Truck moved again, but I don’t know where. Anyone know how to find this truck? It’s not at 31st and Derby as far as I can tell when I drive by every day to BART… It was the best… There is a new yellow truck in its place at the fenced in lot. There’s still a small Ojo de Agua sign on the builiding… a sad reminder because I think they are totally gone. Guess I should try the new one…

This is my go to taco truck in the Bay. For over ten years the food has been consistently tasty. I obsess about their lengua(tongue) tacos. Do yourself a favor and go get one right now!

aw man, all good things must come to an end. burritos are just okay now. they are hella smaller, skimpy on the meat, plus hella mushy rice and beans. that’s too bad.

This was my first time at El O’s I ordered my usual taco trio with everything: Carne Asada, Chicken and Al Pastor I was pretty impressed with their flavor and welcome addition of guacamole topping. I’ll be coming back to try the long list of tortas.

4 one reason only ***Batido de Mamey*** It’s already hard to find these bad boys in the markets, and when u do they cost a grip. Only a few joints actually serve em, most of the time due to availability. I must say this spot does em proper. I would not recommend the savory stuff tho. Batido=shake(and not what ur mama gave ya) Mamey= crazy good tasting tropical fruit

AHHHHHHHH After that glowing review earlier, I must knock it down to 1 star because I had uncontrollable diarrhea for 18 hours after eating. Gross gross gross. Never again!

Started my Oakland taco truck tour with this place. My cousin said he liked the tacos near Fruitvale Bart, but to my surprise there were two trucks located right near the station. I decided to just go to both… I mean, it was a taco truck day. I had nothing else to do. The tacos were good… just a little too big for me. The meat was delicious. It tasted different from the taco meat I’m used to in SF. Less charred, more soft. Me and my friend also noticed that their tortillas are a little crunchier. It gave it the extra bite! It was also a bit more spicy, and we dug it. The radishes and cucumber they gave us was awesome to bite into to cool our mouths down. And I love cheap tacos! $ 1.25! Yes!

Went here on the recommendation of an article in «Eating Well» about Bruce Aidells experience here. Had 2 al pastor tacos and 2 carnitas tacos. Al pastor, thumbs up. Carnitas, what the hell? NOT carnitas, kinda like fried lunch meat? There is great carnitas in this town, so Im going to write up my favorite taco truck next… Sorry, Bruce Aidell, you were misled!

Yup you can’t really go wrong here. Massive smoothies, Breakfast Burritos, and Amazing Torta’s! I gotta hand it to these cats for coming up with some of the freshest ingredients I’ve had at a taco truck. The Torta’s is what really turned me on to this place. They are simply with out a doubt, amazing. Give it a try!!! Oh and did I mention«Cheap!»

Something has changed with the menu it seems. I ordered a super burrito, and what I got was the length of TWO burritos. It was over a foot long! And I damn-near finished it. Of course, I’m suffering now.

This is the prettiest taco truck I’ve ever seen. Covering the left side of the truck is a pretty landscape of a beach… but anyway the cubana torta is really good here and it’s pretty freaking big and juicy. Me and my friend had to share it, especially because this was only the beginning of our hunt for good food in the area. We had a long way to go. We also picked up some of their frescas like the mango and the guava. I liked both of them. Really refreshing. And they were really thirst quenching throughout the day with all that food we’re trying to bring down our stomachs.

I’m kinda picky when it comes to taco trucks, so I give this taco truck a 3 outta 5. They put a different kind of salsa on the tacos, which is good, but not my fave. They are very generous with the radishes/jalapenos/carrots, but only if you ask. The chorizo burrito is one-of-a-kind. I am not a huge fan, but it’s pretty good. My bf has cravings for them.

I wanted this to be my go-to taco truck, so I tried it again. This time, I went for the American Breakfast Burrito – eggs, chorizo, potatoes, salsa. It took a super long time to make it, which seems to defeat the purpose of a truck – what could be faster food? But, the real disappointment came after a few bites. It was very greasy, so much so that every bite coated my chin with oil. The potatoes were shredded, which meant very little potato flavor or texture. They were mushy and gross. The egg was overcooked and I ended up throwing it out halfway through – and I’m not one to waste food. Now, I officially will start my search for a new taco truck.

They have really good tacos, although I’ve had much better corn tortillas elsewhere. All the meats that I samples were really good and the salsa they put on the tacos was very tasty. They are one of those taco trucks that actually has their own parking lot and what looks like a building that I have no idea what is. It’s all good though because unlike most other taco trucks they have restrooms available. They the most extensive Torta offerings that I have ever seen. Many of them looked very interesting and I will give them a try on future visits.

I don’t bother getting burrittos from taco trucks. just tacos or other goodies. A friend told us that this was one of the best Tortas in Oakland, and I believe him. Awesome torta. 6 bucks. yum!

nobody was here save the lwo latinas in the taco truck when i ordered. the usual taco(1.25) burritos(4.25) super(6.75) were available. fresca seem pricey. got a steak burrito which came with green salsa, some slices of slice cucumber and a hot pepper. the burrito was hugh! the burrito consisted mostly of beans, rice and fine grounded meat ala ground beef. when i finished, i was full. no doubt from the grease and lard within the burrito. then i felt a rumbling, one of many runs to the john to expel the recent injested burrito. such a rush to expel can only be a result of bateria laden food and/or greasy food. i shall not return.

This place is awesome. I wanted a breakfast burrito in Oakland and this place had a lot of good reviews, so I checked it out. Its weird. This place is a taco truck, but the place has a brick and mortar building. The truck is in the parking lot of a building that has the el oja de agua written on the walls. I got a breakfast burrito with chorizo. I ordered it with potatoes instead of rice and beans and it came with rice, no beans no potatoes. No matter, maybe the chef knew better than me because it was incredible. The chorizo was not as greasy as it can be(translation — i didn’t get sick). It was only $ 4.50 and just a flavor explosion. I saw about 6 Mexican guys eating tortas in the parking lot all of which looked terrific. There was a torta menu in Spanish of special tortas which I could sort of make out. I will go back there with someone who speaks the language.

We got some tacos from the El Ojo de Agua truck on Fruitvale Ave &12th. We got: the famous taco al pastor — I liked it, hubby thought it was just ok & taco tripe — he didn’t like it much. nuez liquado(walnut milkshake) is good, I’ll get the strawberry liquado next time or agua frescas. Still recommended.

My favorite taco truck and I have tried many of them. El Ojo de Agua stands out because their meat is delicious(I prefer the al pastor but others are good too) and they give extras like grilled nopales and cebollitas. There is also usually a chunk or cucumber or something else. The salsa are good too. The mango agua fresca is tasty and they have a host of other drinks too. And, the truck is gorgeous.

I tried El Ojo de Agua’s al pastor taco and didn’t like it. The pork pieces were crispy on the outside, but the pieces were so small, the crispy bits overwhelmed the meat itself. The pastor flavor didn’t jump out at me, and the standard guacamole was more of a distraction than a good addition. I would much rather taste the onions, and didn’t really on this taco. Tacos are $ 1.25 and are served on the smaller sized corn tortillas. Update 9÷27÷07: I went back and tried a Burrito Al Pastor. I basically threw away half of it and went somewhere else to get another al pastor taco. Their burrito had hardly any pork in it and the pork tasted like it was stewed with tomato sauce. I don’t think that qualifies as al pastor. It was filled with mushy beans, rice, cheese, sour cream, and cilantro, which did not blend together at all with the pork. Foul example of al pastor, or a burrito to say the least.
