continental Breakfast area is closed for the next 3 days so we got breakfast vouchers for this restaurant. It was not very good. If we had had to pay for it, it definitely wouldn’t have gone over well. My husband had an omelet which was ok and their hash browns are more like deep fried potato bites and those were good with ketchup. I had the bananas foster french toast and took about two bites and was done. It was way too sweet. And the maple syrup had an odd flavor to it. We also got their beignets and they were hard and not good. I am going to be back tomorrow most likely because of the vouchers and hopefully something else on their menu is better than what we got served today. I also saw one of the ladies who work here giving the customer a hard time because he wanted to make sure that either he got his bill there or that it was sent to his room and they couldn’t find the information. she started giving him attitude with her body language and the way she spoke to him even though he was calm and fine to wait and was not giving her a hard time at all even though they told us that the entire breakfast took an hour and a half and they were still waiting by the time we left for the hostess to figure out how to do their bill. Bottom line, if you want breakfast or food of any kind go somewhere else. Ok so morning 2, we got seated and sat there wondering where our waitress and menus were. We finally noticed that they are serving a brunch today. No one told us but when we noticed the food bar off in the distance, we asked to make sure since we are still on the vouchers. Sooo, off to the buffet where everything was cold or gross looking or empty.

The breakfast was not bad but I will never go there again for dinner. The cost to quality was not equal. Facility is clean and the staff is sort of nice.

It’s a hotel restaurant, so don’t expect much except for an extremely high bill. On the plus side, it’s well located for a business lunch especially if you’re holding meetings at the hotel. The staff were pleasant and friendly. The actual food? Well, my salad wasn’t bad — but when I’m paying $ 16 I expect more than a scattering of spinach, 4 craisins and 2 tablespoons of acorn squash. That’s right — my skimpy salad was $ 16. For 3 salads and an iced tea our bill was $ 66. I mean, I get it — it’s a hotel and it’s overpriced but that’s just highway robbery.

Beggars can’t be choosers however, at an overpriced 22.00 this is one of the worst and most expensive breakfast buffets I have ever had(Think Vegas price without the Vegas variety and quality) If it weren’t for the fact that it was pouring torrential rain outside I would never eat here. If I had to value this buffet it would be 15.00 no more than 17.00 per adult. The stations include the following –breads/bagels/pastries –fruits –steel cut oatmeal –omelet –waffle and sugared strawberries and whipped cream –hot foods(sausage, eggs, potatoes, grits, french toast and syrup, biscuit and gravy, bacon) Best station is the omelet station where you can choose a variety of toppings on an regular or white egg. Service leaves much to be desired. Avoid if possible.

This place was overpriced and the food was nothing special. We came here for a conference lunch and I was disappointed in my recommende fish from the waitress. I thought it was okay but didn’t compare at all to the great New Orleans options just down the street. The prices were almost $ 20 a plate and the location is just alright inside the hotel. Save your money and go to somewhere else.

We ordered from the Pelican bar which is the same food as the Roux Bistro. We ordered the reuben, calamari and gumbo. The calamari was a little less than average, the Reuben was very good, and gumbo was absolutely amazing. They also had a breakfast buffet which we went to the in the morning. It was just an average breakfast buffet. They did have an omelet bar, but there was nobody there and I was in a bit of a hurry. We also ordered drinks from the Pelican bar directly and the bartenders were little overwhelmed. My wife tried to get a martini and gave up after about 15 minutes.

Good option for quick bite before leaving the hotel. Decent sandwiches and soup for the price. Wouldn’t come here especially for the restaurant.
