This used to be a good restaurant. Unfortunately, 2016 seems to be a rough year. We waited over 45 minutes for our food. The sushi was delivered first and it was WARM. When we complained to our server he shrugged and apologized, said the kitchen was backed up and then didn’t do anything about the fact that the sushi was inedible. Drinks are overpriced and service is mediocre as servers try and deal with an out of control kitchen. Music is way too loud and doesn’t create the party atmosphere it is trying for. We were not the only table waiting for food for ever either. Here all summer but avoiding this place until 2017.

The beer taps are dirty and all of the drinks are served in plastic cups. Need to get their act together. Nice barmaids

If you love sipping drinks in the sun with your feet in the sand, this is your spot. Very cool atmosphere right on the docks in Oaks Bluff. Music was playing, there was definitely a younger crowd, and the food was great!

Please do not waste your time with this establishment. Rude employees, slow service and food not so great! Waited 10 minutes to be seated to find out there was no hostess and then seated ourselves and waited another 15 minutes before someone came to our table and was extremely rude to us. Went to bar to get drinks and the bar tender was rude also. After 30 minutes of being treated poorly and still no drinks we left. Went to Fish BBnes a few doors down and the it was Excellent! Service, staff and food was fabulous. Highly recommend Fish Bones in Oak Bluffs!

The location is great. Never a wait and can seat a bunch of people. Good for large drinking groups. Food has been bad each time I have gone over the years. Over cooked fish that doesn’t taste fresh and super dry Mahi Tacos dominated by excessive amounts of cabbage and nothing else in them. If your looking to eat I would pass

What a view! Right on the Harbor, great drinks if you get the right bartender– we did not dine here but food looked tasty.

This place is a ton of fun! We were on the Island celebrating our friends 30th birthday and received awesome service. Unfortunately I can’t remember our waitress’s name but she really made our day. When she found out what we were celebrating she went out of her way to make the meal special, bringing the other waiters over to sing and even lit a candle for him. Good food, great service, awesome location, we definitely will be back!

We came here for lunch after getting off the ferry from Hyannis. I had to find a place that was safe for my son to eat. He’s dairy, egg, nuts, and sesame allergic. This place seemed to fit the bill, and they were very knowledgeable. They made me feel at ease. That being said, the little stinker decided he wanted nothing to eat except french fries. Then he wanted to play in the sand on the patio. My husband got a burger, which he said was«almost too big.» My mother’s fish and chips were GIGANTIC. My turkey burger was a great turkey burger. Prices reasonable, given the location. Our waitress was attentive and we had no problems with her at all.

Great and fun place to hangout with friends and food is great! Summer time gets busy. Like the view very much, by the dock.

A very bad experience with this place. A long delay in getting our food after ordering, wait staff that didn’t speak English, needed to make repeated requests for napkins and condiments, and a somewhat surly manager who couldn’t be bothered. So so food. Steer clear.

This place was perfect to have lunch at. We were seated immediately and got lucky when a group left a perfectly shaded table in the back patio area. We had good seating and continued with a great meal. The American burger was delicious and simple. It was just so juicy and exactly how the perfect burger would taste. One of my companions had the bbq chicken sandwich and said that was really good as well. The service was good and looking out at all the boats in the area around was just great. Really great lunch place, the only thing I didn’t like would be the music they played but it’s no big deal.

Sushi happy hour at 10pm… great! Sat at the sushi bar for 15 minutes… Nothing. No waitress. No acknowledgement from the sushi chefs. So I moved to the outdoor bar., and was charged full price for the sushi, had my half finished beer taken away. Oak Bluffs is a tourist destination and they could give a darn if you are happy or not. Never again to the Sand Bar or Oak Bluffs, truly a tourist trap.

Good for drinks and listening to music. Food is Less than poor. Fish tacos are dry and chicken sandwich doesn’t even cover the massive bun they serve it on. Waste of $ 70!

Let me preface this by pointing out that the week before Memorial Day weekend is training time for new employees and a chance for bars and restaurants to fine tune their systems. Expectation bar was low… the kids gotta practice on someone. Thinking that we wanted al fresco seating, as the sun finally showed up, we wandered in off of the dock. It was quite windy, so we sheltered at the outdoor bar. We were greeted by Macarena(newly arrived from Peru), and another fresh bartender from Colorado. Having consumed exclusively seafood for the previous 3 days, we skipped the extensive sushi offering and ordered chicken wings and a burger. The wings came out undercooked… I don’t like to see my chicken’s blood supply network… but the second attempt worked, and the Jerk sauce was tasty(but missing the pungent Allspice flavor). The Cabo burger(Angus beef, fried jalapeños, red onion, pepper jack cheese, romaine lettuce, tomato and avocado on a buttery bun) was five star. Washed down effectively with a couple of Shipyard(Portland, ME) Fuggles IPAs. One of the top 10 burgers of my illustrious eating career. Or maybe I was just craving a burger. Regardless… they nailed it. I look forward to another trip to the Vineyard, maybe a sushi appetizer, but definitely another Cabo burger.

Visiting MV for the first time ever, we wanted to find a lunch place with a patio first and foremost. After walking around some touristy shops and letting our appetites grow, we read some menus and walked into a few different/similar places to make the best decision. For a few reasons we ended up coming back here after passing it by. 1. There WERE free tables outside — the other places were full. 2. they looked to have the biggest menu, including sushi options, which excited me. 3. decent view of the marina, or whatever they call the yacht-docking area. LOL Friendly, standard service. Can’t comment on the inside since we didn’t go inside, but maybe 10 or a dozen outdoor tables with beer umbrellas, with a sand floor, which I love. We chose to sit along outward-facing«bar» style seats though, all four of our party in a row, rather than at a table facing each other. Casual, fun, beach atmosphere. My veggie burger was pretty delicious. The one listed on the online menu doesn’t mention guacamole as an option, but mine was loaded with it(so my assumption here may be wrong, but it seems the four of us ordered off a temporary summer menu perhaps? Since we can’t find our exact choices on the website.) So maybe even writing this is useless, I have no idea. It’s odd.) Anyway, it was yummy with a hint of a spiciness to it and even the seemingly frozen fries I enjoyed.(probably due to the fact that I’ve been on Weight Watchers for a couple of months and haven’t had anything fried recently). :) Another in my party had a bbq chicken sandwich which he says he gives a 4.25÷5, so very good. A grilled cheese ordered by another said it was very good. There were no great-looking vegetarian sushi options for myself once we sat down at the table, which slightly disappointed me, but the veggie burger made up for it. Would I go back? Most likely.

Not very good food at all. Nachos consisted of unmelted, out of a bag cheese and five sliced japs. An insult to a Texan. Do yourself a favor, go next door or go home.

We went here for lunch one day and it was so good, we came back to the island the next day just to come have lunch and relax. Their outdoor area is the best replica of an island restaurant that I have ever had the pleasure to eat and drink at outside of the Caribbean. The loaded tots are life changing. You might have a heart attack after eating them, but they will sooo be worth it.

Came here for the final world cup game(only because coop deville was way too crowded). I ordered a cup of clam chowder and some hot wings, my girlfriend ordered some sushi. Besides being overpriced the chowder came out after my wings and it was terrible as we’re the wings. They were undercooked and just a boring plain Frank’s red hot sauce. My girlfriends sushi was really good she got the«incredible roll» and something called shrimp shimai which was kind of weird but it was still all overpriced even for the vineyard. In conclusion I wouldn’t recommend going to the sand bar unless you are just drinking or its between 10 – 12 pm and you want sushi because its happy hour.

The view is very pretty. And I did enjoy food. I got fried fish sandwich with fries and one beer. Total bill was $ 20 which is not bad at all. I really like the fried fish as you can taste that it was very fresh. I just wish they would cut fish in smaller pieces not just one huge piece. And i got two big pieces of letters which was odd. The fries was good as well. The waitress was friendly however she screw up a lot. My friends order food same time as me and it took 25 minutes for food to arrive. And we saw that food for people who came after us arrive faster. So they need to organize order in kitchen better. And when we all got checks and give credit cards waitress screw up all cards and charge everything to wrong account. Like the food but hate the long wait.

You wouldn’t think a joint like this would have excellent cocktails, but then you haven’t tried their frozen pina coladas… they’re actually made fresh, to order, with real ingredients. Sit at the outdoor bar and have the bartender whip you one up, then relax and enjoy the sun and ocean breeze. Summer in a(plastic) glass.
