Denny’s

Service was a little on the slow side. The food gave me a stomach ache after I’m not sure why. It could just be me but I think the food tastes better at other Denny’s locations. I guess if I’m in a bind and it’s late at night and I need to sit down and eat I will come here but probably not

Giving it 4 stars because its been a few years since I have been here, they have great food, and the customer service is nice, they wait staff were very friendly and helpful, they always made sure ya had coffee.
When I go here again I will change my rating and update.

Stopped here last night for a quick bite after work. We shared a plate of nachos, and thought they were flavourful. The place is clean, staff is friendly, although a little oblivious. Our waitress couldn’t remember the name of the soups, and was unsure how big the nacho plate was. When I asked if she was new, she said she’s worked there for a quite a while. All in all, it was a good experience for a stop along the way place.

Nous y sommes allés dans la ville de Oakdale, sur la route du Yosemite National Park et je n’en ai pas gardé un souvenir fameux.
Parmi les seuls points positifs, les serveuses sont toutes plus agréables les unes que les autres et c’est un constat que j’ai eu lors de l’intégralité de mon séjour et la carte est très variée.
J’ai choisi lors de cette pause de prendre une salade Caesar, mon estomac né supportant plus les pizzas et autres burgers et sodas. Moi qui m’attendait à une assiette de fraicheur, je me suis retrouvée avec une salade de gras :(Les petites feuilles de salade de mon assiette baignaient dans de la vinaigrette. Le poulet était bon, mais je n’ai quasiment pas senti les saveurs vu tout le gras et le fromage qui parfumaient le plat.
Au final, cette assiette qui était censée être légère m’est restée sur l’estomac toute l’après-midi. Ce n’est pas le soda à volonté eu avec mon plat qui m’a aidée à me sentir légère.

Good place to eat. Wait staff is very helpful. It is just like any other Denny’s that you will go to. They are pancakes, burgers, appetizers, and nice coffee. Once again just like any other dennys you will go to.

Still in-​love with Denny’s food! I ordered The Sliced Turkey Sandwich with a side salad. The turkey breast slices were soft and it was paired with bacon and melted cheese. It was yummy but I found it a tad salty good thing I ordered a salad remove the saltiness a bit. The bread was also crunchy and I think it was cooked like a grilled cheese sandwich, i.e. seared in butter.
For a second time I ordered the Iced Caramel Coffee. It was prepared differently than the one iN modesto tho. In this branch the caramel was already mixed in the coffee whereas in Modesto you get the syrup and you get to stir it in the coffee yourself. It still had the same great flavors.
As for the salad, it’s very fresh. The cheddar cheese wasn’t sharp enough for my liking but I guess it’s because it should complement the dressing/​vinaigrette and not overpower it.

We don’t come here alot, but I must say the Carmel coffee was very tasty, and now we are sharing the banana bread french toast and it’s very good also, We are off to a great day..

We have been waiting here and have not been acknowledged on just waiting here while everyone is being served. It is pretty obvious that we are the only table without food on our table. Next time we are going somewhere different. They do not even greet you when you walk in.

We went to Denny’s after Church, my husband’s breakfast was fine, But my Nacho’s were Awful!!!
They Changed the recipe, now their made with ‘Gluten Free Chips’ Really??? And the meat was like Red Slop! No Beef at All…
It looked, and it was just Dripped on top, there Wasn’t any cheese on the bottom layers either!
Not even Sour Cream could Disguise the taste of those Awful Nachos, I Won’t be ordering those again! Denny’s used to have good Nacho’s.
The Service was bad also!

We stopped at Denny’s on a return trip to the Bay Area from Yosemite about 1:30 in the afternoon. Being 68 & having not been to any Denny’s in over 30 years after being nearly a regular in my single days in Oregon, this was my first chance to order from the senior menu. I’ve been a vegetarian for nearly 25 years, so I relished eating the vegetarian omlette on the back page. A small one was serve to me with an equally small portion of hash browns. About ¼ way through the omlette I discovered ¹⁄₈ inch squares of what I thought might be fried onions. My wife tasted them & confirmed to my dismay that indeed I was eating bacon. The waitress realized the mistake & had the short order cook replace it with a huge vegetarian omlette that even had green & yellow zucchini in it and an enormous new serving of hash browns. Having just hiked Yosemite for three days, I had no trouble devouring both the omlette and the potatoes. My wife enjoyed her hamburger, but I ended up on the toilet from eating bacon for the first time in over 24 years. The bill came to twenty something & I paid it without question, but a good waitress should have told the manager to comp my portion of the meal. Needless to say, I should have taken my wife’s advice & found a better place to have an afternoon meal. Sorry, Denny’s. I won’t be back.

Food was good but service wasn’t the best, took forever to take order and the refills took even longer… Also, when refiled, they wouldn’t remove the used glass… Not to happy but i would come back.

I went here for my free birthday grand slam, and I got the pumpkin spice pancakes. They were so good! Service that day wasn’t amazing though. They didn’t ask me if I wanted bacon or sausage, so they just gave me sausage, which I didn’t touch. I asked 3 employees about the free birthday grand slam, because it was my birthday, and not a single one said happy birthday to me. I felt I might have inconvenienced them by redeeming it. The 4 stars is for the pumpkin pancakes, they were seriously amazing.

We spent $ 78 dollars for 6 of us. Not one of us was impressed with our food. Our food was cold and sat before they brought it to our table. The hashbrowns were ok but the worse was the waffles they were delivered with cold strawberry topping and the waffles were soggy. Even the coffee had to be sent back because it was cold. I’m giving a 2 stars but that goes right to Elsa our waitress. She was nice. I think she only lacked training. I probably will never go back to this dennys

The food was good. Service? terrible! the waitress argued about our orders & ignored our table. The restaurant wasn’t busy but she seemed too busy to refill all our sodas. We were very disappointed in the service. hopefully next time will be better.

Food arrived partially heated. Had to track down waitress to get it fixed. Coffee refill was slow.

This Denny’s was a delight to come to, brilliant in all aspects from the customer service, the food and even the helpful tips from the waitress on our way to San Francisco.
I ordered a double cheeseburger and it was exactly the way i expect a Denny’s restaurant to be, except there was a lot falling out of it.
Only downside was the bathroom was disgusting. Yuck

Ok, this was weird. Our waitress was kinda strange and made us uncomfortable. But he?/she? was nice enough and did a decent job. The food was basic Denny’s. Bathrooms were extremely filthy.

This is one of the random places that I have visited and will review, simply because it is in Oakdale (as I’m sure many are thinking, where?!?). I have been here twice now, each on my drive home with friends from the Yosemite area. The food quality is about what you expect from Dennys, always on the greasier side. Though I am happy to say that since last year, they offer many more healthy alternatives for the healthy eaters. Of course, that isnt to say that they still don’t offer the delicious, heart stopping macaroni salad and cheese sandwhich.
One thing to note is if you plan on making this place a quick pit stop during a road trip, think again. It is always pretty crowded with a wait so you’re better off going to a Mcdonalds for a fast run if you are trying to get somewhere.
In general, if you have time to chill, this is a great place to enjoy a hot plated meal that is not a a drive through during a long road trip.
Btw, for the ladies– the bathroom is pretty gross… just fyi.

It’s a hit or miss with Denny’s and this place was definitely a hit! We stopped by around 4am on our way to Yosemite. The place was a little empty, but that’s ok. Our waitress was super nice and energetic for having to be awake and working at such an odd hour.
The wait for the food was a while, but it was good because the food was amazing. Everything was cooked well and not sloppy! My hashbrowns were crispy on the outside and yummy on the inside. My eggs were good too. The portions were pretty big — more than what I’m used to.
Best place to stop for food on your Yosemite trip!

Denny’s. Denny’s… Denny’s. So good for those late night munchies. This time I was craving for breakfast around 8 pm or so after hiking out from Yosemite.
It was quite when we got there. Huge place. Clean carpet. Our waitress was quite the expert. According to her she’s been working the industry for 30+ years.
But Murphys Law was in full swing this time. It was swinging alright and she threw a toast with butter right unto my chest :) she said it never happened to her before. Sure!!! She’s cool and I was exhausted so I didn’t really care. I was there for the eggs. Now that’s a different story if she ruined my over medium :)
She’s also bad with prioritizing. Food was getting cold right by the kitchen while she was busy joking around. Sigh… but then again this is Dennys.
Bathroom was awful! That’s all I can say. I’m glad I ate my over medium before I saw the over easy in the toilet bowl. Gross!
