This place has great space and decent food. They have a ton of pool tables and arcade games. The customer service was on point. The bartender maintained our drinks without losing any of the food service. This place has great ambiance and even an outside patio.

I planned a bar crawl through mid city with a group from out of town. Just on «spec», I added Shamrock to the crawl. We planned on arriving at 2PM and when I sent them a note letting them know, the y informed me that they do not open until 3PM, but would open early for us. First Star! As we walked form our previous stop and turned the corner to where google maps said this spot would be we stopped dead in out tracks. We were facing a strip of businesses: clothing store, electronics store, etc. We thought maybe it’s around back but one of us noticed the giant«Shamrock» sign above the businesses. so we walked over and found glass double doors infant of the clothing store and realized it was a door to a stairwell which leads to the second floor, Ah Ha! it’s upstairs. Second Star! I was at the back of the pack while going up the stairs and when the peeps in front got to the top, the oohs, ahas and choruses of «Holy Shit» made me pause. What have I gotten us into. When I reached the top I did the same! This place was the size of all the stores below just a large cavernous space with pool tables, dance floor, foosball, darts, giant games, basketball, beerpong, pingpong, etc., etc., etc. It was gigantic! Star 3! On the left there was a huge bar with an adorable bartender in a sports uniform of some kind. She opened the bar early for us and was informative and put up with all of our crazy questions about the oversized sports bar. Star 4! Our grouped participated in a few video games and sports games. We were blown away by this place and I think the fact that we had it all to ourselves probably made it even more fun. Oh, did I mention an outdoor patio? Star 5! We had a blast here!

We tried this place for the first time last weekend after seeing countless commercials about it. We were pretty happy with the place. There were plenty of pool tables, we played for an hour. The Pac-Man battle game was pretty cool as it pits players against one another instead of just the ghosts. We sat at the bar to eat. I had the steak special which was yummy and my wife had the Philly cheese steak sandwich, which was loaded with Philly steak. The mashed potatoes and gravy I had with my steak was good. The only thing that irked me was that one of the arcade games took my two quarters and didn’t work. I didn’t address it with anyone as I wasn’t too concerned with 50 cents. The service was pretty good. We’d definitely come back, but earlier to enjoy the $ 2/hr pool special.

Pretty cool place! Food was ok, wife had a pretty good burger with fries and I had a cheesesteak sandwich that was ok. Cool arcades, tons of beers, great pool tables and a live band. The place does get very crowded but there is no smoke since they don’t allow it which is awesome!

2/1/16-I was really craving a cheesesteak. A Liberty Cheesesteak. But I wasn’t about to drive down to Feret to have it. Soooo I decided to hit Shamrock again. Because it’s always greasy goodness. And sometimes… just sometimes… they nail it. I don’t remember ever having their cheesesteaks. Doesn’t mean I didn’t…just that I don’t remember. So on a quiet Monday night I slide up to the bar to place my order Welp round 1 not good. I ordered it dressed, with mushrooms. Got it totally plain(time check 11:05) (11:14) holy. Smokes. The game is changed. Forever. Not a sub. A sandwich. Not shredded beef particles. SLICED. BEEF. With hot crisp fries. My word. I’m a Yankee. I eat submarine sandwiches. The occasional hero. Seldom po boys. Forget all of that. Look at the picture of this monstrosity. I wolfed it down. In like 10 minutes. I’m going to have heartburn. I WANT it. Shamrock. Just when I couldn’t love Mid-City again, you do this. Is this a review update? Or the ramblings of a degenerate? The only way to know is to order the Shamrock cheesesteak. And see for yourself. If you’re waiting for inside info on the atmosphere, read earlier reviews. Think: Dave & Busters for people that buy used furniture. Trust me. It’s a compliment. Come as you are. Stay. Shoot pool. Listen to the ever changing music selection. Drink. Be Merry. Go home.

I was a bit skeptical at first because this place is in a strip mall next to some clothing stores but you walk in and it is a huge arcade! For adults! Jell-O shots in syringes and pitchers of beer to play beer pong… Reminded me of college… But who doesn’t want to go back to college?

SHAMROCKISSOMUCHFUN, YOUGUYS. Ok, let’s get this out of the way — it loses a star because it’s in a strip mall and because sometimes the bartenders can be creepy. But onto the good stuff: Shamrock is a massive physical space, which allows it to house hundreds of games. They have skee ball, NBA Hoops, shuffleboard, DDR, pool, beer pong, air hockey, and basically any other arcade game you could think of. Never underestimate how fun it can be to drink a beer and run around a giant arcade playing children’s games. This isn’t a place where I’d stop by to grab a drink — if I’m coming to Shamrock, I’m going to commit a solid two hours because there’s simply that much to do. Definitely bring a big ol’ bag of quarters and a huge group of friends. This is such a fun time, you’ll forget you’re in a random Mid-City strip mall.

Shamrock never lets me down when I’m looking for random fun! My friends and I go here when we want to have drinks and play the«big kid» games. There’s something for everyone: pool tables, air hockey, jenga, table tennis, beer pong rooms, and that’s just a portion! Some nights you can catch a live band, and other nights you can be the band with some karaōke! Shamrock attracts the younger 20s crowd; which is to be expected with several colleges and universities near by. I haven’t ordered much food from here, but their spinach dip and hot wings and fries are a perfect meal for a game of beer pong! Grab a pitcher or PBR and a round of fireball and hit the back rooms!

Let’s talk about it. Up a huge set of stairs that look like they could be your downfall(see what I did there?) when the night’s over… It’s a huge space. Cavernous. Dark. Full of people who are all having fun. There’s bowling and batting(I think) and video games, and air hockey and pool and skee ball. I’m not a huge gamer, but I really enjoy Shamrock. The drinks are well priced & well poured, the food is decent, the games are fun. If I’m not mistaken there’s a constantly rotating special on «liquor they’re trying to get rid of» for the adventurous people who like variety in their drinking lives. I always lose track of time in here, between the hour and a half it takes for me to finish a game of pool and the drinks that don’t take nearly that long to finish. I’m terrible at shooting pool and really good at handling jack&coke. There’s big connect4 and big jenga for those of us who aren’t skee ball pros, too. Plenty to do including live music on certain nights and Karaōke on Sundays.

When in Mid-City…you Shamrock! Cheap drinks, great bar food, games, and the occasional live band. Great for a date or just to hang out with some friends. We love the life size Jenga and its one of few places I’ve found in the city where you can enjoy a rival game of beer pong.

A weird cross between a college game bar and a biker bar. It’s a bit divey but what bar in NOLA isn’t? It’s worth a trip to grab a drink here every once in awhile. The long and short of it: 1. Games Games Games. The only real reason to go here over other bars. There are several dart boards, upwards of 10 pool tables, an air hockey table, a foos ball table, a shuffle board table, 2 mini bowling lanes, arcade games(woot DDR!), ping pong tables, giant Jenga and giant connect 4. If you can’t find something to entertain yourself here then you’re a strange person. 2. Smoke. It’s really smokey in here at basically all times. So much so that I recently had a friend leave to sit in the car for a bit. You’ve been warned. 3. Beer Selection. Good beer selection at decent prices. Nothing stellar but better than some other bars. This is a great place to come if you’re looking to play some bar games. Other than that it’s not really a must. Overall Grade: C+

«It’s like an adult Chuck-E-Cheez» is how I describe this place to anyone who asks. Sometimes it feels like there are kids in there who belong in a Chuck-E-Cheez but more often than not, it’s a good crowd. You’ve got at least twenty pool tables, there’s ping pong cages, beer pong, karaōke, arcade games, darts, foosball, air hockey, full bar with food(their chicken fingers are IMO, the best bar chicken fingers around. I’ll go there anytime I’m in a mood specifically for chicken fingers), they come with fries and a little pack of Tony’s for seasoning. The drinks are very reasonably priced, the bartender’s are pretty on point, even when it’s ant-pile-busy in there, I’ve never felt like I’ve had to wait a painful amount of time to get my order in. It’s a really cool place to hang out, take a date, chill with friends, whatever. It’s a really good venue to throw a party at, the floor space is enormous, surely plenty of room for having a good time.

If you want to play pool there is no better place than Shamrock. They have over 20 pool tables. And if pool isn’t your thing they also have ping pong tables, an air hockey table, darts, this mini bowling game, and some video games. What else can you do at Shamrock? Karaōke night on Sundays! A photo booth to capture those great drunk pictures. Beer pong tables. And they also have hula hoops there in case you’re in the mood to workout your torso :) Game prices are all inexpensive. Not really sure on prices(I’m bad with prices. I just pay whatever it is without asking or looking at receipts). I think pool tables rent out for $ 6/hr. Darts and ping pong tables are comparably priced. The food is also pretty good. I eat the chicken tenders almost every time I go and they always hit the spot. The bar food offers a nice variety of food that includes red beans and rice, gumbo, steak, philly cheesesteak sandwich, burgers, and more. The only issue I would have at Shamrock is that on crowded nights it could be bad for people that don’t like cigarette smoke since they do still allow smoking here. Luckily I don’t come here on busy nights so I’ve never had to deal with smoke much. All in all, Shamrock is a really fun place to hang out with friends whether to play games or just drink at the bar. The bartenders are all fun and outgoing. Love Rochelle, Tracy, and Cecilia.

The Good: Walking distance from my house. I love Mid City! CHEAP drinks. $ 2PBR? Yes, please! Great assortment of games(pool, ping pong enclosed in cages so you don’t have to chase your ball, punching bag, mini bowling, darts, pool, etc.) Friendly bartenders The Bad: Smokey I wish they had cornhole

After reading Teneha’s review I decided to check it out. That and it is really close. This is one big huge sports bar. They got lots of pool tables, dart boards, table tennis and lots of other games. They even have a karaōke night out here. The staff here is pretty cool. I will admit they do kinda give you the airport security treatment at the door. The bartenders were pretty chill though. I noticed this place serves food though I have yet to try it. The drink prices were medium, not cheap but not expensive either. Great for groups, I mean this place is effin huge! My only gripe was the cigarette smoke. It gets rather monotonous if you linger for too long(which is why I took a star off of this review). In short huge sports bar, decent drinks, nice staff, good place so long as you can put up with the cigarette smoke.

Shamrock is shamROLLIN!!! Any given night you can hear live music, for a cover of course, darts, pool, hoopin… This is adult fun packaged in disguise. Located in a strip mall, who would’ve thUnk something of this magnitude would be in this strip mall in the Mid City Area??? Formerly the location of the recently relocated Rock-n-Bowl, Shamrock is the place to be for a quick bite, booze, darts, pool, mini-bowling, hooping & live music. The dance floor & stage area are giNORMOUS!!! Recently they’ve added & are utilizing a 2nd bar, how sweeeeet is that??? I mean right by the restrooms, go empty your bladder & come out to get it refilled!!! #winwin. Playing pool or darts requires you to pay at the bar ahead of time, no coin operations here. That’s cool because once you play your turn you have to return to the bar to pay again or move on. Food is also paid for at the bar & delivered by the other employees who can be seen busting tables & the like. Ladies bathroom has a large powder room & then there’s a separate toilet area, thats great because not allll the time that you go to the bathroom are you really going to the bathroom; sometimes we have to powder our noses. Weekly drink specials. Full bar. More than 25 beers on tap, live music, food & fun… Most assuredly local & visitors alike get #turntup here!!!

I had the chance to check this place out for a friend’s birthday party and of course, I enjoyed it with the eye of a Unilocaler ;-) First thing that struck as wow was what it looks like in there with no more blowing lanes. I sort of had the notion that blowing alleys were like a non removable thing, kinda like elevators and bank safes. Guess not. It still resembled the old Rock and Bowl though, the cluttered home feeling and look, which I kinda dig. Second thing I noticed was HOWLOUD the music is. I read Jen L.‘s review about this place before hand, and same thing happened to us all, we lost our voices by the end of the night, and had the wonderful ringing in the ears. Aside from that, I had a great time. We played darts, danced a little to a Chip Forstall band and ate the decent bar food that they sell. Chicken strips, fried and cheese stixs. All good stuff when your buzzing super hard :-) Definitely a lot of people watching to be had here. The different types of people in there was cool too. Not just frat boys or thugs or boring people like myself, all types mixed in. The beer selection is good too. I believe like 8 or 10 on tap and a bunch of bottled stuffs. The staff was fast and friendly too. I am looking forward to going back again with friends to play some darts and do some shots again

Shamrock is one of my favorite places to people watch and play games, so I decided to have my Nerdy 30 Birthday Party there. The staff was beyond helpful in allowing me to set it up there. Upon first contact, it was a quick turnaround and answered every question right off and made me feel real comfortable with my decision. The Deposit was only $ 50(refunded once your party starts). They allowed for a 2 hour open bar for about $ 15 per person, as well as receiving free games of pool, darts, and ping pong. You really can’t go wrong with that. I was able to reserve a pretty large section, where I was allowed to decorate everything just the way I wanted and bring in my own food, which I was excited about most of all. Everyone had a great time!!! The only issue was the music, wasn’t too exciting. They went from things like Ice Ice Baby to Adele«Someone like you», which could be a Debbie downer vibe right there. Other than that the venue is perfect for easy going party and a great staff that actually works with you. If planning any small party, I advise to reserve at least a month in advance to ensure you get the larger area closer to the Dj booth, with the longer tables. One last thing… I’m hardcore about my parking… In lot parking is a big deal to me, which they do have!
