Decent hardware store, but incompetently operated, high priced firearms section. Had a transaction that was seriously mismanaged by the head moron with attitude, have since found a great local dealer and simply order off the internet … to bad, would be nice to have a functional local stocking dealer to go to.

Just had horrible customer service where the cashier repeated called me stupid. The bill due was $ 29.99 and $ 20 was paid a week earlier; I said okay, then the screen was around $ 50 total. She kept calling me stupid and saying the cost is $ 29! Anyway, the manager was called and I then let my son deal with it and the cashier was still just shaking her head no… omg. I paid $ 50 so it cost $ 50.

If I could give them zero stars I certainly would! You would think that in this day and age a smaller hardware store would bend over backwards to provide good customer service, as most of these types of stores have been forced out of business due to the big box store hardware stores unfortunately they just do not provide customer service at all! There are many of the people that have worked there for years that are rude, bitter, and angry. Then you have the younger women employees where I can’t even say without using vulgar language (which I will not) to describe how horrible they treat their customers. I have to say that the local Home Depot has wonderful customer service and employees that really do smile and make you feel welcome in their store, ace hardware Oak Harbor makes you feel like you are really putting them out if you ask a question. The rudest store I have ever shopped in! Time to close the store and send the horrible rude people that work there packing. They have certainly lost my family’s business.

In its limited space they seem to have most everything needed around the home, and to top it off, the people who work there are very knowledgeable, and know what they have in stock and where it is in the store.

This is the only place in town for me to go and get my hunting/​fishing license, so once a year I have to go here. I dread it. The people here are without a doubt the rudest people on the island I have encountered. Old, bitter, and overall unpleasant. HATE going here.

Love this place. very knowledgeable people and usually has exactly what I need, lots of random stuff here too, fun to just look around.

Ace truly is the place. I go here with parts in hand and everytime I quickly find someone to help me. They analyze my needs offer suggestions. They are wonderful, compared to the big box store where you stand around and no one will help you, this place I am in and out with just the right parts every time. Their gift selection is getting larger and larger and is a perfect place to go for a special gift. Their gardening supplies are priced great. The best hardware store on Whidbey.
