Red Lobster

Ate there for lunch today. I hadn’t been there in a couple of years because my last experience was not good, the food was not good and the service was bad.
Today it was great! I was pleasantly surprised. I had the pick 2 lunch– grilled garlic shrimp, 2 pieces of crunchy fried fish, salad and baked potato! Excellent and excellent service! We will go back!

I ate here with my kids on Friday ³⁄₂₅. Red Lobster is always a treat for us and tonight was no different. I was concerned when I read some of the reviews for this location, but our experience was a good one. I felt like they got us seated in a reasonable amount of time considering how busy it was on a Friday night. Our waitress was friendly and did a good job of taking care of us. Bella and I shared plates. I did the lobster boil, she did the crab legs. The crab legs were definitely the better value for dollar. The lobster boil wasn’t very impressive. Really, I’d say that the best value is adding another crab claw for $ 5. Overall a great Friday night dinner with the kiddos.

Visited Red Lobster for a Friday Lent Dinner with the family. There wasn’t any wait and lobby was empty even though the parking lot was full, as we were seated we were quickly asked what we’d like to drink. I saw on the website you can keep the glass jar of you order the Lobster Sunset so I went for it. Needless to say it was well flavored with tropical rum and pineapple juice mixes, not too strong… just right. I ordered the Lobster Lovers Dream for Lobsterfest promotion going on and it was very fulfilling entrée. The waiter was very attentive, much better than my last one on the previous review, water was always filled, food came out well and properly cooked, 2 kinds of lobsters, Maine and Rock lobster tails were properly boiled, pasta was flavorful, for $ 31 plate I highly recommend to try at least once. Overall, great food and service as well as atmosphere not too quite or loud, a pretty good evening dinner at the local Red Lobster! Till next time Red Lobster.

Surprisingly well staffed for an Odessa restaurant. We were weary at first that the quality of service and food would be low but we were pleasantly surprised! It’s good to know that the chain is consistent and the food is the same here as it would be in a busy city. Our favorite is always the shrimp scampi!

Great red lobster this is one of my favorite restaurants. First time at this particular red lobster but the restaurants was clean, friendly staff, waitress ok, I’ll be going back

Great food. The alfredo linguini is amazing. They also have a great dessert menu and their bar serves good stiff drinks.

This used to be my favorite place to eat. I went there yesterday and I’m not sure when they changed their biscuits but they are not even close to the great way they were before. Also I think they changed the batter on the shrimp which I didn’t like either. Not sure I will go pay that high dollar now, not worth it.

Such a treat to come to Odessa for a Red Lobster fix! Especially since the Red Lobster in Midland closed.
This place has always been nice & clean, with cool décor, & plenty of space (extra stalls) in the restrooms.
The servers would also work with me, since I’m an ovo-​lacto-​vegetarian (& I’m not into seafood). I would usually order a pasta dish (fettuccini alfredo), & have it without any extra added meat. Of course the cheese rolls are plentiful & delicious (& the difference between a 4-​star & 5-​star rating, for me)!

This restaurant would get two stars if it weren’t for the friendly host and the really good shrimp tacos.
Our server was very aloof, didn’t know the menu, and took her time checking on the table, if I wanted a refill, I had to ask. It wasn’t busy and during the afternoon that I went, yet there was no silverware on the tables and lots of dirty tables in the area we ate in.
They would be wise to make their host a server, he walked by the table twice while we were waiting for our server and refilled our drinks, brought more bread and made sure we had all we needed.

I have always loved Red Lobster. This is one of the finer restaurants of the great town of Odessa. I would hate to see this establishment ever close in this town. I don’t eat here but a couple of times a year but always had great food and service. I do drive by sometimes and their is a line all the way out the door. I guess I’ve lucked out and never had to wait to be seated.

I chose to call in my order. They said it would be ready in 20 minutes. It’s been over 40 minutes and they are still wrapping it up. Not a great choice to eat at for Ramadan. Or probably any time, unless you don’t have a life. People need jobs. How about they hire more people or correctly train the ones they have?
Update: no Ranch dressing and no cesar dressing. Thank you red lobster.

I really wanted to see how much the steak and lobster was but no one answers the phone to even put me on hold. The menu is complicated and does not list prices so They lost my business by neglecting my phone calls after several attempts when it’s listed they are open.

The only disturbing thing is you have to wait between 20 – 40 mins every time you come to this restaurant from 05:30 — 07:30 pm.

I will not be returning to this Red Lobster. Ever. The food was way too salty, to the point where I couldn’t even eat it. I also ordered a Mojito and it tasted like cough medicine (and I wish I was over exaggerating). The lemons inside my Mojito were black (I guess they’ve been sitting out for days maybe even weeks). The only reason I didn’t give this place one star is the manager. She was nice and responsible.

Overall we had a good dinner at Red Lobster although some things were not as good as we thought they should be.
I ordered the Seaside Shrimp trio and everything was good although a couple of the fried shrimp were a little too greasy. There was enough shrimp to take some home for another meal the next day.
Another person in our party ordered Tilapia cooked in a parchment bag with vegetables. We have gotten similar dishes frozen from the grocery store and found those to be light and not greasy. The Red Lobster version had way too much garlic butter in it and was too salty, although outside of these problems it had a pretty good flavor. We just expected it to be a lighter, non-​greasy dish.
Other people in our group had coconut fried shrimp and fried shrimp & fish and they found them to be good.
Service was good and we only had to wait about 5 minutes to be seated.
There was fairly loud rock music with unfamiliar tunes playing in the waiting area. This music was almost knock-​your-​socks-​off loud in the men’s restroom for some reason. Luckily in the dining room, the music was not obnoxiously loud.
I miss the nautical décor they had in the past. It seems like they are trying to be more trendy and modern with a remodeling job but I don’t like it as well.
Air conditioning was not up to par either, seemed somewhat too warm and stuffy.

Seafood is West Texas is not something you can particularly rely on. However, Red Lobster can temporarily fill the void. Be prepared to wait as this place is fairly unique to the region. The service is above average for the standards in this area. The rolls are delicious and one of a kind. Pretty much any entrée will be of high quality, I’ve never had something I didn’t like.

We visit red lobster regularly and while the food is good the service is ok. Just trying to get a seat is hard enough but we seem to always get passed up by couples that come later. Best bet for good service is the bar!

This place has an odor when you walk in. Not sure what it is, but it smells bad. The place is filthy. The glass on the wall partition was smeared and streaked. The restrooms look like they haven’t been cleaned in a couple of weeks. I met my wife and kids there to celebrate my nieces birthday (her choice). She said they seated her pretty quick, impressive seeing that we had a large party of 10 people. It was a busy Saturday afternoon so I can see why it may be dirty but what the heck is that smell at the entrance? I hope the food is decent. We shall see!

The female manager is incredibly rude. We waited an hour for a table… Not a big issue since we expected the wait and we had a large party. When I asked again how long it would be, a different hostess told me «She told you an hour and a half .» No she stated an hour, no need to be snippy! While standing less than 3 feet away from us, the hostess told the manager that she could put two tables together to seat us. The manager stated that she wanted to give the table to two couples who had walked in 10 minutes prior. The two stars are for our servers, who made the night redeemable with their prompt service and excellent attitudes!
Expect a wait, but don’t expect the manager to give a darn about anyone but herself.

The only star they get was for the service. Everything else suckeeedddd!!!
1) when you order 2 bottles of wine for your table one could expect some CLEAN glasses. these were nasty as hell. They were immediately replaced afer we brought this to the servers attention.
2) bread plates… wow…i finished my bread plate and handed it to the server under the plate and now all over my hand was a huge amount of ranch dressing, WTF is wrong with the dishwasher here? Is he high? Does noone from the dishwasher to the tables see this??? WOW!
3) STRIKE 3 mofos! Ur out!!! I will pay my bill, never complain, but it was obvious from my frustration that the meal was sucking and i was doubting the remainder to come… thought we would get a manager visit for sure… NOPE! No apologies, no discount, no offer for dessert… nothing at all!
Would never recommend, or come back!
