Ordered a breve latte. Got something else with half the cup filled with foam. Staff was busy, but apparently too busy to fix my order.

First let me say everyone is very nice, but… No one seems to have any idea how to make a latte how it’s ordered. Here for a week and my buddy and I both order iced lattes. They’re different every time. Its actually pretty amusing how off they are.

[Out-of-towner Review] Thank you and you suck… are how I feel! Given that you are in a convention center, you’d think although it was the weekend, you’d have better hours of operation. Conventions run 7 days a week. My convention happened to run Sunday — Tuesday. So opening day(Sunday), everyone was jonsing for coffee all day, but after 2PM you were screwed! It was closed… you could endure the gross humidity and/or pouring rain and walk a few blocks to the Marriott Starbucks, but theirs closes early too! Annoyed… to say the least… BUT, for the two remaining days was their saving grace. Although the line was continuously 40+ people deep, these automons kept it movin’! No lie, they were quick and efficient for a very small set-up. They weren’t the friendliest, but they were damn good and efficient with their time… you can’t complain about that… If I walk the length of this convention center, you better reward me with a caffeinated beverage. Your wimpy hours just won’t cut it for all the various people who saunter through here… step up your game, but keep up the good work! It’s a Catch 22, sorry guys! Keepin’ convention’er’s caffeinated on their timetable…

Yay, a Starbucks at the Convention Center. There were 2 conventions going on and the line was at least 10 mins. Fortunately, the staff was organized and had someone down the line to get orders ahead. When it looked like they ran out o f croissant, she told me they had more and pulled them out, $ 3. My latte was more reasonably priced than at other SBs, $ 2.75, the Pike Place coffee was $ 2.25. The only delay was something wrong with their swipe mode at the register and it wouldn’t deduct from my SB gold card so they had to type in the acct number.

This Starbucks is in the New Orleans Marriott at the Convention Center. They have strange hours from 7am to 3pm. So if you need an afternoon pick-me-up get there before 3pm otherwise you are out of luck. I am glad this Starbucks was here because I don’t think there were any other coffee shops within a few block radius. The staff working there were super sweet — especially Beth, she’s awesome! I came here a lot during the week of Mardi Gras because I am a Meeting Planner and had a conference at the hotel that week. The hotel gives you a mug that you can use while working that will give you unlimited whatever you want refills at this Starbucks. BRILLIANT! Why don’t more hotels do this? I love it! The hotel staff was always asking me what I wanted and taking my mug to the Starbucks and filling it up with a soy latte or mocha. They even washed it for me in the mornings! The only downside are the limited hours, and when I came there once and asked if there were bagels or oatmeal they said no(like no as in they don’t carry it) so I didn’t have any breakfast options because I’m vegan. However when my friend came like 5 days later and asked if there was oatmeal they had it. Perhaps they were just out of it the day I asked but the way it came across was not that they had run out, but that they just didn’t carry it. Once I found out they had oatmeal I too got it. As a vegan I can’t eat their other pastries/breakfast items. Also because it’s in the hotel you don’t get the waivers for using your registered Starbucks card like you do at other Starbucks. Meaning that in most Starbucks if I pay for my latte with my card they waive the soy tax but this one doesn’t. So that makes all my drinks around $ 0.60 more than I usually pay. BOOSOYTAX. Anyway this place is a life savor. I can’t run a conference without a Starbucks. It’s seriously one of the most important features to a hotel if I am looking at a site. Besides the few things mentioned above, it’s just like any other Starbucks: quick, friendly, convenient.
