaction. If I ask you for two packs of barbecue sauce for my ten piece nugget meal, why give me one? Why do this every time for years? Why glare when I ask kindly again for my second? The ridiculous antics of this establishment that I was exposed to at the tender age of seventeen took me far down a misguided path of thinking that McDonalds employed the spiteful and the mean-spirited as an intentional business practice. Lukewarm food, drinks that are drowned in ice — yes, drowned in ice — and a staff that seems offended that you intrude upon their sacred ground nets this establishment one star on Unilocal — again, a rating that it does not truly earn.

Normally I refrain from writing reviews for fast food places since the case is usually«seen one, seen ‘em all» but this McDonalds is especially worthy of condemnation. It took me until I went to school out of state to realize that the absolutely terrible service, lukewarm food and general crappyness is pretty much unique to this McDonalds, and not at all typical of McDonalds around the country. I blame the fact that this McDonalds is so terrible on its lack of competition. This is the only McDonalds for miles, and the other fast food places in Olney are fried chicken places, not typical competition like a Burger King or Wendy’s. It is also the only place besides 7 – 11 and Harris Teeter that is open 24 hours in Olney for food. Getting orders wrong, getting cold food, soggy fries, and dealing with sassy staff are all par for the course at this McDonalds. It’s gotten to the point where I avoid this McDonalds at all costs, and you should do the same. Either they should realize that service matters, or they should fail.
