This is a great spot to get a sandwich, pastry and hot tea. The baked items are wonderful.
My favorite items are the sandwiches served with really perfect house made potato salad. To me, it’s so much better than a bag of chips. They have a very large help your self selection of teas. The interesting thing about the clientele, is it ranges from the mom & kiddies from the nearby library and elders catching up with each other.

I absolutely love this place — we go here all the time for their ham and cheese croissants which are amazing! I love to see all the bakers always working so hard in the back! It’s a family owned family run place — I love it!
I love that they only make a few of each item each day — so you know your item was 100% fresh and wasn’t from yesterday or anything — it also means they often sell out of the item you want so calling ahead to have them put some aside for you is a really good option.

Yummiest pastries! Has been a favorite of mine since I was a little girl. Cute location and great food and desserts. One year we had a German Chocolate Cake for our birthday – BEST German Chocolate Cake ever, and cake in general. Nothing compares to Creekside! Novato local and longtime bakery and hope it stays that way! Love it

An exceptional Swedish style bakery in a quaint location with excellent, friendly service.
The owner Cindy is always very nice and welcoming. I believe she specializes in the desserts.
Over several years, I’ve brought and impressed many unsuspecting friends here; the soups, salads, sandwiches are always made with the freshest ingredients, many times organic and or locally produced.
If you do not save room for dessert, you have made a terrible blunder, my friend

They did an amazing job with our wedding cake and cupcakes! We ordered a 3 tiered princess cake, 20 cupcakes and a sheet cake for our wedding all were gobbled up by our wedding! It was so good and beautiful too! We loved the icing flowers they created and they allowed us to rent their cake base for the day which was a nice addition to the look of the cake.
We love creekside!

They have the best ham and cheese croissant in town, hands down. They do that with generous and tasty ham and decent cheese. They make them on premises that morning and are usually still warm.
They also make some really decent cakes. They are cakes both adults and kids will love, which is hard line to tread. Kids like it sugary, adults like interesting flavors. I got a lemon layer cake from them we all loved.
It’s a good place to work remotely from. They do not have WiFi, but the flower shop next door has open WiFi, strong enough to stream video and VPN. Service is good and the staff clearly likes working there. They have some really solid sandwiches (thinking of the roast beef, the turkey and so on). It’s a quiet and tasty place to work, even if they do listen to 70’s music in Sirius all day.

This is as good as everyone says. This is not big city 5 stars — I’d say 4 to 4.5 stars for a place like NYC, SF, etc. But if you’re in a cute town like Novato, this place is killer. Everything is very, very good. I had a turkey /​cranberry /​chutney /​aioli sandwich that was fantastic. The bread was buttered and toasted PERFECTLY. There was maybe a bit too much meat to other stuff ratio — turkey is not the most flavorful meat — but you’d rather have too much meat than not enough.
Also had a very good croissant, éclair, and bread pudding.
Basically, everything here is consistently solid. And that’s what you want — a place that’s good where you won’t ever be disappointed, even if you also won’t necessarily be blown away.

I ordered a small 6″ raspberry chocolate cake for my boyfriend’s birthday from here back in March. It was such a cute little cake! Lovely, beautiful presentation. The cake was good; I’ve had better cake but it was still so good for a freshly baked cake! I was happy about the price too. I thought it would’ve been more than $ 25. I would definitely order a cake from here again just for kicks.

This is an awesome lunch spot. The sandwiches are really really good. The menu is small but that means what ever they do, they do a great job. My favorite is the albacore tuna sandwich … It comes in fresh baked wheat bread, an awesome non greasy albacore tuna salad, Swiss cheese and green apple. I love anything tuna and this is such a great combination.
I follow this with a tiramisu cake slice which is to die for and then their coffee or espresso. Prices might be a bit high, but this is Novato and that’s to be expected.
The café is small but has a lot of light and you get a very friendly feeling. There’s seating inside and outside. Plenty of parking available too. Highly recommend!

I’ve been to Creekside five or six times in twenty two years, and have never found anything that grabs my taste buds. The coffee is pungent; at best, and it’s always warm and stuffy in the bakery.
The staff is often dismissive, hoping to have a good experience some day as so many others have written glowing reviews.

Creekside did my wedding cake. Now, wedding cakes usually is THEE centerpiece at every wedding reception… but much to my disappointment, I spent $ 500 on 2 cakes which were very plain, not the best velvet I’ve ever tasted and so casual. My husband usually isnt one to care for these sorts of things but even he did not like it at all. Sorry but it was a big let down for a memorable wedding for us (200 guests)…

OMG, how I love their cakes! When I walk in here I am in a sugar heaven! I love how they sell their cakes by the slice or else my waistline might be in trouble! Their lunch sandwiches are great, too, especially since they come with a nice salad. If ever I have a sweet tooth or want to treat myself to a special lunch, I am so here. They also make fabulous themed cakes for birthdays (I had them make a Madmen cake for my hub’s 40th) and I love their seasonal sugar cookies (the Giant’s themed cookies hit the spot for a game day treat!). It’s nestled in the corner of a shopping center, making it a delightful little gem to find.

I still adore Creekside for all the reasons I wrote about before. The almond macaroons are still my favorite. :)
This is possibly the loveliest place in Novato to go for lunch. The people are sweet, and everyone who comes for lunch is a local resident it seems. The sandwiches are always good, and looking out the window at the trees and the little footbridge over to the library reminds me of happy memories of childhood in Novato. I hope Creekside stays here just as is it for many more years to come.

The Associates at the counter were very polite and smile smile when they speak to the customers. The display cases are leveled in steps so you see all of the items easily anf want all of them. The Associates are well informed about the products they serve and present the descriptions in a way that leads you to want to taste each one. I purchased day old bread that I used for toast and it had almost a sourdough flavor to it. So chewy and flavorful. Then there are the light and airy Meringues I bought for my son. He loved them. He said that they were very crispy and chewy. Then there were the Swedish Cookies and the Mexican Wedding Cookies. They were very very tender. Easy to eat more then one.
