Not worth the money. Management does not care. The room was OK, but the TV clicker did not work, and a bulb was out. The room had no chest of drawers, so I could not unpack our suitcase… was I supposed to live out of suitcase in case of a vacation stay? my side of bed had no night stand — very inconvenient. The fridge was old and hummed loud. The worst was the fact, that we came to spend Christmas, and somehow, the management and the whole area decided, that if there is no snow, they need not care. We came on December 25th at 2 pm — thinking we will have a Christmas dinner in the hotel, as it stated there is a restaurant right there. There was, but they closed, because there were only 6 guests — so why bother. The problem was, that the desk boy had no information where there was an open restaurant… and since we did not know the area, we did not find one. What a PR for a recreational spot !!! Next morning my husband wanted to use the gym, but that was locked till 8 am, and needed a special card anyway — all that for 3 machines ? With tax the night cost us $ 240– ! Really not worth it. We left a day earlier, as we felt unwanted.

The rooms are owned by individuals. Room 312 was simply cheap and small. The«second loft bedroom» had a couch. Yep — that’s it. No tables, no TV, no dresser, no phone, no clock. A cheap pull out couch. That was it. $ 300 a night! The«kitchenette«was a $ 9 toaster, microwave, and a $ 10 coffee pot. Dang — even hotel 6 has keurigs! We blocked off the balcony door with the couch because it was so wobbly, we were afraid one of the kids would lean against it and fall to their death. I was and still am shocked at this«suite». Some of them seem much nicer. Don’t get stuck with this lemon of a room! The counter tops were laminate — geez, how much could it cost to pit in 6 inches of granite? In a word, we were ripped off. The rest of the resort was nice and the deck leading to the lake was gorgeous. I think the last straw was when I went over to see if the restaurant was open at 700 am. It wasn’t and I found out my key card didn’t work. They don’t have staff from 1000 pm till 800 am. Ended up sitting outside for 20 min until a housekeeping staff member came by and let me in. The emergency on call person didn’t call back until after I finally got back in. My parents room was nicer so not a total loss. Never again.

Hubby took me here for a post surgery recovery trip. We went in May which was still considered off season. It was very quiet and relaxing. We could tell there were other people staying in the building but never really saw anyone else. Had the whole place to ourselves it seemed during the evenings. Beautiful lake views. Fishing was great. Quiet and serene. Has a decent game room. Nice lobby area and quiet area on the second floor with board games.

1st time a DCLMD. The employees are really helpful and polite. The rooms are very clean and big. Rented a suite and was very pleased. Room has refrigerator, microwave, two TVs, big bathroom, decent living room and a king size bed in a spacious room. Living area big enough for my wife to do her yoga. Right off the lake and close to Swallow Falls state park. Complete with its own bar, restaurant, workout room and DVD movie box. Two more nice things about this place was they give a military discount and security. After 8pm you need a key card just to get in the place.
