Great bartenders. Hidden gem. Nice spot off the beaten track. Food was quick and very good. Clean bar with a staff that welcomes all.

One of the worst places I’ve ever eaten. I ordered the«meatball sandwich» it was a hamburger patty cut in half on a bun with pizza sauce on it. Overlooking the bland dry hamburger patty, they ruined it further by cooking it totally burnt black. Overlooking the black, hard, crunchy exterior, the acrid/bitter taste made it completely inedible. The bar tender asked if I wanted a box. I told her no it is not edible. She just took it and threw it away… No comment. No offer to give my money back or make something else…

If you are going for a late night snack and staying in a near by hotel(5 mins away), you should AVOID this place! Took 1 hour and 15 mins to get some hard chicken fingers, cold french fries and warm soda. Thanks for nothing!

This place was a complete joke. Took over an hour for some hard chicken fingers and dried out /cold fries plus a hot Sprite. Not to mention it was only 5 mins away from our hotel. Complete waste of money. Would have rather went to sleep hungry vs waiting for this crap.

When the bartender asks if the pizza is better than Papa Johns — your standards are quite low. Pizza was average — not horrible. What was horrible was the reggae music blaring. Beer and liquor selection is meager.

Got a pizza but by the time I got it to our motel room around the corner is was gooey. It was not cooked long enough or too much cheese? you decide.

Wish that I could give no stars. Ordered a chicken sandwich(Kubi) and by the time I got to the middle saw that it was still raw in the middle. The wings were chewy and not thoroughly cooked. Order at your own risk!!!

Gave this place 1 star because I could not go lower. We ordered our food and was promised that we would receive it in 30 min. We called the place multiple times, sometimes they would not answer the phone or it went to the bartender’s voicemail. When they finally answered they said the delivery guy was coming on a bike and he would be here soon. An hour has past and we called once again. They said the delivery guy came back to the restaurant but we haven’t gotten it yet. We got a hold of the delivery man and he was not going by bicycle. And he is not at the restaurant but is almost here for delivery. When we got the food the pizza, Calzone, and mozzarella sticks are cold. The only thing that is hot was the wings because they had to make a new batch due to giving our order away to someone else.

If I could give them 0 stars I would. We called and before we placed our order for delivery we asked how long. They told us 45 minutes and so we placed our order. We called after an hour and they promised that due to the rain they were delayed and it was to only take 20 more minutes. We called an hour and 45 minutes later and they stated that it should be here. Each time we had to repeat our order, name, and where it was to be delivered. 2 hours later our pizza was delivered and see the photo on what it looked like. They did not offer a thing to make it right. 1st and last time we do business.

This place was recommended to us by the front desk attendant at our hotel for a quick bite to eat nearby. The service was quick because we were the only customers there on a Saturday afternoon. We ordered the chicken avocado pizza. The chicken was tasteless and dry and the avocado was more of a spread which wasn’t what I was expecting. We also ordered a couple of burgers which is hard to go wrong with. Our Kentucky burger was missing the bacon and onion ring that it was supposed to come with and when we mentioned it to our server(who was also the bartender), he told us to go back to the kitchen and tell the cook(who was also the manager apparently) ourselves. Then he proceeded to eat our leftover onion rings. Don’t eat here unless you want food poisoning.

I came to Kubi’s for a networking event last night at about 7:15PM. When I got there to my surprise the place was packed. The turnout for this event was awesome. Kubi’s has definitely a dive feel, and look, but I soon got over that. I ordered my first round of cocktails, which were taken care of by our hosts, and started to move around the room. About ten minutes I suddenly felt like I was in Las Vegas in August! It was sooooo hot in here I had to shed my jacket. I looked around the room and just about everybody was sweating due to the extremely high temperature in this place. After about 45 minutes I couldn’t take it any longer. I went and stood near the door to try and cool off… But wait, we are in New Orleans in June! It was hot by the door too! I’m not sure if we caught this place on a night where there were just too many people for the air conditioner to keep up with, or if this place is just that much of a dive. The drinks were fairly priced and the food looked okay, but I just couldn’t get a good groove going because this place was absolutely steaming hot!

Yum! The food is very tasty. Pizzas and wings, especially. I’ve never been to the actual location, only ordered delivery. The delivery is slow. the one downside.

Why is the fried chicken here so damn good? Like… its a bar. Nobody ever has high expectations for bar food. I expect«meh» at the very best… however, Kubi’s decided to whew us with their fried chicken and cocktails. It was so good I caused a bar fight and got kicked out when they refused to give me the recipe. Unfortunately, I am banned from returning to this location but I recommend you go here and be amazed by the party wings. One thing I like about this spot is that it was slightly away from the tourist areas so the people you sit next to are more so locals. The female bartender Alanna was super friendly and knows her way around a good drink!

If you wanna something at late night, you should definitely go there! I’ll give it seven stars to their boiled crawfish. The size of one pound crawfish here is as twice more as that in any other place of New Orleans and tastes sooooo good! The owner who is a black guy is also very very nice and friendly that as we almost finish eating he have us another half pound for FREE! If I knew this place earlier I would not go to any other restaurant in French quarter for crawfish!

It was midnight takeout a couple blocks from Bourbon Street. Two stars because they deliver late, the food came on time and it was edible. Only two stars because the food was only edible after I removed half of the items from my calzone. My boyfriend and I ordered the Kubi Special Calzone(Pepperoni, Sausage, Ham, Mozzarella, Ricotta and Tomato Sauce) and Buffalo Chicken Wings with Ranch. If you told me the ham on the calzone was spam I would have believed it. There was a complete lack of flavor and the texture unpleasant. They must have been out of sausage and figured they’d substitute it with chicken. The chicken was a gray/yellow color and a very tough texture. I picked both the ham and chicken out before eating. There was little, if any, ricotta in it. On the plus side, the dough was good and so was the sauce. The wings were good. I wish there was more sauce on them, but that’s mostly personal preference. One of my pet peeves for restaurants is when they don’t make there own ranch. It’s quick, easy and tastes 100% better than jarred ranch that has a 3 year shelf. Unfortunately Kubi’s opted for jarred ranch.

Went to Mardi Gras 2015 and the people we went with live there and always hang outside this bar to see the parade floats. The staff was super friendly. The pizza was really good and it’s location off Canal st also helps. We drank here two days in a row and had a great time.

Food Game Serious. Open Late. PIZZA, PIZZA, PIZZA: rare to find in New Orleans. Reasonable drink prices for such a popular area. Bartender Murat is adorable and makes bomb ass drinks(he’s a bar star). Bartender Danielle is a sweetheart and takes care of her patrons. Look for Hot New Yorker named Mary; sometimes wears a pink wig– she makes a killer Long Island Ice Tea.

New owners. Tuesday has $ 11 all you can eat wing night. Several different flavors to choose from. Being across from Harrah’s and several hotels, the prices are good across the menu both food and drinks-wise. Their pizza is delicious – and does well after putting in the fridge and re-heating(or just cold). French fries are a must-eat. Bartenders are friendly, with one or two pouring heavy – a good thing in my book. I can always ask for more mixer if too strong. TVs for sports are also a plus. The ambiance is divey but with some laid back class. With it being carnival season, will be very active with drink and food specials I am told – so stop it over the next two weeks.

I got a flyer under my door at the LaQuinta Inn from Kubi’s Bar and Café. I decided to look them up on Unilocal and they had good reviews. I started to order lunch to be delivered. Instead I decided to venture out. I headed toward Harrah’s Casino and I was looking for somewhere to get a salad. Well… I came across Kubi’s Bar and Café. I decided to head on in. I came in and I was immediately greeted by Casey. She was very friendly and welcomed me in. She gave me a menu and I ordered a drink at the bar while I browsed the menu. I picked out my salad and placed my order. I watched Casey work and she handled all the customers with ease. My salad arrived very promptly and it was HUGE! It had homemade croutons and fresh crispy lettuce. I was shocked at the size and it was very reasonable priced. Apparently I made a good choice for lunch. I’m glad I stopped by. After I finished my salad, I decided to stay for another drink. This place has TV’s and is just very relaxing. And Casey made me feel comfortable being there. This place is a nice hidden jewel in New Orleans. I recommend you go there or do the delivery. You won’t be disappointed! Thanks to Casey and Kubi’s I had a nice afternoon!
