Denise Ruelas Music

I am so pleased to write a review for my grandson’s piano teacher — Denise Ruelas. Over the almost two years that he has been studying piano with Denise, I have seen him develop from a student who never practiced between lessons, to one who cannot wait to learn a new piece, and who derives tremendous satisfaction from perfecting the one he is working on.
Denise has that rare combination of being so loving and fun-​filled with the children, and also being an excellent teacher! I observe all the children at the recitals, and each one seems to have such a nice relationship with her! Her laugh is infectious and her delight at each one’s progress is so captivating. I think those qualities keep them coming back until they have enough skill to really be enjoying the music they are making. And Denise has a high standard, knowing when to let the little things slide, but always coming back to them to firm up a high standard in her pupils as well.
I can’t remember how we happened to begin lessons for my grandson with Denise, but I am awfully glad that we did! I cannot recommend a teacher more highly and am very thankful to her. She is not only giving a gift to him but to our whole family!
