Can’t say I fished with them because even though I had a reservation they were a no show at the boat and when I called they apologized but gave no reason for canceling and since they hadn’t taken my number, they couldn’t reach me. What was to be the highlight for for son never happened. Shame.

I was really excited to board the Skipper this AM and have a nice leisurely morning catching fish. We got on the ship with about 30 other passengers. Moved to the front of the boat and headed out to the first fishing spot. The fish were slow to bite so the Captain moved us to another location. This fishing spot was more successful and the fish were biting. I caught a couple fish and first mate Jeff was very helpful to unhook the fish and let us know if we should keep them. Everything was going fine UNTIL I was put in a very awkward situation with one of the captains younger helpers. This young lad walked over to me while I was unhooking a fairly large porgy. Without asking he intrusively took over unhooking the fish and told me to let go. Once he removed the fish he tossed it in the bucket and then to my extreme surprise and disgust he rubbed his dirty smelly fish hand on my shoulder. I immediately said«did you just do that on purpose?!?» And he replied with a «yes it was a gift for you» I was so disgusted and completely flabbergasted. Everyone around me was in complete shock. As I was walking of the ship I went up to the captain to tell him about the incident. When I got to him I was not the only one complaining. Another women with her husband and three children had the same complaint. I noticed the woman had a bloody streak down her white fleece. The kid had wiped his bloody hand on her! I chimed in and told the captain that this also happened to me. He apologized but did not offer any type of compensation, not even for the Woman’s stained fleece. Extremely turned off by the captains help. He should seriously reconsider letting this kid work on his ship.

Awesome time. Fun atmosphere. Family oriented. And party oriented. Very nice crew. We had an awesome time fishing by day then Felix neck tour by evening. Very cool island experience.

A fun afternoon on an old school wooden fishing boat, big olé’ diesel and all. The Captain and his crew make sure everyone has a good time as they cruise around to the various groundfishing hotspots, and many, many scup and black seabass are hauled aboard. BYOB, btw. Good times.

I went out this morning on The Skipper. It was a great time. They seem to know the perfect fishing spots. Everyone was catching fish, Sea Bass and Grup. Jeff, the 1st Mate, was amazing answer questions, fixing gear and removing tough to remove hooks. I come to the Vineyard at least once a year and plan on going out on The Skipper on my next visit. A perfect start to the day on Martha’s Vineyard.

What an awesome time! Capt. Bob definitely knows what he’s doing and it shows. Everybody on the boat caught at least one fish and my brother caught eight… including four«keepers». 1st mate Jeff then cleaned our fish for us and packed up the fillets to take home. Highly recommend this fishing trip which is much cheaper then chartering most other boats on the island.

What a great way to spend the afternoon! These guys are so much fun. They make sure everyone on the boat catches something. If the fish stop nibbling in one spot, the Captain picks up and moves us to hungrier waters. Pack some snacks and beverages and get ready for a successful fishing trip!
