I’m old, fat and slow, but still managed to make my way to the finish line of a half-marathon a few weeks ago… in 10-year-old shoes. I signed up for a half-marathon in the fall, and I decided to do that one in decent shoes that might actually support my feet. A friend recommended Big River, so I headed over there and prepared for the worst — I mean, I’m built more like Jackie Gleason than Jackie Joyner-Kersee. Why would a bunch of young, hip, experienced runners want to spend a lot of time selling me shoes? Honestly, I have no idea — but they did. I walked in and was greeted warmly by everyone in the store — even the other customer buying shoes. I told them my story, and they chatted about races with me, checked out my stride, carefully asked about my preferences and my experiences — and as easy as that, I am the proud owner of a new pair of running shoes that I absolutely love. Not only that, but I had a wonderful experience buying them. I would recommend Big River to absolutely anyone… even slow runners like me!

while the shoes may be cheaper elsewhere(i have nothing to back that up either way), the service is the best. there are knowledgeable runners working there and know how to fit you for the shoes that will help you meet your goals. if you are wanting running shoes, go here, you wont have an experience like this unless you go here.
