Sizzler

I was sad when the restaurant closed — and then Sizzler came back and I am happy to be a frequent customer again!
My senior salad bar suits me to a *T* … and I like that they have club soda to replace the soda that I should not drink. Thank you, SIZZLER!
The staff and manager (s) are always very nice to me.
I sort of have a set order of what I take to eat and I eat what I take.
My only problem is the unsupervised children — who touch but don’t always take what they touch.
Alas, SIZZLER is still a fav of mine!

Loved the remodel. Place looked great and clean. Steak and vegs were properly cooked and service was great. Good deal for the price. Perfect for families

This is an excellent restaurant. I’ve eaten here many times over the years and the meals have consistently been very good.

One of the worst sizzlers out there. Terrible service and very mediocre food for $ 14.99 on lunch??? Couldn’t find staff for a refill or even my intial coke. Never going to any sizzler again.

Everything here is fresh and clean. Hubby always orders the rib eye meal and it always is cooked extremely rare as he prefers. I get the salad bar and love the Kale salad and Caesar salad as well as all of the other crisp fixings. Lots of hot choices as well. Service is great too. Leo is a rockstar and always makes us feel welcome. See you next time Sizzler!

I’ve always enjoyed this Sizzler location better than others. I think the green sign means corporate owned and the red sign means franchise but I could be wrong. Their food is really fresh and the server (Mario?) is super nice. Lots of parking and clean restrooms. I used to go almost once a week but now that I moved I stop by when I might have a coupon for their salad bar.

Ordered New York Steak, it was great. Salad bar looked amazing and the server Leo was very nice. What got my attention was the girl and the man (I think was the manager at the register) were very inattentive at the point that the staff said «Thank you» at the end and we passed by the manager, he did not acknowledge us at all.

I went there for the first time and loved it, Leo was an amazing server and he has a positive attitude something that should be in every restaurant i go to.

Best fresh choices without added dressings or sauces! Especially when you look for fresh fruit for dessert to go with fresh salads. Close to home, work and usual shopping North County. Friendly, prompt service and we like not having to wait for the server. .pay, buffet, eat.

Salad was really good. Well stocked and our waitress was very nice. We had the shrimp for a main course and I was a bit surprised how good it was all in all. The lady at the front wasn’t that great. She was supposedly training a new hire. Felt sorry for the new hire. The price is good. Would recommend eating there.

Went in for lunch because my daughter was awarded a free kid’s meal from school.
Went in for lunch with my wife and two daughters (11 & 8). All four of us got salad bar and a drink.
Salad was fresh with a good number of varied toppings. The hot food was average at best. The worst part was the price! No lunch prices so salad bar was same as dinner and severely overpriced ($ 12.49). Soft drinks are also significantly more expensive than competitors at $ 2.79. In the end since kids cutoff is under 10, I bought 3 adult salad bars and 4 drinks and total was about $ 45.00. For $ 24.99 (2 adults and 2 kids with drinks) with a coupon they will give you at restaurant Souplantation is a FAR better choice about a mile and a half down the road for salad.
Not likely to go back for just salad again. I’ll stick to Souplantation for more selection and better hot items at a MUCH better price.

I’ve had lunch here about 6 times, by myself. I have only gotten their salad/​soup bar.

The restaurant was clean and the salad bar was well stocked. It just wasn’t stocked with very good food. Service was a 2 and food was a 2. This place is cheap and all you can eat which are its only talking points that I could find.
The salad bar contained a few sections. A salad section, taco bar, comfort food and dessert. I went for the actual salad portion and was a bit disappointed. It was only $ 12.45 for the dinner time unlimited.
Unfortunately I went for the actual salad portion of the salad bar and the veggie selection was pretty limited. Lettuce, tomato, cucumber, olives, shredded carrot, pickled beets and that about it. Their Ranch dressing was decent.
The taco bar portion was a sad version of taco bell and the nacho cheese had that layer of skin created by heat lamps and sitting idle too long. Not very appetizing. Once I broke through the skin crust the cheese was really thick slightly transparent.
The comfort food section contained some chicken wings fried hard and dry throughout. Potato wedges were dry as well. Mac and cheese was a small step above Kraft but not quote as good as Stouffers frozen.
I didn’t try the desserts but there was soft serve, an apple cobbler dish, bread pudding and a banana cream dish.
Service was average to poor. I don’t expect great service at an establishment like this but we never had out drinks refilled. My date got up and asked management and we got a refill as he was finishing off his ice cream.

I wasn’t really sure what to rate as I love this place but will not be coming back. My favorite was the half dozen jumbo shrimp that comes with salad bar. The fried shrimp is usually very very delicious although this last time we went the batter was not cooked thoroughly. I was embarrassed to say anything but I did. I was given another plate of shrimp but I was scared that they would be the same. The other plate was sitting in front of me the whole time and I just became very disgusted. I didn’t eat after that. I didn’t even eat anything from the salad bar! I think the waitress was frustrated since she didn’t seem to care much about how I felt about the uncooked batter on my shrimp. It was a complete waste and will not be returning. The strawberry lemonade was good…

I had never been at a Sizzler before, but I had seen Anthony Bourdain eat there during an LA episode and thought that I wanted to try this place if I ever found myself in a situation where there’s nothing non-​chain-​y around.
So we just stopped for a night in Oceanside on a roadtrip and found ourselves in a Motel 6 right across the street from this Sizzler. I knew it was now or never.
The place was almost empty, since it was an hour before closing, but we were greeted very nicely and picked out our order. I was not aware how MASSIVE this salad bar is, otherwise I would have skipped the steak. It turned out that the steak was not a highlight anyway. I wanted it medium and got it well done, my side of riblets was burned… but I didn’t want to send it back, because there was so little time left. So I dug into the salad bar offerings and was more than rewarded. Wow! I liked that they had non-​mayonais-​y (yes I know, I do that «thing-​y» a lot today) salads like edamame and chickpea etc. Also the leaf lettuces were nice and crisp as if they had just been put there — half hour before closing… I didn’t even start on the spaghetti, tacos and other hot foods, but they looked good!
Service was very nice and attentive, although they started cleaning up around our table while we were still eating.
All in all, great salad bar, not so great meat. When I see a Sizzler next time and have no other places to go, I will surely get the salad bar experience again (my tipp: don’t fill up on the bread basket!!!).

Clean restaurant with a courteous and friendly staff, the salad bar was well stocked but the desert bar was limited to only two deserts. I ordered a chopped steak cooked medium for lunch, the meat came cooked very well done I sent it back and the second one was cooked to my perfection. The price was reasonable which included all you can eat salad bar. I would go back again and recomend it to someone with a hefty appetite and limited budget.

Best Sizzler we’ve ever been to. We’ve been to at least 10 across CA. Excellent service. The salad bar is premium. Bread pudding for dessert. Clean.

A good standard. I’ve always received good food and service with a good value in price/​food. We arrived apparently in the nick of time because we were immediately seated, whereas when we left the line was out the door. I had the fish & chips, a standard dish. The fish was good but the fries were meh. I expected the larger fries and received the fast food fries. I rarely leave fries behind, but this time I did. It was my sister’s birthday and they brought out a small sundae with a candle. Nice, but not over the top. The service was good, but not outstanding. This is a good place to go, cuz you get the expected, it’s a not above Applebee’s and on par with Outback.
There was no WiFi, and that bothers me that places do not have that. Yes, I know, I should be paying attention to those around me, I do. But I want to review the place while I am there.
I’ll be back I am sure, but it will be a while.
