Fiesta Mexicana

Chips and salsa complimentary was good. Ran out of modelo especial so I got the modelo negro. Ordered sopes dinner: one chicken and (I thought) one carnitas. But I’m pretty sure they gave me beef instead.
Service was good and friendly. Not usually in the area so will try a different place next time.

My husband and I love coming here! There is literally nothing on there menu that we haven’t liked, everything always tastes fresh and more authentic than most, not to mention they make some pretty amazing fresh drinks like lemonade, watermelon, cantaloupe, and pineapple yes I’ve tried them all! It’s a nice little neighborhood Mexican Restaurant and very friendly staff!

My Boyfriend and I decided to try Fiesta Mexicana for the first time last night, only a few minutes away from our house we were curious to try after reading some of the Unilocal reviews (the décor is too mismatched, foods great 2 stars… some people are ridiculous) we decided to be the judge. We were greeted quickly by friendly staff, sat in a clean and adequately lit booth and décor was very typical Mexican restaurant with bright colors and festive décor. Our server was helpful and polite, and the food was tasty. For a quick, quiet, Mexican meal not served through a drive thru I highly recommend it. Portions were large and prices were just right. Thank you for being another great eatery in the neighborhood, I’m mad at myself for waiting this long to give it a shot.

My family and I came here Friday night for the first time. I can honestly say that I will never go back… and here are all of the reasons why.
1) As we sat in the waiting area for a table, there were several carts of food in the hallway/​walkway waiting to be delivered to tables. That’s unsafe and unsanitary since customers and employees are continually walking past them.
2) This place is so disorganized. Not only did servers accidentally try and drop off other people’s food to us, our own waitress came back and said, «what did you order again?». When they did finally bring our food, the waitress said, «Did you order a drink?». Yes, my husband ordered a margarita when we ordered our food. After waiting all that time, he said forget it.
3) While not terrible food, there is far better Mexican food elsewhere. My husband’s chicken chimichanga was 90% beans and 10% chicken. The Mexican rice was bland, the salsa was decent, but needed salt.
The reason for 2 stars and not 1 is because the prices were very reasonable. I should have stayed and waited for a parking space at my favorite Mexican place, but impatiently wandered off to try a new place. Huge mistake.
FYI: They don’t have a full liquor license, so they only serve margaritas made from wine :(

Two words best summarize the overall experience here: dingy and delicious.
I ordered the crema enchiladas and my best friend had the arroz con pollo. Both are absolutely delicious and done to perfection. Both weee also served hot. However, it was clear that the vegetables in the arroz con pollo were not fresh but previously frozen. That was clear because all the vegetables were diced the exact same size and shape.
Service was very friendly but somewhat slow especially considering there was probably only a total of 12 people in a restaurant that would easily fit 80 or more.
The reason for the two stars is because this place was a complete hodgepodge — decoration and ambience wise. Please see the photos for a visual. A restaurant having a really eclectic themed ambiance is one thing if that’s the look what they’re going for but this was just a total mishmash of a whole variety of items that were mostly really old and worn out, having the appearance that they came from a garage sale.
.. .. here’s where the dingy part comes into play: the décor that was close enough to see (please refer to attached photos) was not only completely dilapidated and falling apart but was extremely dirty. One of the attached photos is of a wide straw ribbon that was attached to a wreath of some sort made of silk flowers that literally looked like it came out of a suburban kitchen circa 1980s. Take a good look at that photo it is absolutely covered in thick dust. I was stunned.
Of note, for a restaurant that claims to be vibrant, it was completely silent inside. No piped in music. Just crickets.

Everything I ate was greasy and heavy. I wasn’t a huge fan of the food at all. My husband has been here a few times but proximity won’t bring me back.
This place may have potential, it’s family run so I do feel bad for the review, but i like other places better :(

Restaurant is huge, it has ample room for fam and friends! But the food is another story! The food was just so plain and boring! I got there and was craving something good, I ordered fish fillet stuffed with shrimp, cheese, crab what I got was a plain fillet stuffed with the above mentioned but absolutely no flavor, it didn’t taste bad it just didn’t taste like anything at all! The flavor was of deep fried oil! My girlfriend ordered seafood enchiladas with green salsa, she tasted the dish and within a few bites set «nope» she returned the dish. I asked if she wanted anything else and before she could answer the server said «oh I don’t think she will like anything! «And with that we got the bill, paid and left a tip …

I just moved nearby and decided to try this place. The service was great. The food portions were large and delicious. Please take in mind that I’m Hispanic. This place gets my stamp of approval.

The negative comments are a joke.
Been going to this place for a while and not once have they been rude! Customer service is beyond excellent here! the food is great :) go to mcdonalds and spend less quit bitching this is a sit in place obviously it’s going to cost more

U guys are garbage I usually follow Unilocal.I had a lady block me sayin u guys close at 830 pm today.

The waitresses are extremely rude. I keep thinking just maybe they would be nice this time.
The waitresses were also mean to a mentally ill woman. She will never go back and I will never return either. The food was great but they were not generous with their salsa.

We decided to go enjoy some Mexican food for lunch. Not sure of where we were going we found ourselves here (we live close by). So in we go,
The staff made us feel comfortable immediately and the chips & salsa were at the table almost before we got there. The Enchiladas Suizas were awesome and the albondiga caldo «muy delicioso».

BEWARE: disappointed is how i felt after leaving. definitely not worth the 26 $ bill for all canned ingredients. You will be disappointed coming here, it’s a fact. I got the Spanish omelet which had canned stewed tomatoes poured on top. When I asked the waitress if I could add mushrooms she asked if I minded they were canned. …no bueno. We should had walked out at that point. Don’t waste your $$ here

This is a very nice place with an eclectic but authentic Oaxaca Mexican atmosphere. The shrimp enchiladas were delicious — I’ll get them again. The chicken mole negro is very tasty, a little thin and on the sweet side compared to other moles I’ve had. Service is good, prices affordable.

Great service, food and environment. The comfortable booths and tables are set so there can be lots of people, but it is still quiet enough to hear the others at your table. Ah, peace!

My whole family including my, in-​laws, and 12 month old got sick after eating here: vomiting, diarrhea, aches, pains, and sweats.
She was one of the food runners and we didn’t notice she was sick until after our meal. She had that nice fatigued sweating look of being ill and we all just thought «oh great a free side order of germs»
Management should keep a better eye on sick employees. Obviously we will never be back.

I love place. What more can I say.
Food is consistently good. I’ve tried a variety of items from enchiladas, soups, ceviche, burritos and I’m sure other things I can’t remember. Everything has always been served in a timely manner, tasteful and a great price. Great complimentary chips and salsa too.
The staff is very kind and goes out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and happy with food and service. This restaurant is never crowded. Give it a try if your in the area!

Fiesta Mexicana is renewing my faith in Mexican food!
After years living in SoCal, I couldn’t eat anymore Mexican food. But, my boyfriend continues to insist. Fiesta Mexicana has delicious Oaxacan food, crazy décor, and very nice servers.
If you love dumbed down American-​Mexican fast food, you might not like it. If you love fresh, homemade, authentic flavors, you might not go anywhere else.

I come here quite a bit and my work sometimes has events here. Food is good for the cost. They have vegetarian options. Great service. Food is always hot and fast. They have some things I don’t usually see at other Mexican restaurants which I really love: guaraches and sopes! I also enjoy their cheese enchiladas and their huge tostada with veggies. You really can’t complain. Reasonable prices and good food. :)
