We arrived for dinner at around 7 and it seemed to be bit after their dinner rush. We were told we were getting the next table and the host gave it a family that came in after us, clearly a family that wasn’t there earlier to ask for the next available. After we were seated, we sat at a table and waited for it to be cleaned for about 10 minutes. When the server came she cleared it off and was very friendly. The sodas took an unusual amount of time to come out for such a small place. We ordered appetizers and sandwiches. We received bread after 30 minutes of ordering and then 45 minutes for just onion rings and coconut shrimp. The shrimp was pretty good, nothing amazing. The onion rings were incredibly greasy. We ate them regardless because at that point we were starving. We then sat and waited an additional 45 minutes for 4 sandwiches. For waiting as long as we did, the food was nowhere near worth it. The food wasn’t bad but it was nothing to tell friends about. We weren’t impressed to ever think to return there.

I really struggled with this one. Positives: We walked in a little early for lunch, and pretty much had our choice of seating in the small restaurant. Service was friendly and non-pushy. We are a soup /chowder family, so we got the She-crab soup and the Maryland crab soup. The she-crab is a cream base and the other one is a tomato base. Both were delicious, though I am partial to creamy chowders. Meh’s: I am a crab-cake aficionado, and promptly went for it. My wife picked the shrimp/lobster cake sandwich. My crabcake was positively not fresh. The meat tasted a little sour, and I didn’t feel comfortable proceeding with it. My wife’s shrimp/lobster cake sandwich was not bad… but it had too much potato filling in it — left us very underwhelmed and unimpressed. I can’t imagine that a place with such a yummy pair of soups could turn out such a ‘meh’ pair of sandwiches… I guess it could be an odd mistake… I did mention the crabcake not tasting okay to the waitstaff, and surprisingly, all he said was«I will let the chefs know»… We are not the ‘litiguous’ type… so we let it go at that.

My wife and I decided to try this new resturant after downloading a coupon off the web. The food and service were both excellent. We started our meal with A cup of cream of crab soup, which is thier signature soup. The soup was excellent, next time I am getting a bowl. The soup was server with warm Bennie’s rolls with oil and pesto. Bennies is a local bakery known for good rolls. My wife had the Jumbo broiled shrimp with side of stewet tomatoes and sweet potato fries which was also excellent. I had the crab cake sandwich with a side of French fries and cole slaw. The crab cake was served on a Benny’s rollwith a side of French fries and cole slaw. Everything was really tasty. the crab cake had large pieces of crab with plenty of filler to hold it together. We had the Key lime pie for dessert. This was also wonderful, most places don’t serve authentic key lime pie, but this place does. It was a little creameier that the key lime pies most are used to but the flavor is dead on and excellent. We definately plan on stoping In again and we are definately getting the soup and pie again
