Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen

We have been twice both times great food and great service. I enjoyed the bacon cheese burger which was full of flavor. I had the steak and shrimp, the steak was perfectly cooked and the rice and beans was awesome.

We went here the other day, the first time at this particular cheddar. Everything was great, the appetizer and our meals. The waitress was also good

Great place for basic food and cheap drinks. The spinach dip is great; the tortilla soup, not so much. I had a good time with my nieces.

It was consistent with my benchmark Cheddars. Food was good, service was attentive, and the place seemed clean.

In retrospect I should have just left when I ordered a Sierra Nevada beer off the menu and had to reassure the bartender that it was, in fact, actually a real drink. A random, unordered salad showed up, but my shrimp did not. One of my sides was little more than a spoonful. When I notified the bartender of the missing shrimp, they appeared minutes later charred black. I won’t be back.

This location is great. The food was really good and the prices are very fair. The service was excellent as well.

Pros: inexpensive, looked like a nice sit down place but we did take out.
Cons: we called to place order to go and were transferred three times before getting to anyone. Hostess at the front wasn’t warm and welcoming, our full order wasn’t put in but luckily only the drink was missing. I ordered the Honey Dijon Chicken and it was VERY salty and overall everything tasted artificial, but maybe that’s to be expected?
My sister said a lot of people like this restaurant and it’s good when you dine in but I didn’t care for it. I would say you get what your pay for though and it is extremely inexpensive. My entrée was less than $ 10

Family favorites served here. Staff was attentive and prompt. My only minor objection is that food is excessively salty. I had the tilapia with mango salsa but I swear, it had to have been a teaspoon of salsa if that much.

This is a very generous two stars and the only thing rescuing this place is the cold, reasonably priced drinks. We were told a 20 – 25 minute wait and grabbed a drink from the bar and started to wait. At around 20 minutes we were sat, and this is where the enjoyable evening begin to take a turn for the worse. We ordered an appetizer and two entrees. Once the waitress took our order we did not see her again until our entrees were delivered. I asked about the status of our appetizer and she said she would go check, which I immediately said to ignore it. We again never saw her again until 10 minutes after eating our food and had to ask for our check, which was another 10 minute ordeal. Be sure to have plenty of time before venturing to this establishment.

I have eaten here about 5 times and found most of my experiences to be quite good. Only two of the times has the service been a little less than par but just because the people were very new.
All their food has been very good and have enjoyed everything I have eaten here. It is simple Americanized chain restaurant food that is all very good. They do have a pot pie which is extremely nice.
No complaints.

If your not sitting behind the bar, expect emails/​text/​phone calls to take priority over service, whole staff seemed more concerned about Facebook than the customers. Service has declined the last few months. Food remains decent and most of the time us served warm. Nothing fancy here.

Food was absolutely delicious!!! Best food I have had in west texas by far… I had sweet and hot shrimp and my girlfriend had tilapia and shrimp and both were amazing. Downfalls: waiter obviously didn’t care and it took us as long to get get our drinks as it did our food. Would come here again and recommend but only if it was like a date situation not really a family night where you wanna get in and out.

3stars for cleanliness, 2 for the wait staff, the worst part it was a slow day. Ordered ck fried steak more batter than meat, potatoes over salted but green beans were really nice. If i was to go again i wud Order something else

We were told a wait of an hour and forty five minutes was expected before we were seated. It actually was less as lots of people left before they were seated because of the long wait. But that was fair we were advised of the wait and we decided to stay.
I ordered sirloin steak and shrimp. Very low quality meat and shrimp. Ordered medium and got well done. Tasted macaroni and cheese, gravy, Caesar salad, Alfredo sauce and chicken, croissant, mashed potatoes, and fries. Everything tasted like frozen and instant food.
Under staffed. If they have the capacity for that many people they should have enough staff to take care of customers in a timely manner.
Very bad taste as they put on the bottom of the ticket how much you could tip based the amount of your ticket. I was a waiter in my younger days and I know that part of the tip is earned by the waiter and the other by the restaurant as a whole. It is called a gratitude for a reason. Very simple, if the service was good you get a good tip.

The best place to eat in Odessa… Hands down. Service was excellent… food portion was fulfilling… The taste was really good. I recommend their Combination. The reason why Im giving this place 5 stars is because my food experience has not been the fondest in Odessa… but you should

Is like any other chedders good food but the waiting God sometimes up to an hr… just so they can sit you down… so don’t go starving u faint before they sit u… even though sometimes the tables are empty…

So I visited my local Odessa Cheddars this evening for happy hour. They serve a decent margarita for a great price, and what about having some dinner to go along with it, my review goes as follows.
First the service, we were quickly seated considering that it was a Friday evening and the parking lot seemed full. Our waitress quickly approached us to take our drink order as well as the entrees. The service was fairly decent, I mean the waitress had her times where she didn’t drop by at least 15 minutes and we were in dire need of refills of water and sweet tea as well as Tabasco and chips for our dip. Putting this aside she did an ok job catering to our needs, quickly seated for a party of 10 and our food and beverage order was accurate so props for that!
Secondly the food, I ordered the Maui Margarita after a hot day and running errands at work so I thought this would be a nice refresher. The margarita was decent, a bit too watery, not much ice or a slush like it should be so to enjoy it cold you have to drink it quick, which led to the hunger in my opinion. Afterwards I ordered the Keywest Chicken and Shimp (not pictured) and the chicken was grilled well, as for the shrimp perhaps a little more time on the grill would make it more flavorful, thank goodness for the Tabasco. Any way to wrap my review up the food was decent, nothing too exciting to brag about.
OVERALL, THE FOOD, DRINKS AND ATMOSPHERE OF THIS PLACE GIVES YOU MORE FOR YOUR MONEY AND THE SERVICE IS FAIRLY GOOD, WOULD RECOMMEND IT IF YOUR CRAVING A TRADITIONAL AMERICAN SIT DOWN RESTAURANT! For that, great job Cheddars, I will be a casual customer dining at your casaul café.

Cheddars is right near Music City Mall and across the street from Buffalo Wallow. Bubba under-​rated this restaurant! We enjoyed our dinner very much. The Mac and cheese was very delicious, the sweet chili chicken and shrimp was yummy, and the Texas toast grilled cheese was excellent. Gran even paid!!! The restaurant was a little chilly inside given that it was 95 degrees outside. We also would have enjoyed the windows being more open to enjoy the beautiful flowers outside. Overall, we highly recommend!
