Awful. Atrocious. Inedible. Not fit for humans. In 20 years of ordering food, the worst. Mu Shi was runny, General Gao’s was made with TOMATOSAUCE, potstickers had the consistency and taste of Old Witch Skin, and the egg rolls made sometime in the 90s. Awful

Ordered Chow Mein, Chow Fun, Eggplant and Sesame Chicken. The order came with free egg rolls which were crispy and fresh. I usually don’t like Sesame Chicken but King Kong made it taste great. A lot of food for a good price and fast delivery. They are my go-to for ordering in.

I ordered dinner one night from here on eat24… came early but was greeted and asked to sit down while I waited on my order. The gentleman asked if I’d like anything to drink while I waited. The time the food was done was accurate. They accidentally forgot my free soda but they called after I left and reminded me and offered me to pick it up… or he’d add to any future order and apologized –awesome customer service. very friendly –good prices –good food and good portion… Try the black bean fish

Wonton crab was amazing, but its hard to go wrong with fried pastry dough and cream cheese. The Mongolian beef(soup) was sub par; It managed to be both rubbery and tender, which is alarming for your teeth. At least I got a free sticker! 5⁄7 Perfect score!

Ordered on eat 24 and it took over an hour. They got my order wrong. Stay away from the orange chicken. It tasted like melted orange candy. I won’t order from them again. House fried rice was decent. Bol Choy with garlic was dry and bland.

I’ll be honest. When we first walked in, we were about ready to turn around and walk back out. There is a pre-made selection at the front that did not look fresh. There were egg rolls being assembled on a table toward the back instead of in the kitchen area. The general appearance was run down. We were hungry from moving and this apparently was one of the few places in the area that is open on Sunday and wasn’t fast food so we gave it a shot. We got a seat and placed our order. I’m so glad we did. The food is amazing! We ordered some staples — hot and sour soup, sweet and sour pork, chicken fried rice, beef with broccoli, and I got the sesame chicken which had a «must try» next to it. The soup was ok. The taste was a little off, although I couldn’t tell exactly why. The rice was perfect! It was nice and fluffy and moist, being full of flavor. The broccoli was cooked perfectly. It wasn’t raw or overcooked. The beef was melt in your mouth and there was just enough sauce. The pork was slightly overcooked, but tasted great. My favorite by far was the sesame chicken. My aunt and uncle owned a Chinese food restaurant in Los Gatos years ago and with just one taste it brought back memories of that place. It was soooooo good! The portion size was good also. It was well worth the money spent. With me raving about the food, why do I only give 3 stars? Well, beside the initial setback of appearance, there was the table service. Our server was very attentive and the food was brought quickly enough. We were given paper plates and plastic cutlery to use, though. When the dishes were delivered, I had to ask for serving spoons to plate the food. They wanted us to use our plastic utensils. The dishes were delivered in wide round dishes that had an unnecessary rim that took up valuable table space. With 4 of us at the table, we were crowding things together with only half the items delivered. Judging from the number of people that came and went while we were there, I would say that most of their business is take out or delivery. The quality of food would definitely warrant that. I think they need to focus some on cleaning up the inside(and keep the food prep to the kitchen), get some decent dishes and flatware(including serving spoons), and invest in some smaller serving dishes that are more appropriate to the table size. If they did, I would have given them 4 or 5 stars. I’m sure their sit down business would go up greatly also. All in all, though, I would say don’t let the appearance fool you. Try the food.

Now, I don’t know about anybody else’s tv and food habits, but I tend to combine mine on a perfect Friday or Saturday evening for bingeing on DVR loops of Investigation Discovery where DNA in my house is AKA«Dana!» And I scream it loud and proud once the(duh) guilty person(regardless of what the killer’s Momma says) is convicted and put in da slamma; I defer: but I use my DVR time wisely. I don’t fast forward through the commercials, oh no… that’s nine minutes of Unilocal stalking – looking at food, thinking about food, hoarding bookmarks, you know, the usual for a hard-core UnilocalER like myself. And lo, behold! I come across a Chinese spot that delivers. Now mind you, it’s only 1600, but I’ll be hungry by 1800, so it’s the perfect time to peruse the menu, do some comps and then decide to place my order with who? Unilocal, you know it, Baby, EAT24. I booked a fried pork chop bite with extra garlic, extra scallions and extra crispy, just like I like ‘em and I never pass on me some eggplant, that’s the second best God-made vegetable after the potato, FYI. So what about KKC? It was good, not great. You know how it is when you got your mouth all ready for stuff you already like so when you get it and bite into it, that first bite will either remind you of home or remind you to go for your favorite Chinese delivery next time. It was like that. I mean, King Kong Chinese wasn’t bad, but it didn’t make me feel like Ann Darrow or anything. They are definitely 3-stars worthy, but the fact that they showed up 18 minutes sooner than scheduled, called before they knocked on my door(I like old-school anything, especially manners.) and delivered it quick fast and courteously, they are getting four rousing stars from this UnilocalER(Elite-neutralize your hate.) Love me some EAT24 because I always overtip in person; this app allows me to add my 15% off the T-O-P so once I get my grub, I feel like I’ve already paid them to deliver and leave. That’s how I roll. Would I order again, Unilocal. But would I consider my first spot in CV first? Depends on if my money is funny. That’s another reason why they get 4 stars. The prices are reasonable. Now, you don’t get your container runneth over but you don’t feel cheated for what you got. Fair exchange ain’t no robbery, as my Momma likes to say. So thanks, KKC. I’ve got your number.

Delivery– The food came quick. But, was next level nasty! The eggrolls tasted like pure deep fry grease, old slimy vegies and tastless small piece o’ chicken. Chow mein was oily, and old shrimp and fatty tasteless beef and chicken a few small pieces of pork were ok but beyond that I was totally grossed out and the orange chicken tasted like pure msg, previously frozen tastless chicken and orange syrup. I dropped $ 30 bucks and didn’t eat a thing. I will never order from here again! If you like old greasy fatty food with no flavors then this is your spot. If you expect fresh food thats not greasy or tasteless then keep looking, for a real meal!

There are several Chinese restaurants in the neighborhood, but King Kong is, by far, the best. I’ve ordered a couple of times, and the owner(who is super nice) has personally delivered my food each time. The person taking my order was super nice as well. I’ve had the beef chow fun, general’s chicken, chicken pot stickers, and pork fried rice. Each dish completely scratched my itch for Chinese comfort food!

I called in an order for delivery. It took a little over an hour to arrive. I’ve never eaten here before, so I ordered several things to try. The vegetarian pot stickers were cold and soggy, the hot and sour soup tasted more like sweet and sour soup. I thought I ordered black pepper chicken stir fry, but I ordered salt and pepper chicken which is deep fried with lots of breading. Then it was tossed with onion and hot pepper. It was ok. The stir fry pictures looked a lot better. I finished up with some house chow fun. The noodles weren’t as wide as I expected, but the meat was good and so were the shrimps. I’m not sure if I’ll order again. Maybe just stick to stir fry’s and things that don’t

By far the best place to get good Chinese food at a decent price. The owner Jay is hella cool and the service is always great. A favorite for me and my friends for long nights of studying or movies. My only complaint about this place would be that it’s not open on Saturdays. But this place ALWAYS has me coming back. I recommend ordering on eat24 because they give you weekly $ 2 coupons on all orders.

I ordered chicken curry and honey walnut prawns. The curry lacked flavor, but we did get a big container of it. The prawns were great in flavor but it seemed like a small serving for the price($ 10). I ordered delivery and it took a quick 30 mins. Would not order again.

The seasoning and flavor of this food tasted somewhat authentic to what I remember from living in Hong Kong, but the quality of the food was awful from the container of cabbage they tried to call twice cooked pork to the moldy fortune cookie my son almost ate. Not only was the food terrible, the shrimp with lobster sauce was more like egg drop soup with a few little shrimp floating in it. And the little bit of pork in the twice cooked pork was mostly just chewy fat. The one thing this place had going for it was that even though it was delivery, it was piping hot. Oh wait — it was so hot it melted through the bottom of the cheap plastic containers they put it in. And, for Chinese food, this was expensive. Never again! We didn’t even save the leftovers.

I just recently moved to the Laurel district and was desperately searching for a place to eat in-between moving and stocking my fridge! King Kong is a very quaint Mom & Pop, first-generation ran, Chinese hole in the wall. The waitress/hostess, Tiffany, was very friendly and helpful. I ordered over the phone.(Twice in a week!) I received my orders within the time frames quoted. During my time there, their phones were ringing off the hooks with Car Delivery items running out the door. Clearly, they must be doing something right! This is not your Panda Express, do expect to wait a reasonable time for your food. Similarly, this isn’t a PF Chang, so don’t expect any cotton napkins or dessert wontons to be on the menu. The food is freshly cooked with intense Wok Hay, ample volume, contains no MSG, and most importantly, authentic-full of TLC. They even BBQ and roast their own meats and offer a vegetarian line! Bottom line: Give King Kong a try, you won’t be disappointed! Now, to dig into my grub of their Any 3 menu Items complete with traditional fortune cookie for an awesome value of $ 24.04(with tax)! As our previous governor said: I’ll Be Back!
