Will never come back, horrible services and the bar is never stocked and always out of basic beers.

I walked in. Waited by the door to be seated. No one ever came so I walked to the table to look at one of the menus that was sitting there. Nothing inspired me to seek out an employee so I left. I did wait at least 5 mins before walking to get the menu. Looked at it for a few mins and then left. Not a single employee in sight.

Been here a few times. The first couple times were alright… but I figured it would improve because they were fairly new. Tonight, I walked in with a large group. No bartender behind the bar. No server in sight. No one. Waited a good 5 minutes to see anyone who worked there and ended up walking out and taking our business elsewhere without seeing a single person who worked there. You’re in the service industry and with experiences like that you will lose customers.

I’m here right now… And this is to the new GM… Sweetie, the food is terrible. The burger had a good flavor but everything else was crazy bad. The servers suck. I don’t care if they are 21. A young person is capable of being a good server. The atmosphere is terrible. Plastic cups? Come on. Anyways, straighten this place up, hire people who know what they are doing. I’m not planning on ever coming back as of now and it’s too bad cuz I live very near.

Not at all what we expected. The staff was horribly unprepared and slow and the food was mediocre. I would prefer good service and food to a pretty face. Especially in a country bar, the staff is supposed to make you feel welcome, not like a burden. It is clear that they spent some cash to get this place open, but that is where the good ends. Being born and raised in Arizona I have frequented my share of country bars and this is not one. It kind of feels like a warehouse inside and the décor is just one cliché after the next. I suppose watching a band may be a little better but I will not be coming back to find out. It is a shame, we need a good country bar in the area.

This place is a hidden gem. It’s under new management, which resonates in everything from the food to the drink specials to the music. We came on a Friday night and were pleasantly surprised to find 75 cent wings on special and a ton of awesome mixed drinks under $ 4. The«rockin’ bloody» was the highlight of the night, however, complete with a fried chicken wing, hamburger slider, beef stick, cheese, and assorted veggies. Definitely check this place out if you’re into killer bar food and cheap, strong drinks!

This place was horrible. I would rate it zero stars if that was an option. Went here for dinner and some drinks. We ordered the nachos that were supposed to come with pulled pork on them(Rockin nachos?). We start eating them, and realize there is only BBQ sauce, and absolutely NO pork on the nachos. We asked the waitress(April) about this, and her response was, «Oh yeah, we ran out of pulled pork.» Are you kidding me!!! I used to be a waitress, and I understand how these things work — it isn’t the waitress’ fault if the kitchen runs out, but I could not believe that she didn’t tell us this and give us the chance to change our order. I was also infuriated that the kitchen still tried to pass it off that we were still getting what we ordered by putting BBQ sauce on the nachos! The waitress never even apologized, and still charged us for the pulled pork nachos which were more expensive than the other nachos offered on the menu. In addition to this HORRIBLEHORRIBLEHORRIBLE service, the burgers are seriously overpriced, and the ranch dressing is so watered down. I will never come her again, I am so disgusted with this place! To make matters worse, I contacted Rockin’ Horse Saloon about this problem, and never got a response back.

I would give this place a negative rating after my experience last night. I have been there a couple times before, and had a decent time. However after last night I am never going again. I was sitting alone waiting for friends, and drinking a beer near the gaming area. The owner(which I didn’t know was the owner at the time) says hi, I return the hello. He proceeds to call me stuck up because I didn’t continue a conversation. When he was done playing the slots, he came over introducing hisself. The conversation was great, talking about the band, plans for the saloon, & the experience there. & then it took a turn. He not only asked if I was stuck up, and told me I seemed like I was stuck up. But he then said I seem like a bitch… Really? Is this the type of conversation he has with all of his customers?! Regardless if it was a joke or not, it’s unacceptable to talk to anyone you don’t even know that way. Especially if it’s a customer for YOUR business.

This place is terrible. There are numerous other places you can go to with better service, better prices, and better food. Go to those places.

Worst bar I have ever been to. Food was terrible and the waitstaff was never there when you needed them. I’m sure this bar will close like every other bar that’s been in its location. I highly recommend not going there

Came here on a Sunday night, very slow night.(snow storm) Wait staff was very nice, good looking place as it is remodeled to look like an old saloon. Great food. The only thing I would like to see is based on other reviews, I would like to see it during a busy point to see how the wait staff and kitchen handles under pressure.(EDIT — Same night as original review, As soon as I Posted the review I watched 2 of the wait staff and 2 of the bartenders take a shot. I do not believe this is good practice. In my books went from a 3.5 star rating to a 2.5 — 3.)

Alright, I really wanted to like this restaurant but there were too many bad decisions and mistakes made by the management and kitchen/wait staff to overlook. First of all when we sat down and ordered coffees the coffee came and it was burnt and obviously had been sitting in the pot since morning and it was now 3 pm. Why wasn’t a fresh pot put on? Secondly, what is the deal with the plastic forks and knives? The place looks really nice inside and then they come with plastic cutlery that should only be seen at a fourth of July picnic. Seriously bad taste. If I am paying these prices I expect real cutlery to eat with. This is not McDonalds. The burger and fries were fine but you would expect more burger when paying 9 bucks for it. It was good though but once again not served on a plate but in a plastic basket. No biggie. One thing that was pretty much unforgiveable during our dining experience was when my wife ordered the southwest salad you could see that the ranch dressing was so watered down that it poured out of the basket like water when we tipped it. I tasted the salad and it was so bland due to the fact that the dressing had been so diluted that it lost all flavor. Lastly, we ordered a plain burger for my son and emphasized plain, no cheese, don’t even have anything on the plate like lettuce or tomato. We said this a couple of times because he is 6 and fussy as hell. Now understood that mistakes get made sometimes but how did the burger come to us with cheese on it? The waitress noticed right away and took it back but at the time we were the only people in the restaurant. We were looking around for a manager to speak with but couldn’t find any or didn’t see anyone that we could possibly complain to. We told the waitress about our coffees and she took it off the bill but we really were hoping to be able to speak to someone. This place has great potential if they can fix a few things. They need to have a manager someplace so we don’t have to go home and write a Unilocal review. As the place is only open a couple of weeks I will give it a second chance sometime but hopefully by then they will understand that people want knives and forks and when paying 9 bucks for a burger you need to at least leave the place full and never water down that salad dressing ! Seriously, McDonalds has a better salad. I hope this place gets better as it is so near to us that we would love to become regulars. I hope that the management gets a chance to comment.

Great music! I have just gotten into country music. I am glad I found this place. You can stand and mingle, grab a table or get on the dance floor and have fun. People were singing along with the music and having a good time. I am looking forward to coming back. I did hear they are going to have a lot of live acts too.

Walked in for lunch this afternoon around noon. I sat at the bar. I waited a good 5 – 7 minutes before anyone approached me. I noticed that there were two other people at the bar drinking, so I wasn’t the first person in there. The bartender was nice. I also noticed only young attractive females serve or bartend, if you’re into that kinda thing. I was waiting for friends, and they walked in as the soon as the bartender greeted me. The décor was nice as they’ve remodeled the place to resemble an old-time saloon. Country music is their theme and plays throughout the place. My friend asked the bartender what was on tap and as the bartender was going over the beers on tap, a roided out muscle-head approached the bartender from behind and questioned her about money in the drawer, stopping her in her tracks. She immediately focused her attention on the bouncer-type person, totally neglecting my friend’s request. Very unprofessional. We ordered drinks and then some food. I had the southwest chicken rolls, named«rockin’ rolls.» My friends had the chicken sandwich and the southwest chicken salad. The food was good and their drink selection was good. After those initial encounters, the bartender was very attentive and everything was nice. Would recommend for the food but service needs some work.

High prices, okay food, and staff who does not know their menu and drink selection make this an okay — but — not — great place to go for lunch in oak forest.
