For a local grocer and a quick need, Arrowhead fits the bill. Man are they overpriced though. Hot dogs for $ 5.99! Ouch. They actually would have gotten a higher rating had the cashier not been such a surly bitter woman though. No hello, no how are you, no chit chat or any kind of friendly gesture that you would expect from a small town market. It was actually quite surprising. I have to assume these places exist solely because of tourism, but when you are rude to the patrons, how many are willing to return? Not a great experience overall.

If it weren’t for the amazing breakfast sandwiches, we wouldn’t go to arrowhead as often as we do. The customer service is not the best. Three of the ladies that work in the deli are very rude. It’s amazing what a smile could do.

Certainly the most over-priced mini-market in the tri-state area. Arrowhead owners have a gold mine here and they know it. Nonetheless, it’s popular and always busy. If you’re on the lake, boat over and tie up at the dock. It can be crowded, but maybe less chaotic than the small parking/gas pump area. We’ve been boating over to get breakfast sandwiches and coffee for as long as I can remember. They’re pricey, but the perfect greasy morning treat. Try the Bomber. We’ve had some shady experiences with weighed foods. A breakfast order of three creamed chip beef(Stouffers brand — I watched them heat it) over toast(priced by weight) were wildly different in portion size, but the employee weighed the biggest one and printed out three identical price tickets. My FIL called him out on it, and he looked like that cat who ate the canary. If you need something fast and don’t mind paying double the cost, this is the place for you.

If you’re looking for a mini-market that has a little more… you got it. If you’re looking for a grocery store drive 50 miles, cause this area does not have a decent one. For the person who compared it to Whole Food… I assume you’ve never been to one. There is not one organic item in the whole store. The corn on the cob was a week old and the baked goods were old as well. The prices are insane! Not sure who would pay that much for conventionally grown produce. The employees seemed clueless or maybe in some sort of a fog when I asked if they had organic food. Can’t review the deli counter because we don’t eat meat. I have no opinion on that. This place seems to fit well in this backwards county. Oh and the parking is awful, the handicap spot is not even regulation!

It’s like a mini-mart on steroids. I guess a small grocery store is more like it, since it has a legit deli counter and fresh food that you can eat on the premises(they have tables inside and outside). Great place to pick up some snacks or lunch that you can bring on a hike with you. Also a great place to BUYALCOHOL(except on Sundays)!!! YAY! You MUST go here if you’re ever in the area.

Yesterday I purchased take out items, romano crusted chicken, pasta fiesta salad, fried chicken leg and wing, twice baked potatoes and a carton of vanilla and chocolate ice cream. Most of these were disappointing. The romano chicken was very dry and bland. the potatoes did not seem to be cooked even once, let alone twice, they wer hard and virtually inedible. The ice cream seemed to have been melted and refrozen since the consistency was uneven and icy. The fried chicken and the pasta salad were acceptable, but not outstanding. I will not be back for take out from Arrowhead.

Best. Convenience Store. Ever. Except for the prices. It’s like 7 – 11 on crack. Booze, wine, chips, sandwiches, they have it all! But 4.69 for a dinky box of crackers is a little much. Just stick to small purchases.

The absolute best convenience store in existence. If you’re at the lake and realized that you forgot something, this is the place to go. Arrowhead also usually has one of the best prices on gas in the area.

This place is great if you only need a few items… better than driving to Oakland to the Wal-Mart(which can be quite the experience seeing the locals) They have a pretty extensive wine/beer/liquor section. Was pretty pricey for just a tooth brush and toothpaste but its a cute place worth visiting.

Visiting Deep Creek Lake and you just realized that you forgot something? Toothbrush? Deodorant? Whatever it is that you might need while staying at the Lake, this is one of the places that you can get it. They have everything in here! It’s a deli, so they carry a good deal of food and alcohol. Located very near to the Honi-Honi Bar PROS: Convenient; One-stop-shop for all necessities and some of the crap that you totally didn’t need; They sell booze here, too. The store, itself, is very clean and well kept CONS: Convenience pricing Restrooms(for public use) were awful!!!
