Cheeburger Cheeburger is just one of the few places in Olney to grab a decent burger. This location seems to be less busy than the one on Shady Grove Rd. The interior is pretty spacious and has a cool 1950s vibe. The burger patties were sizable, and they’re cooked to order if you specify a temperature. It wasn’t very flavorful, but the melted cheese made up for it. The buns were soft, but the burger patty may be a little too big for the buns to hold everything together. The shredded iceberg lettuce was limp and drenched in grease. The onion rings had a unique fried batter, but they were unfortunately flavorless as well. The food here is average at best. If you’re looking for a place to just fill up, then this is the place for you. I’d give them another try if I run out of options to get a burger in the area.

Used to be a lot more fun back in the day when there were locations in Timonium and Hunt Valley. I moved out to Olney a year ago and I have tried many times to fall in love with Cheeburger Cheeburger again. I simply can’t. Especially this location. Every time Paul and I go, we get some under trained waitress who always screws up our order in some way. We are often ignored half the time and the food is subpar at best. The appeal of this place has since faded with the entrance of places like Five Guys and Red Robin. Over priced and just not what its cracked up to be,

Most of the negative reviews hit it right on the head: it’s overpriced for what you get and the service is awful. My burger was wrong, but I went ahead and ate it anyway because I could never find our server to fix it. Had to wait way too long for drink refills. I would give it 1 star, but the milkshake and onion rings were tasty.

AVOIDLIKETHEPLAGUEUNLESSYOUWANTTOGETSICK!!! We had a takeout order, and long story short, our medium and medium well burgers were both literally raw in the middle. They were thick burgers with a lot of toppings, so we ended up eating part of them before realizing the middles were raw, making it an extra unsettling find. I went back to the restaurant to politely ask for my money back, make sure they were aware of the problem, and give them back the offending food– it was gross enough that we lost out appetites. Some babyfaced kid who said he was the Manager took them back with his bad teenager attitude, threw them in the trash, and REFUSED give us a refund. He got really sassy and really aggressive, trying to argue with us saying there was nothing wrong with our food and that it was somehow our fault for not understanding what medium and medium well looked like. I’ve been eating cheeseburgers for longer than he’s even been alive, but ok. What really got me was when he said that it was impossible for us to get sick because they used«natural» beef, and that they leave their meat out all day and it’s fine because there aren’t any antibiotics in it. AREYOUSERIOUS!!! THAT’S THEDUMBESTTHING I’VEHEARD. I tried to tell him about Salmonella and E-Coli, but this kid wanted to argue that those didn’t occur in the kind of beef they used. Apparently Cheeburger Cheeburger uses unicorn meat. The Manager ended up causing a scene over what should have been an apology and a non-issue. The two girls working in the back(both super friendly and polite – no complaints about them) were both making faces at the manager behind his back and mouthing the word«sorry» over and over. So unbelievable unsafe, disgusting, and straight up gross! If they’re going to serve people raw meat and not even acknowledge it as a mistake who knows what other disgusting stuff happens in their kitchen. I’m filing a complaint with the Health Department. I’m not even trying to be a jerk, I’m legitimately concerned about people getting sick. UPDATE: BOTHMYSELFANDMYDINNERCOMPANIONARENOWSICKWITHFOODPOISONING.

The service is always pretty good but have gotten food poisoning there before too. It’s never really busy unless there is a school fund raising event

We found a hair deep inside our fries! Average burgers and shakes, terrible onion rings.

Good hamburger… that’s it! Way overpriced! Fries terrible, one of the fries was half burnt black, so we returned it and asked for a refund. The waitress was terrible had an attitude specially after we returned the fries. We didn’t see the refund on the ticket we asked her and she disdainfully told us it’s there(which it was, but that’s not the way to talk to a costumer). oh and also the Strawberry Shake tasted nothing like strawberry! Go to Five Guys right around the corner!

Stopped here with 4 kids after a day at the Sandy Spring Adventure Park. Had never been to one and the host(can’t remember his name) was fantastic about explaining their menu. I may be in the minority but I liked them better than 5 Guys. Burgers weren’t nearly as greasy and they had even more topping choices(pesto? peanut butter?!?) Fries & onion rings were great — simple, salty and more than plentiful. The kids loved the pink retro car«plate» as well as trying to decided among the tons of ice cream flavors. Our server Liz was super. Would definitely come back when in the area.

The restaurant was dirty. Floors were stained and tables were sticky. The milkshakes were runny. Had half a banana in mine since the blender wasn’t able to «crush» it. They brought me a second one. Just as runny as the first one minus the banana. My burger was overcooked and the buns were stale. Needless to say, we won’t be back.

This is a good spot to bring your kid. They serve their food in a little cardboard car that they can take home, they are given crayons to color on a gaming sheet they hand out, and the music is good. I only gave it 3 stars because they food is average. The milkshakes were very very good though!

Soooooo yummy! If you’re craving a good old fashion burger, this is the spot! The service was awesome and the menu tour the waitress gave us was impressive. The milkshakes are out of this world(chocolate peanut butter is my favorite). The atmosphere is cute and very family friendly. Will definitely be back.

They have really added to their menu the past few years to accommodate a range of customers. Now, they offer salmon burgers, salads, all size burgers, wraps, etc. Cheeburger has an excellent menu. Although it is a franchise, the Olney Cheegburger is one of my favorite locations I’ve been to. The wait staff is always so friendly, attentive, and enthusiastic. My brother Bert, who is mentally challenged, is very particular about his order. The waiters always take special care of him and make him feel so loved. He always begs me to take him to Cheeburger when I’m home. I love Cheeburger’s unique 50’s Diner theme; they keep it in tact. They give trivia cards at the table and offer a huge range of milkshakes.

Ordered the portobello mushroom burger as takeout. When I opened the burger, all the cheese was on the side struck to the wrap — yet it was tightly wrapped. The bun was cheap/didn’t taste good at all. The only reason I started eating it was because I was hungry, and there was mushrooms and jalapeños in it. But I couldn’t finish it… the bun was soaked through and soggy, carelessly made. It makes a Burger King burger taste good. This is the junk we feed our kids? Disappointed.

Sat down for 10 min no one came to take my order. Walked out and never ate. If you would like to eat this is not the place to go.

I don’t know why this place is rated 3 stars, it’s so good! Forget 5 guys… u can go out to eat with your hunny bun for 20 bucks here, and enjoy the lovely romantic 50s music. Their onion rings are sooo good and their fries are so salty and yummy. They have over 30 flavors of milkshakes, and their burgers are always cooked on point. If you want a fun classic place to go to, I definitely recommend getting a cheeburger at cheeburger cheeburger :)

One word of advice: go to Five Guys instead. You would be crazy to go here instead. The prices are way too high and the food is not very good. The fries are terrible(especially with Five Guys just around the corner). The worst part about this place is the burgers. This is a shame because it is called Cheeburger Cheeburger, which makes you think it should be known for it’s burgers. The burgers are tasteless, dry and almost fall apart. I love burgers and couldn’t even finish mine. The one saving grace is the awesome décor, followed by the good yet overpriced milkshakes. Not worth going to in my opinion and unappetizing to boot.

I don’t know why this place has such good reviews. Our waitress was very nice, but the food is average. ALL of our burgers were overcooked and burned on the outside The fries are gross. The rings were good. The shakes were watery and somewhat bland. It’s been 6 years since we have eaten here, it will probably be another 6.

You gotta love a place that serves your drinks in mason jars right? I love their ‘50s theme and strong customer service. This is my go-to Mommy/Daughter date night restaurant, and they never disappoint. The food is delicious! I don’t know what’s so special about the onion rings, but they are a true treat for your tastebuds. The fries are pretty good, too. The various sauces they have are a great accompaniment to their sides, too. I won’t lie — I get the burgers as a vehicle for their seasoning. I don’t know what’s in it, but it’s delicious. I can never get enough of it. Having said that, the burgers are pretty tasty. They have quite a few sides to choose from, so that might be a bit daunting at first. Just experiment until you find what you like.

I was waiting for a real estate settlement and I got up to the area a little earlier than I expected so I was hunting around for a place to grab a quick bit that wasn’t Mickey D’s and wasn’t ultra swank or expensive. I was pleasantly surprised to find this place. I had been to the one in Annapolis but that was always crowded and it was kinda small. This one had plenty of space and it wasn’t that crowded when I got there so I got seated right away. I love the ambiance of this place. It’s a throw back to the old soda fountain days of the ‘50s and ‘60s. It’s done well without being overbearing. The waitress was friendly and very low key on the up sell which is nice. The cheeseburger I got was really very tasty and cooked exactly as I ordered it. I also got a chocolate shake which, needless to say, was delicious and plentiful. They have a gazillion different flavors of shakes but I thought I would stick with the tried and true. The fires were great. Crispy and not too oily. All in all, it’s a great place for an old fashioned burger and shake or whatever.
