I don’t know what happened but they’re making small burritos(half the size of Mi Ranchito) and it’s not worth $ 6 bucks(no cheese, guac, crema). Still tasty but not worth the stop.

I’ve read some of the reviews about soggy tortillas. OFCOUrSE they are bcs they are not microwaved they are also placed on top of the meat or the grill where the meat is being made, that’s what gives to the flavor. If you’re coming in here to get a healthy dinner or worried about your fingers full of greased, or your tortilla breaking you shouldn’t be in Oakland to begin with –____– there are other things you should be worried about in the streets of Oakland. You’re doing too much. This place is Hit and it’s cheap!

BESTTACOSEVER. nothing even comes close. Authentic mexican tacos at there finest. Great prices and fast service. Been goin here since I was a kid and they still taste amazing everytime. I would reccomend the Chorizo tacos or the lengua. And you have time go to the taco truck on the oposite end for the fish tacos. Those are the bomb.

So far this is my favorite place in Oakland for taco truck food… DELICIOUS. I wish it was closer to my house so I can go there more often. I always get carne asada and lengua tacos. My boyfriend always gets the carne asada burrito.

The tacos are definitely A-OK but not really worth driving out to East Oakland for. I got a mixture of Al Pastor, Carne Asada, and a Pollo taco(they had run out of carnitas). The Al Pastor was really dry, the pollo was fine, and the carne asada was good. I like the salsa that they give you. When it comes down to it, this place isn’t worth going out over Taqueria Sinaloa, which seems safer, has seats, and better al pastor.

I hand the Al pastor and lengua tacos. The tacos were tasty but were breaking down with all the moisture in the tacos. There was way too much salsa on mine and meat juice that it was dripping everywhere while I was trying to eat it.

Amazing tacos. The carne asada is spiced perfectly and the tortillas are lightly fried so that they hold up well but aren’t too greasy. Also the red salsa is a little spicy but doesn’t overpower the flavor if the meat. Some of the best tacos I’ve had in the bay area

Holy Shit@!! A vision. Grullense is the bomb. I first had these in 1993. I was doing a job for some peeps nearby and they fed me lunch of these delectable tacos. Ever since, I motored down from West Oakland day and night, whenever the whim hit me. I was never disappointed. This is the most sublime taco I know. It’s only rival I had in Mexico City in ’87. It’s all about the proportions. Yes, the ingredients have to be right, but the perfection is getting the right combo of flavors in a minimal unit, along with the right temperature– which is to say eat me right now! Grullense is the most perfect taco I ever knew. the secret of all things is making the difficult look easy. These cats achieve it.

I’ve been going to this place ever since I was old enough to eat tacos! I remember first eating tacos with just the meat on it(none of the onions, cilantro, salsa) until I graduated to just meat and salsa and now in the last 10 or so years, I’ve had them loaded with all the fixings… so good! In all these years, the taste has been consistently good and always hits the spot. I sadly no longer live in CA, but I always hit up this truck whenever I visit Oakland! I really wish they had a truck out here in WA!

«a steak taco». it doesn’t sound like much. it doesn’t strike you with any sudden rush of excitement. no, a steak taco is just a steak taco. BUT, ahoy! or… alas, or whatever shock value word you want to use, STEAKTACOS from Mi Grullense Taco Truck are thee shiznet. OHEMGEE. and don’t try the«super» steak tacos, you might just insert inappropriate verb here. They are that good! actually, if I continue to review these damn tacos, I might just have to make a trip to my favorite truck tonight, like right now … **don’t let the hood neighborhood scare you. there’s great food here! p.s — additionally, my friend let me try his torta yesterday and it was delicious.(disclaimer, not as good as their steak tacos)

Right across the street from my school, I love this place and their $ 1.25 tacos. Carnitas are seriously the BEST. Or just their vegetarian quesadillas($ 5). Carnitas. man. the carnitas.

A relative newbie to the food truck movement, but lately, ever since the economy took that horrid nosedive and suddenly, even leaving a decent tip has become somewhat of an issue. Well, fear no more and welcome to the land of $ 1.25 tacos and open hours not even a whore house would keep. I usually order the pollo asado and bear in mind that these are true tacos: two corn tortillas with a generous helping of the chosen meat, salsa, and accompanied with pickled carrots and peppers. On top of that, they add fresh sliced radishes. The perfect accompaniment to cool down the spiciness of the pickled carrots. We usually order 3 – 4 and have been way more than satisfied. However, our last experience delivered pretty stale corn tortillas that were harder to gnaw through than a hockey puck. Hopefully, it was just a day old stack, because our other experiences have been very good. I would recommend the pollo asado because the carne asada was slightly on the dry end and lacked taste. Next time, as Benjamin C. mentioned, I will try the carnitas :)
