Great staff, killer egg, bacon and cheddar on a bagel, and always freshly brewed joe. Conveniently located on Circuit and always worth the visit.

Take out can be the saving grace when the weather is bad however the other day we ordered sandwiches to go and it was a real disappointment. We caught some downpours a few days ago which foiled our plans for going out for lunch so we decided to find something we could pick up and bring back to the house. My wife ordered an Italian grinder and an order of mozzarella sticks to share, mom got a Cobb salad and I got a meatball sub(since they weren’t able to do a custom brisket sandwich). Needless to say all three of us were very unhappy as we ate our meals. My wife’s sandwich didn’t come with much meat and was loaded with pickles and olives which really don’t belong on a real Italian. As for mine, the roll was overlooked which made it hard to chew. The meatballs weren’t bad but the sauce completely killed the sandwich, it tasted like Prego from a jar. I guess the lesson here is that next year we will plan ahead and make sure to have plenty of cold cuts on hand at the house so we can make our own on a rainy day.

Very good sandwiches and would recommend this place. The chicken fajita wrap is excellent. They are a little pricy for a sandwich shop, but compared to other places on Martha’s Vineyard, not too bad.

Pretty hot day in OB so while waiting for the ferry I decided to give the place a try. Friendly help but disappointed in sandwich size. Short sub roll with less than adequate filling. These certainly are not«fat» sandwiches. I got the steak bomb and didn’t find any peppers or mushrooms in the sandwich. Steak was tender though. Also… NO air conditioning. The fountain drink was perfect though. In my opinion this is a run of the mill sandwich joint that is just out to part you with your money. There are plenty of other places close by that are much better.

The food and service were excellent. I ordered a Caesar wrap and a vegetarian wrap to go. Both were very good and so large we could not finish them. The ingredients were fresh, well seasoned and delicious. I would certainly visit them again.

Gotta love this place! You can’t go wrong – among my favorites are the steak bomb, turkey gobbler, buffalo chicken, Portabella wrap and the eggplant parm! There’s something for everyone, making it the perfect stop before the beach. Make sure to call ahead and place your order during the summer to avoid the lunch rush. Great service, quality and price– always reliable.

This is definitely a 3 – 3.5 stars place. I came for sandwiches because another place had a long wait; now I can see why this place was empty :(. Got a fries, the bomb, and a coffee. Best item was the iced coffee of the three. Fries were tasteless. No seasoning at all, just ketchup. A little effort here for such a staple item would have been appreciated. Buy preseasoned fries! Or toss in some seasoning; it’s almost zero effort to throw in some rosemary, sage, some salt — marginal cost too. The Bomb was a greasy mess. Basically a steak an cheese with peppers and mushroom. It lacked flavor. It’s not like cardboard, but close to it: I saw what I was eating, but only tasted grease. Added salt: saved the whole thing. Overall I felt like I had to «finish» the meal I purchased, which isn’t my ideal for going out to eat. Décor was very Baskin Robins, tables were small, but good café size. An old jukebox kept me company while oldie music played. If only the food was better. Not the worst I’ve had. Not worth recommending either. Tip for owners: use better meat, charge a bit more. Less grease, more flavor. Best of luck.

Wow! Had the steak bomb. Incredible. The bread was soft but had the perfect amount of crispness. The steak was cooked to.perfection. Take two for the road.

Usually I try not to be too hard with places on the island during the summer in terms of their service because of the talent pool they have to choose from. It’s hard to get quality staff from the droves of college kids or internationals spending the summer here but the staff here this year are beyond horrible. I’ve been here twice this summer and each time the service was worse than the last. How hard cannot be to take a sandwich order and hand it to a guy 2 feet from you? I guess it must be because I would up with the wrong sandwich on both visits and when I told them about it I got a side of attitude to go with it. Guess they figure they owe you a little extra for the ridiculous prices.

Just might be the best sandwiches we’ve ever had! The Gobbler with a side of gravy, the chicken parm & the Cuban. I’d come to Martha’s Vineyard just to eat one of these again. Make sure you have cash. No credit cards. Very friendly and fast service too.

Got the cheeseburger sub. Apparently minus most of its cheese. Got lettuce, toms, some chopped pickle pieces, guess they were all outta flavor, or hey, maybe i was supposed to ask for that. Hey, but it had a full helping of ground beef! Woop woop! Not likely to try them again. Good luck my friends.

Yummy! Had the turkey gobbler and it was great! A lot of food so I was able to eat half and save the other half for later. I did ask for it on a wrap and received it on white bread but not a big deal. The turkey was fresh because they roast it every morning and being someone that doesn’t eat cold cuts I was very happy. Also great to grab a sandwich and take it to the beach.

I’m surprised this place has such a low rating, for the food they’re putting out. You are unlikely to find a materially better turkey sandwich anywhere. Fresh turkey, good bread, fresh veg… Uh PERFECT!

It is possible to eat a satisfying meal in Martha’s Vineyard without breaking the bank. We had the«hippie» veggie burrito(a solid choice) and the egg salad sandwich(superb). On top of very good egg salad and tasty rye bread, the sandwich had nice green lettuce(no iceberg shreds here), tomato, and diced up pickles(a great addition). Some seating there, or take it to go. Check out the fun, casual decorations of celebrity faces or murals on the wall while you wait. Filling and easy, this spot does the trick so you can get back to exploring the town and surrounds.

One day I had a craving for a turkey, stuffing, and cranberry sauce sandwich. My boss and a customer recommender Skinny Fats. My sandwich was wonderful and very big I only ate half. During the last couple of Weeks I have ordered the Italian sub lately nice amount of meats that are freehand fresh veggies. Jen who is the manager asked me if I wanted to try another sandwich, but at this time I’m hooked on the Italian

I was not impressed by the price, quality or service. I think this is a case of a convenient, well-travelled location allowing a business to get away with overpricing, mediocrity and poor service. In general tourists will just pop in and won’t worry too much because they’re gone soon. 1) I ordered a Greek Salad and a portobello wrap and the total was 18.00. The salad did not include chicken or any other protein and the sandwich did not include any sides or pickles — it was just a small salad and wrap. This seems excessive, especially given the minimal quality. 2) When I arrived I asked if I could get the portobello wrap on bread or a roll instead of a wrap. The cashier told me no. When I asked if I could get any vegetarian sandwich on bread or a roll I was given a firm no(with some attitude of disbelief and irritation, I might add). It seems odd that there are literally no vegetarian options on bread though there are COPIOUS meat options. I think you could slap a portobello cap and some goat cheese on a roll, but I didn’t feel like being demanding. 3) When I was handed the Greek salad I noticed the tomatoes were a sort of weak orange and asked if I could trade it for one that had ripe tomatoes(there were several in the case that looked a little fresher and riper.) The cashier took out a salad with virtually identical tomatoes and said«is this okay?» I tried to explain again(there was no language barrier — she was a native English speaker), but she looked at me blankly and then attempted to transfer the unripe tomatoes from one salad to another. I tried in vain to explain, but then gave up and said never mind. 4) My friend had ordered a pickle(and paid for it!) but it was not included with her sandwich. When we asked, it was given to us with no hassle, but it seems like an unnecessary oversight — especially since the shop was not busy at all. 5) The portobello wrap was reportedly good, but not great. The salad was fine — nothing terrible, but nothing special. I was told the hamburger sub was good. I left with a bad taste in my mouth, feeling like I had to accept the poor service and prices since I was trapped on Circuit and didn’t want to wait in an excessive line or sit down in a restaurant.

I came here once in Sep-2007 and revisited this last weekend. Skinny’s Fat hasn’t changed much in 5 years. I split the Turkey Club with my lady and shared the chicken fingers with el nino. I don’t know which I liked better! I mean, these were premium chicken fingers(if there is such a thing), lightly breaded and great for dipping. You get 10 fat ones, hardly a kids’ size portion. But you should know that going in — everything is big here. Play the jukebox and relax in A/C!

I love Skinny’s! When I’m in the mood for an Italian sub THIS is where I go. NO other place can compete when it comes to mastering the Italian sub.

The portabello mushroom wrap is delicious. It included roasted red peppers, portabello mushroom(of course), lettuce, other things. Anyways, I can’t name everything in my wrap, but it left an overall good impression! I say that with a lot of sincerity because it’s amazing how many sandwich shops mess up the vegetarian portion of their menu. It can come out too salty, or one ingredient overtakes the other, etc. This. Was. Good. My friends all enjoyed their other sandwiches, which were: Italian, tuna melt, and chicken something. Seating is limited; we ate in the ice cream shop next door, but they might allow it since the two shops open into each other?

LOVE me some Skinny’s Fat Sandwiches! Went on vacation in Martha’s vineyard back in August and stopped here for lunch with friends. The atmosphere was very relaxing, hand written signs to order from with the beach boys playing from a jukebox, a very therapeutic experience. Tried their Chicken Philly Cheese steak as well as there Buffalo Chicken sub and good lord! ORGASMIC! Their Chicken Philly was packed full of flavor, ooey gooey melted cheese with fantastic sauteed veggies, sweet bell peppers contrasting the expertly seasoned grilled chicken strips. Their Buffalo Chicken Sub was also very tasty as well, service was quick and friendly and we were greeted with a smile. They also service some fantastic ice cream and ice cream sandwiches here as well! Will definitely pay a visit here again! 5 solid stars!
