As stated in previous reviews, parking can(and probably will be) an issue. Also, as previously stated, some items(dog toys) have an especially wide selection. I usually end up at this location when I am already in the area to do other business(several restaurants are in this block), out of convenance. Prices are what are standard for Walgreens. The store is neat and clean(and as for my usual interest in restrooms, so are they), and well-stocked. There tends not to be as many panhandlers around as some other areas of New Orleans, but pretending not to understand what they are saying lets you by quicker. I think the time of day dictates the length of the line. It convienent. Its a Walgreens. It meets expectations.

Do not use their pharmacy. Worst experience of my life.

So drugstore visits are usually in my F-Uggs, yoga pants, and a ginormous sweater looking real fine. What’s great is THIS drugstore is the mecca for college students who look exactly like this so I blend real well. The parking for this Walgreens stinks during the day since they’re like 7 businesses all vying for parking in this lot, but come 8:30pm on a Wednesday, you’ll definitely find a spot. There’s nearly always a homeless person outside of this location but I feel like that’s average for New Orleans drugstores, just wear your sunglasses till you get through the beepy things, and don’t forget to put them back on as you exit. I’ve nearly never waited in line at this Walgreens, and I feel like I can get in and get out(pending parking, of course). They don’t have beaucoup sales, nor do they have Ginger Ale(today), but for the most part, I’ve found what I needed in this Walgreens. So while it could be an A-OK, It’s getting a Yay! I’m a fan. for no line and the ability to wear my near pajamas with confidence.

Eh, it’s Walgreens. I just use the pharmacy here, and I have accepted that It’s never going to be great. There will always be a wait, even when there aren’t any other customers. Neither employees nor customers will ever look happy. My prescriptions will always be ready 20 minutes to 3 hours later than anticipated. No one will ever change my address in the system, no matter how many times I ask. I’ve run into a few especially frustrating mess-up’s here when dealing with refills and with insurance changes, but for the most part it’s fine. And it will always, always be better than the Walgreen’s at Carrollton and Claiborne, which I’m pretty sure was built on a Hellmouth. If you’re in the neighborhood, it’s worth traveling a little ways down Carrollton to visit this one instead.

I didn’t expect this walgreen’s to be as awesome as the one in my neighborhood, but it does have a wider variety of products within certain categories. I was shocked at the amount of dog treats/toys; they had some pretty nice stuff. It’s always clean, too(that’s expected with Walgreen’s, though). I’ve gone here on occasion over the years, and the only thing that seems to be consistent is that it takes FOREVER to check out. Whether you need a prescription or just regular checkout, expect long lines and a tedious wait.

Pretty clean but the employees aren’t very helpful. Convenient neighborhood store serving the riverbed area. No alcohol sold at the store, but they do sell Haagen Daaz. Best prices on milk around.
