Placed my order and didn’t get order. Was told that the driver couldn’t find my house even though I spoke with him from my home and told hi, how to access the small street my home is on. I was told the driver didn’t speak English and the GPS lead him the wrong way. I suspect that the driver didn’t to go down a dark road in Oakland. Paid by CC so I wasn’t going to rob him. My question is why have someone who can’t communicate with a customer if they can’t find the house delivering the food? Never using Unilocal to order delivery again.

Great little Chinese food place for pickup! I’ve tried a lot of different Chinese food in the area and this is the best. Fast and delicious.

The Salt and Pepper Fish is very good. I’ve ordered several things off of the menu and all were decent.

This was the most bland Chinese food I have ever had. We ordered the crab wontons, egg foo yung, egg rolls, fried prawns and vegetables chow mein(this was for two people and we have left overs). We paid $ 33 for all that including delivery and tax. They had great service, very friendly and I ordered off Eat 24 app and they called to confirm address and delivery time. I was very pleased with my service. The food on the other hand had no flavor and not enough soy sauce and hot sauce could fix that. We both took a bite of the chow mein and then ended up throwing it out. It was dry with no sauce and few vegetables, so all you had was the taste of starchy noodles. Crab wontons we’re good, I would eat them again. The egg rolls were flaky, but had par baked cabbage with no salt. The prawns were flavorless, that’s all, just flavorless shrimp. Now the egg foo yung, it was good at first, but they serve it in a to go bowl so after the top part the rest of the egg is soggy in the salt lacking, dull flavored sauce. I wanted to like this place. They were so nice and quick! But unfortunately the lack of flavor is preventing me from ordering again.

I love the Dry Fried Ribs here, the best I’ve ever had. Sad to say this is the only thing I’ve ever eaten from here, and I’ve been coming for years. At lease 15 years, and I’ll still come back for the Dry Fried Ribs. It’s a must try.

We order the simple stuff like the chicken chowmein, orange chicken, fried rice and curry. All was very good so Im ordering from here again. Fast service and my kids like it. Im not a fan of chinese to go, I would rather go to a noddle house and have it fresh but for those times that the kids yell for chinese and I dnt feel like driving this is a good choice.

My neighborhood take out Chinese. Many reviews seemed to have high expectations for this place. It’s a counter with three tables that shares its parking lot with a gas station… Four stars for the service and the noodles: the young woman who works the counter is patient and remembers me. Get the veggie Hong Kong style noodle… thin noodles are fried so there is a crispy outer layer. Sauce and lots of veggies. My H gets the salt/pepper wings and eats them at the counter so he doesn’t have to share – he loves them… Get the regular fir a big box they can’t close. Fried rice, green beans and eggplant are all good. Skip the Orange Chicken… the heavy breading is not our taste.

The restaurant name is actually China Pak Kitchen The service has diminished significantly since the older woman has left/retired… two days ago I ordered the Honey Walnut prawns over steamed rice(which is much better than when its served over lettuce) and dried fried ribs, and the batter that the shrimp was cooked in was disgusting. and the dried fried ribs were overcooked and had no flavor. Not to mention the sweet and sour sauce had way too much cornstarch in it which made it clumpy. It makes me sad to write this review as I have lived int he neighborhood over twenty years and grew up going to this place. Unfortunately I think this was going to be my last visit… If your looking for some good Chinese food and are willing to spend a little more money take your business over to fountain garden on MacArther.

Very unassuming looking restaurant. I stopped in and had to get the cumin beef special that was promoted. I asked for it to be hot. Those aren’t bell peppers; they’re hot peppers. I nearly scorched my taste buds off, and I loved it. They don’t overload your styrofoam container with rice. The ingredients are above average for its price point. Very authentic. If you’re in the neighborhood, it’s definitely worth checking out!

Let me just start off by saying that china pack kitchen is the bomb!!! Sure there maybe some people out there hating about low quality and blah blah, but there’s always going to be haters. For the price that you pay the food is truly fantastic especially when you compare it with your local options like the Jade Palace, China Hut, Lees Garden, and Etc. China Pack Kitchen is truly amazing, and it wouldn’t be opened for over 20 years if their food wasn’t the Bomb! Me and my wife have been eating Chinese food for over 15 years in the Bay Area, and I can only name of a few better alternatives, but for the most part China Pack Kitchen is solid. If you want to pay 3x the price for slightly better quality at PF Chang’s or the Elephant Bar, be my guest. But if you ask me, Ima stay kickin’ it at China Pack Kitchen with my Dried Fried Ribs, Citrus glazed Orange Chicken and my Honey Walnut Prawns ya heard? all for less than 20 dollars. Oh my god, so delicious~ nom nom nom munch munch

The good: delivery was on time, and delivered with a smile. The bad: The food. My boyfriend could not eat ANYTHING. Sesame beef, fried shrimp, salt & pepper ribs. GROSS. All of these were over-fried with a nasty batter. The salt & pepper ribs were heavily breaded with little meat and small bones that you can choke on. The sesame beef tasted just like the salt & pepper ribs. It was served with an overly sweet sauce. The fried shrimp was hard and old. We called and told them how unhappy we were with their food. They refused to give us a refund. Haven’t done a Unilocal review in a while, but this one really needed it. Beware and stay away. Get food some place better. Bottom line: It’s not worth it, and I don’t suggest it unless you are desperate beyond belief. We’ve had better chinese food.

Hrmph. I was feeling lazy yesterday and decided to order takeout for dinner. For some reason, I’m always wary about ordering delivery Chinese… I don’t know why. I just feel like it’s never that good. China Pack had good reviews, so I decided to take my chances. I don’t really eat meat these days, so I ordered egg rolls, green beans, vegetable chow fun, and prawns with lobster sauce(yes I know that’s a lot of food, I have housemates and it’s a $ 20 minimum… STOPJUDGINGME) Delivery came on time, and when I opened up my food I realized they had given me the wrong prawn order. Instead of prawns with lobster sauce, I got prawns with chicken in black bean sauce. I called and told them they gave me the wrong item, I had the most difficult and frustrating time just trying to get my money back. The woman on the phone kept saying, «let me check with the cook, I personally checked your order to make sure». Well, you didn’t check hard enough, because these two items are completely different from each other and don’t look similar at all. She said, «the prawns with lobster sauce is prawn and egg» and I said, I know that, and I’m telling you that’s definitely not what I received-this dish had chicken, prawns, onions, green bell peppers, and black bean sauce. To which she said? «That sounds like the prawns and chicken with black bean sauce.» REALLY? I even told her I could take a picture of it and send it to her phone or someone’s phone there to prove I wasn’t lying, to which she refused because«we don’t have internet here»(!!!) I started to get frustrated and said look, I can’t eat this, and I’m not going to pay for something I can’t eat, and I don’t see why you need to go check with your cook when I’m telling you I definitely got the wrong dish and even offered to send you proof of it. She then said she doesn’t make the decisions and said she would talk to the owner and call me back. It took awhile for her to call back so I actually hopped in my car to drive over and drop this off, which defeats the whole purpose of ordering delivery. She finally called back as I was on my way and said oh yeah, we did a mistake(REALLY!!!), sorry, we’ll have grubhub refund your money. She offered a free prawns with lobster sauce for my next delivery, but I definitely won’t be ordering from them again. A couple of stars because the rest of the food was decent. Not decent enough for me to give them another try, though.

I used to go there all the time. I lived a few blocks away. The shrimp chow mien and the tomato beef over rice was the best… cheep too. I aways compare all others to them. It’s part of the old hood.

Good food, fast, friendly service & delivery. Reasonable prices. Would have given a 5 star if beef & chicken dishes had a tad more meat & hey… where’s my fortune cookie? Have tried many Oakland Chinese delivery places tho & this was by far the best!
