Please be careful when paying at register. Twice, last year and this year they have overcharged us. Not by $ 1– $ 2 but by $ 6-$ 10 each time. It was quickly corrected but only because we told them the amount didn’t seem right.

I love ambiance and good music. Honestly, coffee all tastes the same to me. This place has coffee and ambiance. The drink prices are probably average for the Island where everything is a little more expensive, but I had a nice afternoon Facebooking and drinking hot chocolate and looking out at the rain.

Awful place… I do not recommend! The place is filthy, I saw mouse poop and tons of flies in area where they where making my sandwich, and almost said forget it but felt funny doing so. When I sat down to eat my sandwich I had lost my appetite. I was so grossed out by how dirty the p;ace was. Which even made the experience worse was the young lady whom I ordered the sandwich from seemed quite friendly attractive, but to my surprise turned quite ugly when her co-worker came in. With her a thick accent she proceeded to yell at one of the young workers in front of eveyone that was sitting inside the small café. I saw the young girl get off of of a school bus and rushed right into Espresso Love same time as I did. She started yelling at this poor girl very loud. This girl had mega long fake lashes and heavy makeup on with blonde streaks in her hair. I wanted to ask her name because I felt so bad for the young girl that was humiliated in front of her staff and customers. She must have been the manager or the person that this young girl worked for or answered to. I am describing her so that other workers don’t get in trouble there because the others where a blur. The manager or whatever she was had no decorum, was rude, load, and made everyone in the whole entire place look up with shock. This should have been taken in an office, not where all customers can see, which made me feel uncomfortable. It was the combination of mouse poo, flies, and yelling all wrapped up in one that juts made me lose my appetite. I don’t write many reviews because it seems so time consuming but when I feel it’s necessary I do take the time to voice my concerns when well deserved. If this woman isn’t the owner, she should be fired. I will never go back to this establishment and nor would I ever recommend anyone to goto. I have been spending more time on MV but this will not be my goto place when I do. A must know it’s dirty!!! They are very unprofessional!!! I would have the say the whole experience was downright awful!!!

Espresso Love was on our Air B&B host’s «must visit» list… but when the barista didn’t bother to dump out the ¼ cup of melted ice left sitting in the bottom of the cup before proceeding to make our iced mocha, we felt it a bit overpriced at $ 5.(Especially when we heard her first comment to her prep help to «please stop bringing her these cups of melted ice like this»…clearly she noticed the problem, but she felt no need to rectify it??!) We liked the shaded outdoor seating area, but next time we’ll go back to Morning Glory Farm for their coffee and relaxed outdoor seating area instead of patronizing this place again.

We just spent a lovely week in Edgartown and this place was where we always started our day! The food we had was excellent and service was good. It’s quite busy here in the morning but the line moves quickly. We never had a problem finding a table in the garden to enjoy the mornings. Coffee and latte were very good. The blueberry scones are out of this world. The New Yorker breakfast sandwiches were delicious. It’s really a great place.

Great place for an iced coffee — try the nutty Steve! Prices are high but consistent w most other cafes. Last time I was there one of the services made a real effort to work with a mother and daughter to explain how smoothed were prepared & see if she could have one due to allergy concerns. Nice staff!

Very tasty coffee — but, man, this place is a Zoo scene in the morning. The breakfast sandwiches are good, but small for the money.

The $ 8 Katama Chicken sandwich is micro’d chicken(replete with fake grill marks), pepper jack cheese, L, T, O and chipotle mayo on dense, dry focaccia. It’s sustenance, and eating it feels like a lunch break at a corporate retreat(sans Sun Chips and fruit salad that’s all honeydew and soft strawberries). The $ 8 smoothie is fresh frozen fruit, blended with either apple or orange juice. And while the menu might say it has peaches and berries and mango, it’s really just whatever they have on hand. I’m a fan of improv, but if someone orders a strawberry banana smoothie, there’s a reasonable expectation that banana will be a part of it. It wasn’t, and this fact was announced after the drink was made, with a dismissive«It’s better this way anyway!» Silver lining: the cookies are absolutely stellar. Continuous cloud cover: the counter staff were entirely untrained, but it was early in the season, so… training wheels, I reckon.

The coffee and pastries are descent, certainly better than many others you will find on the island. Unfortunately the service was awful. I’ve tried it multiple times hoping it wouldn’t be as bad, but the baristas have always been rude and slightly snobby when I was there. Think Starbucks barista during rush hour in New York– not a pleasant experience.

While Espresso Love serves breakfast all day, we are staying away from their breakfast burrito as it is just not good. The whole wheat burrito itself was half hot and half cold. One piece of avocado was buried inside, and was so small it needed a microscope to see it. Bottled salsa and a rectangular piece of tasteless«egg» makes this a sad way to greet the morning.

EL is right down the street from my home. It had become a dependable part of my day. The staff are very enthusiastic and pleasant. Their beverages are high quality and tasty. Their food menu provides a great compliment for breakfast or lunch. I hope they never go away!

I was in town for work and was looking for a local place to have breakfast and this one kept coming up so I had to give it a shot and lucky enough they had just re-opened so they had an amazing special. For every pastry you purchased they gave you a small cup of coffee. I walked in and ordered a ham and cheese croissant and got the small coffee. The croissant was warm, flaky, and full of flavor. The filing was perfectly balanced and delicious. I couldn’t have asked for a better food and coffee experience.

Yummy and the best place to grab a great lunch in Edgartown. My favorite food here is their chicken and avocado sandwich, but I have enjoyed everything I have gotten. If you are in Edgartown and are looking for a place to get a delicious lunch this is the place to go!

I love this place. A lot. While expensive(everything on MV is) the quality is terrific and I love sitting in the garden having coffee. It makes my vacation to hang out here.

Expresso Love was a really cute coffee shop! We went there every morning we were here! We also had blueberry scones every morning! We tried other pastries but kept coming back to the blueberry scone! Delicious!

The coffee and breakfast sandwich is very good. The blueberry scone is excellent as well as the apple croissant. Have been there two straight days.

To their defense we ordered the wrong thing. But why have something on your menu if you can’t make it perfect. Once we sat down in their backyard space we realized everyone around us was a local with a hot cup of coffee and a scone or a muffin. So whoops… not a place to order an egg sandwich and espresso drink(despite the name) we were really disappointed w our cappuccino. We also got an iced coffee and that was really weak. We are used to Blue Bottle and Stumptown quality espresso drinks and cold brewed coffee and it wasn’t found here.(best espresso was at BTB coffee) The egg sandwiches — the eggs were overcooked but bagel tasted decent and I didn’t hate it, just wasn’t great(best breakfast sandwich was Among the Flowers Café). So come here if you want to hang w the locals w a scone and hot coffee. Maybe you should rename this place to ‘Coffee Love’ instead of ‘Espresso Love’?

Loved this place at first. They messed up my order but what they gave me was great so I didn’t mind. Every time I went back(almost every other day for a week and a half) they messed up my order and got very confused when I asked them to fix it. Coffee is just ok, usually pretty sour– I’d rather go to Toccopurro. Basically the food is good, coffee is lacking and service is horrible.

Love it! The epitome of the perfect, quaint little neighborhood coffee shop. Great menu items for normal food(salads, sandwiches, etc.) and fresh inviting baked goods. Fab coffee. Friendly staff. Wonderful outdoor seating with great vibes amidst the pretty plantings. Other patrons super friendly and fun to talk with…(except the parents with the screaming children, of course… ick!) Love this place. It’s my favorite coffee shop in Edgartown. Breeders, why don’t you just stay home. No one wants to here your screaming ill behaved children. As if…

I have never heard of Espresso Love, despite them having a location in Boston… We went here for a late lunch on a recommendation and were quite happy. The girl who took our order was super friendly and even brought the food out to us on the patio. We split the Chicken Avo BLT(grilled chicken breast, bacon, avocado, mayo on toasted sour dough) and the Tom(turkey, american, lettuce, tomato, sprouts, mayo, cranberry sauce on 12 grain bread). Each sandwich was $ 10.99 and came with tortilla chips(a nice change from regular chips) and a good size pickle slice(yum). The BLT was nice & warm, and full of flavor. The Tom was very good, but not as flavorful as the BLT. I didn’t really taste the havarti… We were given huge cups of tap water, which is a huge plus. One of our biggest pet peeves is when places give you itty bitty cups of water, because they want you to have purchased a drink instead. I might need to make a visit to the Boston location now — if only to try one of the AMAZING looking desserts(blueberry cheesecake bar? YESPLEASE).
