The fact that people either give this place 1 star or 5 stars clearly shows that the good reviews are coming from people who have something to gain! 5 stars are reserved for awesome places. I find it hard to believe that people think this place is soooo authentic. Really??? We know these 5 stars are coming from the owners or family. SMH

We tried this after purchasing a Groupon, and upon arrival realized it was a mistake. We ordered the calamari appetizer, and for $ 12.00 got a small plate of a fried mess — possibly the worst calamari I’ve had. My wife ordered a shrimp Po’ Boy and I had the Jambalaya — neither was impressive and clearly had little to do with New Orleans style cooking other than the name. I think this sports bar is trying to rebrand itself in an effort to pick up business, but there does not appear to be any chef behind the concept. The waitress was new, but tried her best — as with the other reviewer, they asked for our email and phone number to accept our Groupon.

We went here a few weeks as we love and are well versed in all things New Orleans and what a disappiontment. This should not be representing New Orleans. First off there is not Abita Beer available. Any place claiming alligence to New Orleans that can serve beer should have Abita products. We had the Roast Beef Po Boy with was in no way a proper Po Boy. It was served as a regular Roast Beef sandwich with deli meat. The menu did mention it came with a gravy but when the plate arrived there was not gravy let alone being properly ‘dressed’ as a Po Boy. I asked for Gravy and the bartender,(she was sweet) went back to the kitchen for a very long time. She came back out with a little plastic condiment container of a colorless, congealed substance that not surprisingly was flavorless. Clearly from a jar. My friend had the Jambalaya and all she could say about it was it was spicy. I tasted it as well and it was just so middle of the road that it wasn’t awful or could. All we say it was just spicy. Not sure who is affilated with this restaurant but I have to doubt they have any affiliation with New Orleans.

Let me start off by saying I have never had Cajun food, and never thought I would because I am a very picky eater. I came here with a couple co-workers for my first visit and spoke directly with the chef and asked him what he recommends for a picky first time Cajun diner… he suggested the jambalaya so I gave it a shot. All I can say is wow! It was so good I went back a few days later with my girlfriend and convinced her to get the jambalaya(so I could have some again but also so I could try something else!). This time I got the shrimp po boy-also delicious. Again, the chef was very helpful and the manager Travis was very friendly and checked up on us to make sure everything was to our liking. I will definitely be returning!

After seeing an add for this place, I bought a Groupon and went to check it out. I knew we were in trouble as soon as we walked in the front door. It more resembles a sports bar than a New Orleans café. There was no one to seat us or wave us over to the bar or tell us to get out, just 3 guys sitting at a small table and a couple playing pool. After we were seated, the waitress brought menu’s to our table that were from the sandwich shop next door. She eventually brought us a piece of paper to the table with 8 or 9 «cajun» meal choices. I tried to order an amber beer, but after naming 4 alternatives and being told they didn’t have any of them I settled for a Bud Light. When I wanted a refill, I had to waive down our waitress, who now had no other customers in the place except us. When our food arrived, they screwed up one order and had to take it back to the sandwich shop to get it straight. We had no utensils and when we asked for some, our waitress returned to our table with 2 plastic spoons for 4 diners. I asked for a fork and after waiting several minutes was given a plastic one as well. The food was decent, but not great and definitely not good enough to make up for the horrible service. 2 of us ordered the gumbo. It was ok, but was very dry and«ricey». I ordered shrimp and grits. It was hot and the sausage was spicy, but their idea of cheddar grits was to melt cheese over the top of them in the oven(at the sandwich shop). This rendered the grits dry and greasy. The diner whose food had to be returned had ordered a BLT and was brought a turkey sub, i’m not sure how that mistake happened. In the end, it got even worse, as our waitress asked for phone numbers and email addresses in order to honor our Groupon. Needless to say at this point, we will not be going back nor will anyone else we have a chance to tell about the place ahead of time.

This restaurant is great! The jambalaya is fantastic and the staff actually had some personality. Since I was in a New Orleans mood I ordered a hurricane and it was pretty close to the one I had in the Big Easy. Highly recommended

The bar does it again by giving the place a face lift in the menu and approach to make the customers happy. The new menu is great with a New Orleans kick that would make a southerner come back for more. Great beer and wine specials. daily events and activities the keep you coming back. Friday karoke nights are a hit and Sunday football is the best to watch there. With over 10HD televisions to watch the game. The staff is always friendly and management is always willing to go above and beyond to suit the customer. I’ll be back for sure

Not sure what food my fellow Unilocaler had but I have personally had almost every new dish and it was hot and yummy. Come in and see for yourself I guess :)

They had 6 – 7 items on the Cajun menu on plain paper. Jambalaya was tasteless and not even hot but warm. Wings were good but anyone can deep fry wings and sauce them. I would never go back or recommend this place. The owner should learn to taste the food before his staff sends it out with his name on it.
