SpecOps Live Play

I have used SpecOps for two of my son’s birthday parties. The first when he was 10. We did laser tag at their facility. We had a good mix of kids and adults playing laser tag and every single person who attended the event said it was the best party they have ever been to.
We just used them again for an offsite party for my son’s 12^th birthday. We did a mix of Bubble Sports and Archery Tag. Once again, it was the best party ever.
The staff really focuses on the attendees to ensure everyone has a great time. They do stress safety, which, as a parent, pleases me greatly. My son has loved his parties with SpecOps, and all of his friends leave the event laughing and full of joy.
I would also consider them for a fun adults only adventure, be it laser tag or Bubble Sports, or Archery Tag. I will definitely use them again in the future.

This place is a hidden gem! New to the area I didn’t know where to take my boys to burn off some energy. Found this place through Unilocal,scheduled a visit & had fun watching my boys work together as a team to takeout their rivals.
From the warm welcome to Oakdale (fairly common out here it seems) on the phone to the genuine Welcome to our field of fun I received when we arrived, I felt like my family’s business was appreciated. After a short & entertaining instruction about safety, game rules & equipment use my boys along with about 15 other kids (some of them dads) went out to the field and got their GI Joe on. If it weren’t for my bum knee I would’ve joined them.
While the kids played under employee guided games, the owner made sure to introduce himself by his field name (Shredder, I think… sorry it’s been a few weeks), gave us brief history of how he started the business & where he’d like to take it. Even made some wheat thin appetizers with a yummy black bean salsa. Thanks!
Overall great experience for the family & will likely be returning soon now that warmer weather is here.

Great place came here to spend some time with the family. My kids age 6 and 9 had an awesome time. Even my wife got into it. Everyone was super nice and made us feel welcome and comfortable. This is so much better then indoor laser tag. Give them a shot you will not regret it.

Just finished a Halloween-​themed nighttime game with a group of 30 friends. The staff was great and bbq’ed our food for us, the equipment worked well and they’re were a variety of weapons. The course provided a lot of strategy options. Overall great time was had by all!

Very cool place. Laser tag outdoors. Great way to get the stuck on the couch gamer off their butts and running around outside. Great price, much cheaper then paintball. Lasers are very accurate. I wouldn’t plan on doing this for more then a few hours unless you are in shape. Tried the Archery tag, but I think I enjoyed the lasers more. Great place for a birthday party. $ 25 for two hours. Call ahead to make sure you can play.

Best laser tag I have done since leaving the Military. It’s not just 3 hours of running around and shooting. They set up several different types of games that require strategy.

All I’ve heard was great things about this place and it was definitely proven last night! My friends and I had such a fun time! The mini games we played after Deathmatch really up’ed the adrenaline! The people are friendly and super fun and the guns are awesome!!! I can’t wait to go again which will definitely be soon! :D

Worth the drive. It was a seriously fun day of running around and shooting at each other. The location is a bit hard to get to but if it wasn’t they wouldn’t have the room to spread out. It is a great deal and something everyone will enjoy.
Run around in trees, and their ever changing «city» of wooden bunkers. Remember you are carrying the guns for a while so choose a good medium size.

20 of my friends and I came here yesterday for a birthday event and we had such a BLAST! To be honest, I had my doubts when I heard how far we had to drive to get here, but it was definitely worth the drive. We were there from 4 to 8PM for $ 35/​each.
The location is kind of hidden next to a farm, but it’s on a concave land that used to be a man-​made lake that has since dried up with trees and bushes growing everywhere. It gives a jungle-​like feel. They’ve also built all these wooden bunkers that are ideal for hiding in.
They also have really high-​tech equipment (NOTHING like the cheap plastic guns at indoor suburban laser tag places). They have multiple types of guns (machine guns, bazookas, snipers) with different ranges and they’re very accurate.
The people working there were great as well! They were really friendly and fun. They set up and facilitated various games for us. They even joined us in the last few games.
I definitely recommend this place for corporate events/​offsites, birthday events, or if you and a bunch of friends want to just have an awesome day! They even do mobile events where they come to you!

This is a must for laser tag. All ages will enjoy. I brought a group of 10 kids from 10 to 15 y. o, they didn’t stop talking about it for 2 days.
The owners are great, the equipement great, the overall experience great. The price is also very reasonable at $ 25/​person. The kids have played some indoor stuff at $ 7/​game/​person for 10 min. We played for 2 hours. It’s a bit of a drive but worth it and bring some snacks.

I’ve played a lot of lasertag throughout northern CA and throughout the world. Without a doubt, the equipment at Specopsliveplay is one of the most fun lasertag systems to play on. Each lasertag gun has a radio link that provides players with an instant hit-​confirmation so there’s no question if you hit who you’re shooting at. The guns are accurate to over 1000′. The game formats focus on team games rather then individual scores. This is the way lasertag was meant to be. Oakdale is far and way, but easily worth the trip. They have a fun outdoor field and some of the best, most accurate and most rugged lasertag equipment available anywhere. This system is fun for first time players or seasoned lasertag players. The owner is very friendly and easy going. This place is a gem.

I’ve played four extended games with these guys and they’ve all been a blast. Their equipment is excellent, their facilities are well-​designed. The games are well-​run, and they tailor the games and teams to individuals’ skill-​levels. The clientele aren’t crazy hardcore, so you can actually enjoy yourself if you’re new. The people who run it are super friendly yet laid-​back yet professional. You could call it a mom-​and-​pop operation (I’ve met Cypher’s mom and pop there!). I’ve brought a dozen people out to play with them on my birthday and they all couldn’t stop talking about how much fun it was — even the girls who thought they’d never get into running around with toy guns. Oh, and the prices are absurdly reasonable.
So, how good is it? Good enough to keep me coming back despite the three hour round trip. I highly recommend these guys — friend them on Facebook to keep track of their specials and events!
