Vargas Private Music Instruction

Our six year old son has problems with attention, focus, anger and obsessions. One day at a friends house, he expressed interest in their piano. We decided to capitalize on this as a way to help him with some of these issues. Elizabeth has been with us now for several months and we love her! Our goal is not for our son to become a concert pianist (though I’m sure Elizabeth could help you with that if that is your goal for you or your child). We just wanted to help him channel his energy into something positive he enjoys. Elizabeth has truly helped him and he is loving learning music too. She is not only talented, but also patient, flexible, and creative.

Rude and unprofessional. Not a very educated teacher. I had a lesson schedualed and she was very late so I called, and she told me to meet her half way, I told her I was unable to drive and meet her and she asked me why I could afford lessons but not a car to drive me to meet her. She went on to say a few more rude comments that I found were unnecessary.

I am an adult that has just recently taken up piano playing, which has been a lifetime dream of mine.

Liz is wonderful! My daughter loves piano again and Liz’s style of teaching. She is truly a treasure we found. I would recommend her to anyone!

My son is learning guitar from LIz. It’s sometime difficult to get him out to do things, but he never hesitates when it’s time for a guitar lesson. He is playing great baby boomer music at home now like Wipe Out, Love Me Do (Beatles), and Free Byrd (Lynrd Skynrd). This summer LIz is holding the lessons at my son’s friends home. It’s super convenient for us and my son likes having the lesson alongside his friend. He now wants to learn bass guitar so he can accompany his friend.

I started taking piano and guitar lessons with Liz 6 months ago. She is an excellent teacher. She makes the lesson very entertaining and tailors it to what you enjoy to play. She is super friendly and fun to work with. I recommend her highly to anyone interested in playing an instrument

Liz is great. My daughter takes piano lessons with her and we are extremely happy how my daughter is coming along. Liz is very friendly and has a lot of patience teaching little ones. My daughter is very elated having Liz as her music teacher.

Liz is an amazing music teacher and person. I started taking lessons with her when I started flute in the 5^th grade and kept taking lessons wih her through the end of high school. The only reason I stopped was because I moved away to college.
Liz is a true musician. She knows music and she knows how to teach. I was always impressed wih Liz’s ability to make very complex music reachable.
What I love so much about Liz is that she makes music personal. She asked what I was interested in and made sure that I got to learn the type of flute because that is what I was interested in. This is in contrast to some other music teachers I had when I played other instruments earlier in my life.
I remember sometimes I would be tired from school or sports practice earlier, or maybe I had had a rough day, and would not want to go to my lesson. Of course I would go and not once did I regret it. I ALWAYS left lessons happy. Liz made music and lessons fun. She is truly invested in her students. She builds relationships with them. I graduated from college and a teacher myself now and I still talk to Liz to catch up because we are more than just student-​teacher we are friends.
I still think of Liz when I hear Christmas music or Flight of the Bumblebee.
