O’Fallon Convenient Care-BJC Medical Group

Before I lived in the city I lived at my parents’ house in O’Fallon and this urgent care center is probably less than half a mile away. Needless to say it came in handy for colds and the flu, or that one time when I stepped on a broken beer bottle with bare feet. Yeah… definitely came in handy that time…
The wait time isn’t usually too bad, though you definitely shouldn’t go between 4−6pm, but that goes without saying. The receptionists are not the most friendly people and you can tell they’d rather be sitting on a beach somewhere. Once you get to an exam room, the wait there can sometimes be equally as annoying, but I’ve still experienced worse.
There is a woman doctor there… I think she’s the only one, and I’m blanking on her name… who is fantastic. The lady means business and doesn’t mess around. I would always call before I went to see if she was there. I was trying to avoid this doctor my family calls «Dr. Interesting.» He doesn’t really tell you anything that’s wrong with you, and instead just says «that’s so interesting» over and over. I remember thinking, really? A sore throat is that interesting? And he’s a creeper too, probably on accident, but he is. When he feels your glands/​sinuses/​whatever he does this weird feather-​light touch thing with his sweaty hands and a blank look on his face… ugh! I have no idea what’s wrong with that guy.
This urgent care is reliable and clean, but again, only go if you have to. They also fax your prescription straight to the pharmacy. Isn’t that interesting???
