Poor coffee. High prices. I tried it three times and have never been impressed.

As good as it gets for Whidbey Island. Take that how you will, but as for myself, I’m thankful for the place. Not quite sure how the place qualifies as a book gallery, but their chai isn’t bad and their drip coffee makes the trip to the other side of town worth it; not to mention the waterfront views. Do yourself a favor and keep heading south on highway 20, barely five minutes past the Starbucks.

Brilliant. I first started coming here about a year and a half ago, and it has remained my favorite since. Although it’s tucked away, it’s worth the extra few minutes. Staff are always pleasant, coffee is generally good, and it is the only place where I have managed to find a Smartie cookie since moving to America (a must for any homesick Canadian).
