Winner winner burger dinner, always get little cajun fries and a little cheeseburger, and i never do the same topping combination twice. Go for the fries and stay for the burger

There is a cashier there that has such an amazing attitude. He is always smiling and makes you feel good about eating there. Their food is pretty good, I really don’t like all the choices though. I am a simple person

The first time I tried this place, I hated it. I think the problem was I had 2 many ingredients. I was coerced into returning. On this occasion, I ordered just a few items on the single burger and was genuinely pleased. The fries aren’t too bad. I now know how to order the hamburger I want and the price isn’t bad.

Gotta be one of my favorite burger places of all time, and love that they give you a gazillion fries. If you haven’t, try the cajun seasoned fries, they are pretty awesome too! I feel like I could eat 2 double chz burgers here with no problem. Wish they’d open one up in Shawnee!!!

I think every time I’ve came to this location the employees were always very friendly and made sure everything was fresh and hot. Ordering online is also a pleasurable experience. It’s almost as if they know who you are when you come to pick it up. It is however extremely filling and I always get the smallest burger and fries. The small fries can usually be shared with another person. That’s really all I can say. This location is on their A game.

Five stars for the burgers, 2 or 3 stars for the fries. The burgers are always delicious, but I feel like the fries are never done enough yet are too greasy. I always forget this fact and still order fries. Note to self: forgo the fries, take peanuts instead. Also, I don’t drink caffeine so I appreicated that their coke freestyle machine has caffeine free diet coke.

Never have liked Five Guys the two previous times I’ve had them. The burger wasn’t great and their fries were mushy. This time was different. The burger was properly cooked with a char on it and the fries were nice and crispy. The one thing that I don’t like is their bun does not hold up to their ingredients. I was trying to hold it all together just a few bites in. That took it down a notch from being a 4 star experience.

Have I not reviewed this place? I’ve been here enough over the last few years I don’t know what is up. Today’s visit was what you would expect; 4 star. On occasion it will slip to 3 stars. This is due to the burger being off the usual beefy awesomeness that you come to expect. Today we had good beefy awesomeness. I created a tip about a third, smaller, french fry size. I avoid the«regular» small because it is just too much and I lack willpower to stop or don’t want to «waste» those delicious fries. The smallest size is perfect, maybe only a few too many. I can only imagine the large. Probably a half a bushel of spuds. I find the smaller burger is the right size for me. The bigger is just too much and I can pack away the food. Maybe without fries the bigger burger would be good. There is a multitude of FREE extras like onion or grilled onion, lettuce, mayo and on and on and on. You pay for cheese and bacon and I don’t know what else ’cause those are the only paid add ons I go for. OK I’m rambling. That happens when I have a really good burger.

I love all the free options for toppings! I should probably just eat the burger as a wrap or salad with all the toppings I like to add. I also love that the fries are so fresh! The free peanuts aren’t too bad either!

Utterly tasteless meat. If you want your hamburger that tastes like ketchup, then this is your place. Way too expensive, and all those posters voting them«best tasting burger» have got to be a flat-out lie. «It may not be appetizing, but it appears to be a good source of protein. I suggest you eat it» — Dr. Phlox

I love this place. The burgers and fries are the best! But the availability of free, unlimited peanuts in the shell put this burger joint over the top!

The best burger on the market for chains. Consistent and always great. Tip: don’t go overboard with toppings, it takes away from the great burger flavor, here simple is better!

I like a good burger and for a fast food chain, Five Guys really delivers. The burgers are always cooked fresh. They have the perfect amount of greasiness and are nice and juicy, and I absolutely love the total create your own menu along with the selections. You have your standard items which are always delicious and fresh, then some others that are not typical at most places, my favorite, jalapenos! The fries are great and also cooked fresh as you order. Be ready to split an order though because you get a huge bag full! The soda machine annoys me. It is cool and fancy and seems to have a larger selection because you can add flavors, but it can bog down the line especially if there are children involved who see it as a game. Hands down, best burger joint in this area.

I guess I don’t get the hype. I found the burger to be below average. The toppings were good, fresh, and better than the burger. It was«well done and juicy» as advertised; it just didn’t taste like anything. Underseasoned, or underseared perhaps? Not sure. Maybe it was cut and ground from some kind of special flavorless breed of cattle. Way too many acceptable but not outstanding fries. Honestly, the burger reminded me of any number of other generic fast food burgers, but was slightly more expensive. Sort of like Hardee’s with better topping options.

There is an old saying: «Delicious beef burgers for humble belly.» Number one son enjoys digging in complimentary peanut box. Joy in heart more desirable than bullet: bag of greasy fries available for abundant heart attack. To think is one thing, to have proof is another: Besides Snack Shack in old town Overland Park, these are the best hamburgers in Johnson County.

Fresh-cooked to order burgers, with a simple menu… yes, just like Inn-N-Out…I am going to completely disagree with those who don’t think it’s as good as Inn-N-Out(like my friend Kay). As someone who has lived in California for just about a decade of my short life, I’m going to say that not only is Five Guys as good as Inn-N-Out, but in some ways… betta! Reasons? 1. Cajun-style fries which are actually really good. 2. The fact that I don’t have to go to California to get it. 3. Very reasonable prices. 4. Great toppings, including grilled onions, sauteed mushrooms, and jalapenos. Pluses as a restaurant: 1. Super clean. 2. Friendly service. 3. Peanuts while you wait.

Finally succumbed to the hype and gave Five Guys a try. I can’t say I was wildly impressed. I had the bacon cheeseburger with fries and a drink and found it pricey for what I got. The burger, although freshly made and assembled, was kind of dry and crumbly. The sign at the order counter says they cook all their meat well-done. That would certainly explain it! If you’re going to offer made-to-order hamburgers, meat cooked«medium» should be an option. That’s sufficiently well-cooked to kill off unwanted bugs without drying out the burger completely. The fries were very good and more than I could finish(a rarity)! Nice and crispy with skin on. But the burger is supposed to be the star of the show and I’m not sure, for the price differential, that this is that much better than one of McDonald’s 1/3-lb Angus burgers, and for a meal combo with fries and a drink included Mickey D’s is less expensive!

Good burger, fresh ingredients, not-frozen fries… all the essentials. 5 Guys isn’t quite up to the level of In’N’Out deliciousness, but it’s within hailing distance. Plus you gotta love the peanuts in the shell. Edited to add: They’ve put in the coolest soda machines EVAH. Retro Coke styling with touch screens! It’s like a cross between an old 1950’s-era gas station fridge and a Star Trek replicator.

I’m not a big hamburger or meat eater, but every once in a while I crave a basic, cheesy, juicy hamburger. I’ve been hearing about Five Guys’ hype for a while and decided to stop here for lunch while down in SOJOCO doing some shopping. The first thing I noticed was all the peanuts. I didn’t get it at first, but realized you could go scoop some peanuts for yourself and snack while you wait. Different. What I absolutely loved was the menu. SIMPLE! I like it! If there’s one thing that annoys me, it’s walking into an order-at-the-counter joint and having to read an epic style menu and decide what I want while the cashier stares at me. HATE! Anyhoodle, you get 4 choices: hamburger, cheeseburger, bacon burger, bacon cheeseburger. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger, some fries and a drink. Easy as pie. While I waited a few minutes for my food, I was curious about the history of Five Guys, and curious about how they obtained their food after seeing the little handwritten sign on the wall telling me that today’s potatoes were from some farm in Idaho. I just watched Food Inc. and read Fast Food Nation last year. It takes some pretty big hunger and coaxing to get me to step into a fast food joint. So I looked them up on my iPhone and wasn’t all that surprised that their meat isn’t organic or free range. There’d be no way they could be that cheap if that were the case. BUT, I thought it was cool that they don’t have freezers in any of their stores. Everything is fresh. And you can tell. The burgers taste like I just made them on my(imaginary) grill. The fries are hot and actually taste like potatoes. Nothing is prepackaged, manufactured almost-food here. I ate my entire burger, and that’s saying something. They give you a lot of fries, though. I’ll try to split them with whoever I go with next time. We both got an order and we could have easily split one order and still had some left over. So, while I don’t eat fast food very often, if I ever get a craving I’ll drive the extra distance to go to Five Guys. Good stuff!

Operating on the KISS principle, FGBF is a throwback diner-ish type place with REALLY good… well… burgers and fries. Duh! They give you a cute message as to where the potatoes are from every day. They have always been Idaho for me. I just like the combination of simplicity, cleanliness and creating your own flavor of burger with toppings you like.
