Husband would give it a 4 but I give it a 2. The crab cakes appetizer was flavorful and full of crab. His tuna steak dinner with coconut rice and corn-on-the-cob was cooked correctly and was a good portion/value. My complaint was with the fish tacos. Very flavorful but they attempted to cover up the lack of fish with extra black bean salsa. Bit into the taco 3 times before I came across any haddock. Second taco — same thing — one small piece of fish took up less than half the taco length. Plastic ware for everything.

I went here a few times over my vacation on the island. The staff was always friendly and they make a great drink! No matter what drink we ordered, it was strong and it was delicious. The food was typical of a touristy pub, nothing great, but good enough. The view’s of the harbor are nice and it’s close to the ferry if you’re waiting around.

Lovely view of the harbor, consistently attentive friendly waitstaff. One of the screw mosa’s and you will be in relaxation mode. Ahi tuna app so tasty. Lobster dinner with side of fresh asparagus cooked to perfection. Burgers cooked precisely as ordered. Repeat visits throughout our stay on the island. As long as you don’t mind the casual vibe and plastic silverware.

Great atmosphere, right on the water, friendly staff and good food. I had the Cuban and it was the closest thing to the real thing that I have had in a while. I will be back again.

Super yummy Mahi tacos and steak tacos! Big portions with fair prices. You can’t beat the awesome harbor view! Perfect lunch location on a summer day! Awesome bartenders and wait staff!

You’d think this place is a total tourist trap ripoff because of its real estate and ambiance, and you’d be partially right, but surprisingly the food here was more thoughtfully prepared than expected(i.e. not frozen). My seared tuna tacos with edamame and rice noodle slaw were actually decently tasty, although quite expensive at $ 18 for 2 big tacos and a side of curly fries. Not a place to go out of your way for(unless you’re looking to grab a casual beer or two overlooking the water), but not the worst choice either.

Great location, food was fresh. Ordered the fish taco, kids got the chicken finger and burger. Service needs improvement Slow when there was very little traffic people. The waitress should check on the customers to see if they need water or a drink on a hot day.

Worst management ever. having drinks with family and was asked to leave for being«loud» aka singing along to the music that was being played on the surround sound. The bar is located in a vacation area ONTHEWATER. It should be expected for patrons to have a good time and get a little loud. We won’t be back. There are many other places on the vineyard to drink on the water and have over-priced drinks.

There are only a few places on the waterfront on the island of Martha’s Vineyard, so those that occupy this coveted real estate get an automatic extra star just because of the water views. Sitting by the water looking at the Oak Bluffs harbor as you slurp on a rum punch or a cold beer can not be beat. But just be aware that this is not a place to go to for food. And it is not a place to go to if you are on a budget. And it is not a place to go to if you are in a hurry. Kick back on a bar stool, chat with the pony tailed, muscled landscaper on the seat next to you, and take in the tourists. Summer is short on the island so it’s a good idea to get out there and enjoy it. Go elsewhere for food.

Vodka Drink — Blueberry flavoring with too much ice. In a plastic cup. HmmHey, REAL stemware anyone? hoping meal doesn’t come on paper plates. End of meal: well… Plastic fish shaped plate — ok, no biggie. Plastic disposable flatware– REALLY? Takes something away from the $ 60 meal… Food was good, blackened mahi-mahi and BBQ salmon yummy.

Group of 8 and we were seated immediately. Great view of sunset, pier and marina. Make sure to wear your sunglasses if you’re facing west. Otherwise you are completely blind. The place was not very crowded and I felt like our waitress should have been more prompt. Getting our drinks took a little too long. Our orders were placed and a variety of cups and bowls of chowder and bisque were served. Both were quite good though a majority of our table didn’t finish theirs. Soup came with spoons. We then had to ask for utensils and napkins. You’d think these would already be there. The utensils arrived and I again asked for napkins and sensed a little attitude from the waitress. I guess this review is more of a knock against the service and attention I feel a table of 8 should receive. I would rate the food 4 stars and the service 2 stars, so I’m taking the average. The curly fries were good. I enjoyed my lobster bisque and the warm lobster roll was also quite good.

We happened upon this place visiting Martha’s Vineyard. They seated our group of 6 quickly and lucky for us as it filled up right after. The food was excellent, big portions w unique infusions of jerk chicken and fried plantains. I had fried conch and the ahi app with rice noodles and edamame. Others in our group had the lobster roll, crab burger, fried clams, and jerk chicken sandwich and jerk salad. All were great and generous. Staff was friendly and service was good for as busy as they were. We had the skinny margaritas and they were light and refreshing. I recommend this spot for the food, service and awesome waterside location. Oh by the way, this is under new management or ownership and only a week. So the new management and chef rock it give it a try.

Pass by and pat the dog! Best menu item? A bottle of beer. Oh, I did try and eat here but I’d prefer not to write about it. See, there are way to many haters in the world today with politics the way they are, healthcare reform, high gas tax and prices and the last thing I want to do is to contribute to your unhappiness by writing about the food I … experienced. Look, it’s a beer place with food. It’s edible but not what I wanted. The beer was fine, the waitresses and staff really nice but the environment and insensitive patrons make it a bottom-lister. Why bring a dog to a bar, leave him on the outskirts of the wrap around bar which borders the walking path so it can bark at everything that walks by? Oh, the white trash equivalent to cat calls I would assume! Guys, wife beaters are out or should be banned at the very least. With so many other places along the bulkhead and further up the road, why not just pass by and pat the dog!

Blech. Not how I wanted my first official vacation meal to go. It seems a bit unorganized here. Despite plenty of seating and a sign requesting to wait to be seated, it took 5+ minutes for anyone to come over greet/seat. My salad was… soggy. Totally unappetizing and just icky. Drinks could have been poured better, but I’m guessing given the atmosphere I needed to lower my expectations a bit. The only saving grace of this place was the view and the fact that the Cardinals-Cubs game was on TV. Sunset over the harbor + Cards kicking some Cubbie ass = pretty damn good night. Too bad neither of those things had to do with the actual restaurant.

What do you drink when you go to Martha’s Vineyard? A Bad Martha. The Bad Martha was sexy, full bodied, and is perfect for seafood or steak. I decided to go for a crab cake sandwich, which was good. Delicious seafood and amazing beer… all right next to the water, oh my. I had a great time sitting at the bar, watching the other patrons, while the bartender kept making frozen pina coladas. I was tempted to order one, but I didn’t want to be too wasted on that day… maybe next time.

It was hard to decide whether to give this a two or a three. I’m sticking with the three only because our waitress was very sweet. However, everything else I was not very impressed with. The oysters on the half shell were all right. We also had the shark bites which had a little too much batter on them and not enough meat. I ordered the oyster belly basket. They were over cooked and it was mostly fries with a small side of oysters. I need to douse them in hot sauce to get any sort of flavor. Another thing that bugged me was the table next to us ordered a beer, the waitress spilled it on him but still gave him the half empty bottle and never returned with a beer to replacement. I’m not sure if she charged him for it or not but it just seemed very unprofessional. All in all, I probably won’t return. We also only ate here because Coop Deville was packed but that’s where we really wanted to go.

I will admit, I’ve only had drinks here. Great location right on the marina where you can people watch and boat watch and soak in some sun. Friendly bartenders and a good selection of beers on tap. Perfect place to pass the time waiting for the ferry back to the mainland.

After the long boat ride from Hyannis, we decided to get a bite to eat. With the nice view of the boats and water we took a look at the menu and decided to eat here. The servers were very friendly and nice. The clam chowder was very delicious. I ordered the grilled swordfish sandwich($ 12.95). Other orders were the lobster roll($ 16.95) and the tuna melt($ 9.95) all served with chips and can upgrade to fries and other items at an extra charge. All of the sandwiches came in very soft and nice bread. My grilled swordfish was very tasty and the upgraded french fries tasty as well. All of the other dishes were very good too. However, for sandwiches we found that having an average price around $ 15, it was a little overpriced. Ambiance is ok, being more like a boat shack along the pier. Great for people watching and service, overall, was quite good with friendly server but forgetting to refill our water and iced-tea glasses when they checked on us. The Final Verdict: Restaurant Ambiance/Décor: 3.0 out of 5.0 Staff Service/friendliness: 4.0 out of 5.0 Seating Arrangement/Layout: 4.0 out of 5.0 Seating Comfort: 3.0 out of 5.0 Food Quality/Flavor: 4.0 out of 5.0 Price Value: 3.0 out of 5.0 Final Score: 21 out of 30(70 out of 100% or C– grade) Final Comment: OK place but if you walk a few blocks away from the dock, will find nice local restaurants and delis with nice menus and lower prices, but will miss the dock/water view. A good place to grab an quick overpriced sandwich but the delicious flavor and view makes you forget the bill price.
