Great authentic Mexican food! Love the carne Assad nachos and green sauce enchiladas!

One of the best inexpensive Mexican food places around. Everything is good but my favorites are their breakfast burrito and carne asada fries. If you’re a salsa person they make great salsa

Such a great place! We came from the Bay and it’s been hard to find food this good. The service is amazing and we’d come back just for that. But the menudo and Cali burrito were outstanding. Great salsa bar. I recommend without reservations.

Great burritos and a great price, breakfast is bomb. The lady is so nice there, she kind of feeds my ego as well as my appetite. Service is quick and helpful. Salsa is good, too. Big menu, need to try more stuff.

By far the best breakfast burrito anywhere! Tortilla is perfect and the service is on point. There is the sweetest woman working there you can’t help but smile when she says hi.

The food here is amazing but even if it was just ok I would still come back here just to see the woman behind the register! She is absolutely amazing! So nice and makes every single customer feel like family! The salsa and chip bar is awesome! And I order enchilada sauce on EVERYTHING because it’s amazing!

The chicken is delicious. Try the chicken tacos! (The woman who takes your order, is really nice.)

We just moved to Oceanside and were trying to find a good authentic Mexican restaurant. This place is located in a shopping center so it’s easy to miss. My husband and I are super happy we found this gem. The food and customer service are great. The women at the counter are absolutely friendly and welcoming to everyone. I witnessed them help out a handicapped man in grabbing his chips and salsa, that to me shows that they care about customers and making it a good experience for everyone that comes in. We loved the food and plan on making this place our go to Mexican restaurant.

One of best California burritos I’ve ever had and I’ve had plenty of them! My girlfriend and I were looking for a good Mexican food restaurant in the Oceanside area instead of driving down to Chula Vista or Bonita and thankfully we found Mi Asador. We walked in and were greeted by one of their workers who also works the cash register most of the time. The service here is great! There are friendly employees who make sure everything is going well.
The carne asada in the burrito was really well seasoned and delicious on its own. The portions are huge!!! For about $ 7.50 per burrito the size of it is great. It’s a steal that they’re so big. The guacamole was also really great.
They also have free chips that you can get yourself and a salsa bar with a variety of salsas. I recommend this place to anyone hungry for some good Mexican food!

Good job Mi Asador!!! A city rating so that’s a big plus even before entering. Super clean once inside and the friendly smiling faces were awesome! :)
Also well cooked Carne Asada!

I give this Mexican strip mall place two stars (rather than 1) because it is inexpensive to the point of being cheap. That said, so often in life, you get what you pay for and this is no exception!
My chicken chimichanga did have chicken in it but not a lot, but that is fine because it had a tired looking, unappetizing look and color and no flavor at all and I didn’t eat it. My wife’s Carne Asada quesadilla likewise had no flavor and she said the meat had the appearance of having been frozen beef slices (Philly cheesesteak-​like) in a former life. We considered trying to spice it up with sauces etc, but they were all open to the many people before us grabbing and touching the chips and the salsa etc. we had to try the hot sauce (again open in a dish) but to no avail. We left with a greasy after-​taste in our mouths and almost all of the food left on the table untouched.
Drove back to the hotel for a pizza and something to take the taste away. All that said — if you want cheap food, this is hard to beat for quantity and price so long as you don’t mind sacrificing taste and flavor.

The best Mexican food I have ever had in SoCal hands down !! Ask about the California Wet burrito!!!

Our go-​to place for takeout Mexican food.
There is a huge menu and everything is delicious. My favorite is the Carne Asada Grande Burrito (it easily feeds me for 2 meals). My husband likes their California burrito. We also really like the self-​serve chip and salsa bar.
The owner is very friendly. Always making our experience enjoyable.

Easily the cleanest Mexican restaurant I’ve ever been too. Also best self serve drink station in a restaurant I’ve seen. Salsa bar has several types of salsa & each one I tried was excellent. I order the chicken tostada. Very good. As was my shrimp cocktail. If I could give them 6 I would. Seriously !

Excellent service. The lady taking your order is ALWAYS super friendly and accommodating. She always has a smile on her face! I LOVE IT!
The food portions here are huge and yummy! Not bad in price either!
I usually get the two cheese enchiladas and double rice.
Right next to the condiment station is a «chip machine» it sort of looks like an old school popcorn machine that you would see at a carnival, but it has freshly made tortilla chips! Such a great idea!
The location is in the very corner of a small shopping center, next to the Phở’ place.
This is our go to fast food Mexican place, since it is only 5mins away from my marine’s place!

Ok now this is straight up memory lane. I remember going here when I was in elementary school riding my bike threw the dirt area which is now a school. Fat little chubby kid going to get a machaca burrito and a chicken chimichanga with beans in it.
The place has only gotten better over time. The carne asada fries they use steak fries= amazing. The only thing i would say is there about 1 of the high priced mexican shops in town. I pay it for sure but just keep in mind the quality is higher than your traditional robertos.

Was looking for a New Mexican food joint to eat at for lunch and found this one on Unilocal.I have had my fair share of Mexican food and so far this one is the best between El Bronco and Valerie’s. I had the carne asada fries and rolled tacos. The rolled tacos were decent, I’m not a huge rolled tacos fan but for some reason I wanted to eat them today. As well I ordered the carne asada fries which were pretty good. There wasn’t a lot for the price you have to pay. I probably wouldn’t order it again but I’m definitely down to try a burrito and nachos or something next time. They have a legit salsa bar that comes with free chips that you can grab yourself. The service was fast and great. The cashier lady was super nice.

I came here with a friend during our lunch break. The food was average. I order the Carne Asada fries. It’s only my prefernce, but I would have liked thinner fries instead of the chunky ones that they serve.
I am giving an overall 4 stars because the service was AWESOME! The cashier was so super friendly that she put me in a good mood. She even brought our food to us, when I’m pretty sure she could’ve just called out my order to get it picked up. She was always smiling and she definitely seemed to know her regulars!

I CANNOT say enough good things about the service a Mi Asador. My boyfriend lives right up the street so since he’s been healing at home, it’s been really convenient to call ahead and place and order and drive three minutes down the road.
There are usually two women there. One is very sweet and quiet, she doesn’t speak English fluently and she will usually call the other woman over when I start becoming too confusing, I get it, I talk fast when im excited about food. The other girl. Seriously maybe an angel? She is THE NICEST person in the world. I don’t know her name but if you talk to her you’ll know exactly who I’m talking about. She’s kind to everyone in the store, calling me «lovey» and telling me to have a very wonderful day every time.
The salsa bar is probably my favorite part besides the fact they made the biggest and best burritos ever :)
