Wandered in here after walking all day and figured it was worth a try for a quick 20 min. foot(reflexology) massage.(Nice guy at the door with reflexology diagram got me in the door) First, the place is called Sereni“tea”. You walk in and there is a ton of tea on display. I asked if I could have a cup of tea and was told No. Wasn’t even offered water. The older guy who massaged my feet was definitely not trained or experienced. He was rough but did not apply any pressure. A nice woman offered to massage my shoulders at the same time for an add’l $ 12. She did this for about 10 mins and this was better than the entire foot massage. I’m a firm believer in posting great reviews when I have pleasant experiences but this place was not good and is wasting space on Tchoupitoulas.

Foot massage was a waste of time and money. Pressure was not enough but they never asked to see if it was good or bad. Be prepared that they try to upsell you while you’re there too. That being said the two friends there with me had a better experience than I did.

BEWARE This place is a scam. Two of us went in for a 40 minute foot massage and ended up being charged $ 204. They said it was $ 48/each for the foot rub and another $ 48/each for the neck and shoulder massage. Which we did not ask for. The woman massaged my neck one-handed while talking and texting on the phone. Worst. Experience. Ever.

Touristy massage parlor near Canal St who’s business model appears to be luring tired passerby’s into their ‘open-air’ lounge then ‘up-selling’ the hell out of them. During a recent NOLA trip, I was unfortunately that knackered passerby that got sucked in by the sidewalk barker’s «10 mins massage for $ 12» spiel. And about 7 seconds after stepping foot inside, as I sat down to take my shoes off, I was pummeled with a full-court press ‘UP-SELL’ the likes of which the Pelicans would be impressed by! Next moment I was face down in the table(which smelled of feet btw) and found myself having to suddenly negotiate down from a one hour full-body massage which was not what I was looking for. And they weren’t happy with my resistance. But to be fair, once we got to the agreed upon 15 mins(no easy task mind you) the massage itself wasn’t bad… but for the money & the hassle, you’re best to just keep on walking past.

The massage 4 Atmosphere 3 Experience 3 One of the many reflexology massage place or near canal street. The masseurs technique is sound enough. The go pretty high pressure which I prefer. The room is sufficiently clean and open. This is clothes on so the tables are just out in the open. There’s no real privacy. Chinese pop music plays in the background. This isn’t a relaxation spa. My main beef is the up-sell. You ask for 30 minutes, they try to sell you 40. You want a back massage, they try to add a foot massage. They actually took my socks off and started giving me a foot massage that I didn’t ask for. It was hard to say no to it in that susceptible state. Overall, decent massage, but know what you want going in an stick to it.

Great massage. Nice people. Best one on New Orleans. I’m the first review but don’t let that scare you. I left a Tao spa because the guy had no technique. This guy was GREAT.
