My favorite breakfast spot! The biscuits and gravy are absolutely to die for. Try their home made salsa on your country potatoes too! Service is ALWAYS quick and they have the most friendly staff here. But I have to admit my favorite waitress is Becky! She is very attentive and always makes me feel special when I come in. Good food and excellent service is never missing here.
They also pick a table number out of a jar towards the end of breakfast. If they pick your table, the meal is free. Always thought that was really neat!

Terrific breakfast spot! Stopped in yesterday on the way back from a Yosemite trip. Although it was a Sunday (and Father’s Day), they were busy– but manageably so, about a 15 minute wait for a table. The staff was so pleasant and friendly! I ordered the special– banana bread French toast. It was probably the best decision I made all day. Incredible. Seriously. It came with eggs and bacon, and they were NOT treated as afterthoughts, ALSO delicious. Excellent breakfast-​wonderful experience. A local diner with an extensive menu, friendly staff and great food. Will definitely return.

A friend suggested this place for breakfast and it was amazing. Had the Mexican omelette and hash browns. So much food, I took half home. Friends had the special, blackberry stuffed French toast with fresh blackberries. They loved it. Food came out fast, which surprised me as they were so busy. Everything that came out of the kitchen looked and smelled amazing. Can’t wait to go back.

Wow, what an awesome place! Excellent hot, fresh breakfast, delicious coffee in super cool large mugs and the decorations are warm and completely appropriate to oakdale, tasteful cowboy/​country along with license plates from all over the country complimenting each section of the restaurant. This place is clean, inviting and the staff are very friendly and the service is great! Can’t wait to go back.

I appreciate the consistently good food the great service but above all despite how busy this place gets they keep it spotlessly clean. They even take the time to clean the menus…

The only thing worse than not going here, would be to go here without ordering the breakfast sandwich.

It’s exciting to see a business grow, and add new things! the building looks great.

I def have mixed feelings about the food here. Breakfast was horrible: raw potatoes with raw onions, bacon tasted like jerky, chicken fried steak was over cooked and did not have enough gravy, and gravy had no flavor. Yuck!
Lunch is great: Monday’s they have a cheeseburger and fries for $ 4.99, the salads are good, and the service is great! No complaints about the lunch!

A fine and friendly breakfast place.
We have been here a few times now and it is usually full of people eating delicious breakfast items. The staff has been super friendly each visit. Parking can be a pain, as it is right in downtown oakdale on the Main Street.

I enjoyed the Mexican omelette & the house potatoes, although the potatoes could have used a few more minutes cook time. I wish I had known that they offer a house made salsa (you have to ask for it)… There I was, eating Tabasco like a dope. Oh well– next time! It seems like a popular local joint, every table was filled at around 11 am Sunday morning. The servers were all very friendly. I will be back the next time I am in Oakdale.

We’ve eaten here a few times (breakfast) boyfriend loved the omelet (Santa Fe) me just eggs and bacon but always good. Today we see they’re having their BBQ tonight… omg so good. You should do more often. The sides are good the pulled pork and the brisket has great flavor. Will definitely be back again. DINO’S BBQ

This is my favorite breakfast spot! We come here every Sunday-it’s like a tradition. Friendly staff, quick service, and delicious food. I always order the bacon breakfast burritos with salsa and sour cream on the side. It comes with 2 but I usually can only finish 1! Very good! My bf loves the French toast breakfast. Very fresh food. It’s usually super packed on Saturday. Since they remodeled/​expanded the restaurant there is more space now.

We have been coming here for 15+ years. Very disappointed that you changed your gravy recipe for biscuits and gravy. Was not good at all :-(

Our family’s new favorite breakfast spot! I love the atmosphere! They have great and friendly staff. The prices are great and the food is always good. One day we will try their lunches. But for now we are hooked on the breakfasts.

It’s a spacious diner with nice service. The food was good. My friends and I got different kinds of omelettes, and they were all so good! Waitress was nice. It’s very clean diner. Unexpected jewel on our way to Tahoe!

I came here with my co workers for a brunch and it was yummy! I ordered a tri tip sandwich, my friend ordered banana waffles and an everything sandwich, all of it was good! Good portions. Good service.
I ordered the strawberry lemonade expecting it to be like the other pictures with the strawberries in a mason jar and it was not! I hate that! I just got a sad lemonade with strawberry syrup! No no no! I was so disappointed. Overall the FOOD was good…

Great food, wonderful service, and exceptional experience!
We had the good fortune of ending up at this diner. This visit has proven that fate has a funny way of bringing opportunities into your life.
We stopped by Oakdale to grab some lunch. We initially planned to eat at another place, which we couldn’t find. So we decided to eat elsewhere. We finally decided to try Cahoots since we noticed that it had a lot of diners while passing by and was highly rated in Unilocal.
Since it was free seating, we decided to sit at booth #3 that would normally sit 4 adults comfortably. But since there were 4 adults and 2 toddlers in our party, we thought we would still be ok. The server gave us the option to wait until a bigger table opened up. We were eager to have lunch, so we kept our table.
While checking out the menu, one of the female server rang a bell and made an announcement: ‘It’s 12 o’clock! Here at Cahoots, we make a draw every 12 o’clock to pick a table. If we draw your table’s number, then your meal is on us!’ This for us all excited. We checked our table number and it was 3. Then the lady pulled up a piece of paper out of her drawing bin. Somehow I expected to win. But to my disappointment, she called booth#2! Just one booth ahead of us. The elderly couple, who were seated at booth#2, didn’t realize that it was their booth that was called. Everyone said it and mentioned it to them. They graciously thanked and smiled back to the other patrons.
While enjoying our yummy corned beef hash, omelette, Everything sandwich and Senior cheeseburger, we kept on talking about how lucky the couple was. We couldn’t have possibly won given that we haven’t ordered our food at the time of the draw.
It took us a while to finish our meal. My daughter and son took turns in asking to be taken to the washroom. The place was under construction so they provisioned for a portable ‘luxury’ restroom. I was quite impressed with the amenities that the restroom offered. Mind you, it was my first time to use a luxury portable restroom. It was cleaner and fancier than many of the built-​in restrooms that I’ve used in other restaurants.
I particularly enjoyed their Corned Beef hash and the Omelet that my hubby ordered. The corned beef were seasoned lightly and was blended with ‘crispy’ hashbrowns. The omelet was HUGE and was filled with all sort of meat and veggies. It was a meal for 2!
Topping this wonderful small town diner experience was when it was time to pay the bill. The server asked whether we knew that our meal was already paid for. What?! Paid for? «Yes, the couple who won said they wanted to give the prize to you since they’ve already won 5 times.» Wow! We were touched and impressed of our befactors’ generosity.
It was a great way to start our long weekend trip.

Wife and I came down here to my hometown for first time since Christmas 2012 and saw a lot had changed since we’ve been away. One of them was here at Cahoots, but delightfully that’s fine. The food and service is just as good as when we last came. And so nice to see familiar faces as well. My wife got her favorite, the breakfast burritos. While I had my pork chops and country potatoes. They always hit the spot to start off our mornings and always display friendly small town quality service. 5 out of 5 for Cahoots Corner Café.
