Winstons is my favorite place in the city to grab a drink. The staff is very friendly and knowledgable, and the patrons are jovial. I’ve been going to this pub for quite some time now and there’s nothing like sitting out on their back patio with friends and enjoying the night air. It’s wonderfully decorated inside and out with a great selection of drinks. I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a nice, cozy bar in the Metairie area.

Winston’s is a nice class public house. This place is literally 5 mins from my buddy’s new place and I’ve been here a couple times. It’s a classic public house with a nice warm atmosphere, interesting decorations and cozy feel to it. Nice comfy couches to sit back and relax and drink a pint or few. My only gripe is that they could have a few more beers to choose from and the fish and chips were«ok». Not the best fish and chips I’ve had in a pub, but not the worst. I hear their burgers are great, so I’ll get one of those instead from now on. I’ve not been out to the patio because it has rained EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. I’ve gone there, but it sure looks nice as well. I’ll be back often, that’s for sure.

How have I missed this place for so many years? Oh, because of that invisible line between Jefferson Parish and Orleans… even though it literally only took us 3 minutes to get home to MidCity at the end of the night. Walking in, I knew there was something special. Beautiful atmosphere of a true English pub with large brown soft leather couches, wood paneled walls, British Flags and memorabilia, dim candle light. One from our group thought the place could be haunted… We all got a round of drinks at the bar, average pricing, quick and friendly service. The drinks were strong and it was easy to settle into the couches. As midnight approached, they seemed to have a surge of patrons, perhaps service industry workers coming off shift. It got a bit loud in the bar, so we decided to call it a night. Winston’s feels like the kind of bar you just go to. Not a first stop, not a last stop… just the only stop. Would be easy to waist away the hours sipping on cocktails and enjoying easy conversation. There’s something a bit transcendent about the place, I can’t think of another Greater New Orleans area bar that has the same vibe. Good for locals and tourists alike!

First time visiting this Metairie bar and I fell in love. The atmosphere was warm and inviting and felt as comfortable as a good friend’s living room. The décor is wonderfully styled with antique objects and wall hangings.

I used to stop in to Winstons a few years ago when it was still a cigar bar. Since I don’t partake that was a big minus for me. But not too long ago I met some friends there and learned that it’s now a non-smoking establishment. And so, with its excellent beer on tap selection, friendly bar staff and patrons, it’s now my go-to place. My problem now is that I have a hard time leaving

LOVE Winston’s. Started going here when we moved to the area, and I wish more people would go! The drink prices are great, the atmosphere is also great. I only refuse to give it 5 stars because of my experience with the staff. I am probably overly nice in ordering my drinks and every time I tried to order my bartender was a turd, for lack of better word. The outside patio is beautiful and even nice on hot summer nights. Great for late night drinks with a date or a group celebration.

Cool little British Pub. Dive enough to love and clean enough to yuppie about. Place actually has couches and shiz… Who does that? Nobody! That’s why I love this place. Feelz like home. Well without the bill of course… and the nice ladies serving me beers… Or bringing my sammiches. Speaking of the food. You want loaded cheese fries? Well these guys have cheese waffle fries. With sour cream, bacon, jalapeño, and and… Sorry got carried away. They are that good. Burgers was cooked to perfection and very large especially for the price so bring your appetite. Nice selection on draft too. So if yer filling up to it laddy… Let’s get pissed!

This is a lovely English«Pub» in a great neighborhood, with a great patio. So sad that the employees are RUDE, RUDE, RUDE. The area is flooded with choices of nice places to go, what makes the difference is service! So sad that employees can make or break a business.

Since Winston’s has gone smoke free it has become one of my favorite bars. They make good drinks, and they have good beer on tap. They have a classic interior, and a great patio. Definitely one of my favorites!

Took my girlfriend into Winstons to eat burgers and have some drinks… It’s close because we live nearby. The bartender refused to accommodate a simple request of combining our fries into one order with cheese on them. We even offered to pay extra. In addition, he was extremely rude and acted put out. My girlfriend was so shocked, that she asked if we could just leave. So we paid for our bottle of wine and left. Went to Conola and had a great dinner. It’s too bad some business owners will put a rude person in such an important role of a business. Will never go to Winstons again.

Decent bar with a Winston Churchill theme where most of the folks that live around Metairie Road seem to congregate. It seemed like more of a fun and happening spot before Katrina but it still gets quite crowded in here at times with a bit of an older crowd. They had a fire and had to do some remodeling repairs on the inside and they also built a nice deck patio in the back. The food is decent but the beer prices have been creeping up of late but thankfully they have finally gone smoke free inside.

Winston’s has always been a favorite of mine. I don’t know what it is. I really think that it’s the atmosphere. The all wood interior really does make you feel as if you are in an English pub and the people here are always nice and friendly. I really like the fact that it doesn’t get too crowded in here and most of the people are just stopping in to get a drink before going out or just to sit and chat with friends, I think that my favorite part has to be the leather couches that are off to the side. That little nook is so cozy and it feels like you are in a cabin somewhere. I really wish that they still had the jukebox with the Frank Sinatra albums on there, but oh well. They are currently renovating the patio, and when that is complete the bar will be completely smoke free inside.

Winston’s used to be my neighborhood hangout, then it burned down… then I moved out of the neighborhood. Well, I just came back to town recently and heard that my old watering hole was back… so, I headed over to Winston’s excited to see the big renovations. Surprisingly… absolutely nothing has changed. It literally looks EXACTLY as I remember it. Somehow they rebuilt it as if it never closed… which is fine with me! I found myself quickly right back at home and enjoying my favorite drink with a cigar and a couple of good friends. BOTTOMLINE: Why mess with a good thing?

Living in Old Metairie I’ve driven by Winston’s countless times but until last night never been inside. Overall my experience was positive even if it was a mixed bag. GOOD: I really liked the ambiance and decorations. Really felt like a pub. GOOD: Pretty good tap selection, about a dozen beers listed on the board at the end of the bar. BAD: the Guinness is on a CO2 tap, which makes it taste funny and it lacks the signature bubbles. GOOD: The bartender was super friendly and attentive. Also when I opened a tab they swiped my credit card and handed it back. I wish more bars did that. BAD: While it wasn’t too bad at first it was getting progressively smokier as our visit went on. GOOD: the food is standard pub food but done quite well. My companion had the fish & chips and said it was delicious. My chicken tenders were fried just right without being greasy and the sweet potato fries some of the best I’ve ever had. In cooler weather I’ll certainly go back and check out the patio where the smoke won’t gather and be an issue.

Food was nothing special, but the Pimms Summer Cup was AMAZING, and ye olde pub ambience was nice.

Old Metairie is a beautiful area of town. I love it there and of all the places in the area I love Winston’s the most. Winston’s has been a staple Old Metairie bar for me for years. It has a great comfy feel to it with the sofas, red flooring, and amazing wall décor. They have a really good food selection. The bartenders are friendly(Cliff is the man). Nice patio out back. The digital jukebox is always a hit with me and my friends. And board games! Some of the issues I have with Winston’s: smoking permitted and gets way too loud in there. After spending 5 ½ hrs here last night celebrating my friend’s bday, I can still say that Winston’s is a friendly and fun spot in Old Metairie. Definite hotspot in Metry!

My grandparents live a 10 minute walk away. When you are staying with people who are in bed by 7:30 — 8:00, a place like this is a life saver. Like others said, it does get crowded, and can be hard to find a spot. I really wish they’d add fans outside. I like the décor and the feel. The people are really nice, and it feels almost like a townie bar some where else if all the townies were wealthy, smoked cigars, and drank scotch. Also, late night food service in Metairie is a HUGE plus.

This is one of Mr KC Masterpiece’s favorite place. During our four day beer beige recently this was the first recommendation from him each night. On the fourth night I reluctantly agreed. This place gets way too packed. More than likely you won’t find a seat here. They do have a patio out back but it’s rather closed in. When it’s 90 degrees and super humid, I doubt you’d want to sit out there. Maybe if they put up some fans. The place gets an extra star for serving food after hours. Might have to give them extra two or three stars if you’re starving. There’s nothing to eat around there at night. Full bar but beer on tap is limited. They do have Guiness, my fav!
